Se finaliza preguntándose por las condiciones para hacer posible y viable un barrio multicultural, común y acogedor para todos./Multicultural neighbourhoods represent the space of the increasing diversity of our cities, where tomo-rrow’s society is constituted. This article analyses the insertion of immigrant neighbours in the Russafa neighbourhood in Valencia, the sociability phenomena and the kind of coexistence which has been genera-ted. Two dynamics are highlighted; on the one side there is the dynamic of the majority, which is more inclusive, based on the pacific however distant coe-xistence. On the other, a more exclusive, minority dynamic exists which characterises the immigrant as a degrading factor and undesirable neighbour. The article finishes wondering about the necessary condi-tions to make possible and feasible a multicultural neighbourhood, able to be common and friendly for all.

Conditions for Primitivity of unital amalgamated full free products of finite dimensional C*-algebras
Francisco Torres-Ayala
Mathematics , 2013,
Abstract: We consider amalgamated unital full free products of the form $A_1*_DA_2$, where $A_1, A_2$ and $D$ are finite dimensional C*-algebras and there are faithful traces on $A_1$ and $A_2$ whose restrictions to $D$ agree. We provide several conditions on the matrices of partial multiplicities of the inclusions $D\hookrightarrow A_1$ and $D\hookrightarrow A_2$ that guarantee that the C*-algebra $A_1*_DA_2$ is primitive. If the ranks of the matrices of partial multiplicities are one, we prove that the algebra $A_1*_DA_2$ is primitive if and only if it has a trivial center.
Carcinoma mucinoso de pelvis renal: A propósito de un caso
Torres Gómez,Francisco Javier; Torres Olivera,Francisco Javier;
Archivos Espa?oles de Urología (Ed. impresa) , 2006, DOI: 10.4321/S0004-06142006000300015
Abstract: objetive: there is some controversy in the terminology used for transitional cell tumors with mucinous differentiation. methods: we report the case of a 50-year-old male with history of recurrent lithiasis whose radological tests discovered a heterogeneous renal pelvis lesion. results: the histologic study of the lesions determined the diagnosis of transitional cell carcinoma of the renal pelvis with ample mucinous differentiation. conclusions: they are rare tumors in such location and the mucinous differentiation does not seem to influence prognosis.
Carcinoma sarcomatoide renal con elementos heterólogos malignos: A propósito de un caso
Torres Gómez,Francisco Javier; Torres Olivera,Francisco Javier;
Archivos Espa?oles de Urología (Ed. impresa) , 2006, DOI: 10.4321/S0004-06142006000600009
Abstract: objective: the sarcomatoid pattern represents the histological type of renal carcinoma with the poorest prognosis, receiving the grade 4 of the furhman classification consistently. methods: we report the case of a 80-year-old male who under went nephr our eterectomy with the pathologic diagnosis of sarcomatoid renal carcinoma with areas of chondro and osteosarcoma, as well as squamous cell differentiation. it is an exceptional case because it is rare to find all these elements in the same tumor. results: the study of the surgical specimen enables in most cases the identification of some of the classic histological patterns of renal carcinoma, nevertheless an immunohistochemical study is of great value for proper classification of the neoplasia and differential diagnosis with other renal lesions, mainly sarcomas. conclusions: the presence of malignant heterologous elements, as in our case, will confirm the. prognosis of these neoplasias, which really don?t have an effective treatment.

The Spanish psychiatric reform in perspective: achievements, pending issues, and the crisis
Francisco Torres-González
Medwave , 2012,
Abstract: In order to analyze the Spanish psychiatric reform, this conference starts from the old dilemma of where to care for the disturbed, that began with Hospital de Ignoscents in the fifteenth century, to the asylum model of the nineteenth century that subsequently became the international reference model, to the most contemporary forms of care based on the open door system that combine institutionalization with ambulatory care for the less compromised patients. The article questions the asylum model and says that the community is an alternative to psychiatric hospitals. The article goes on to describe the process of institutionalization of the psychiatric reform in Spain and includes data con population, territory and human resources in mental health.

Torres Gómez,Francisco Javier; Torres Olivera,Francisco Javier; Torres Gómez,Amelia;

Abstract: objective: polypoid cystitis and intestinal metaplasia are well-known lesions of the bladder. methods: we report the case of one patient with both lesions identified synchronically in the bladder. results: although these lesions are not neoplastic, there are evidences supporting a possible degeneration of the metaplastic epithelium to adenocarcinoma. conclusions: the diagnosis of both lesions is histological and there are not clinical tests or image studies that could enable identification of the real nature of these lesions.
