Historia Actual Online , 2007,

Agricultural Sciences (AS) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/as.2016.77048
Abstract: The increase of human population generates the need to improve the efficiency of food production. A thorough planning is required following the scope of economic and sustainable development, being irrigation a basic tool, however water availability is restricted and it obliges farmers to progress increasing water productivity. Irrigation uses around 70% of total available fresh water, while irrigation water application efficiency is around 40%. Irrigation systems must follow strong criteria at the design stage to achieve high values of water productivity. Maintenance is indispensable to follow the original functioning level of those systems. At last the daily precise management of systems, following soil water potential, considering the effective rain storage at root depth of the crop and the evolution of daily evapotranspiration, preserving natural resources, are relevant to achieve low values of water footprint of this crop. In an 8 year drip irrigation system, the Uniformity Coefficient of Christiansen (UCC) measured was 95.14%; the Uniform Coefficient of the Minor Quart (UCMQ) was 93.16%. The Total Distribution Efficiency (EDT) was 95.13% when measurements finished while the irrigation systems is of. When measurements also considered the volume collected during the “recession phase in drip irrigation” and the “volume of water collected during recession phase in drip irrigation” collected at different points, EDT was 95.13%. Moreover it can be seen that when three different typical soil of the area were considered, the EDT was, 91.85%, 91.47% and 90.30% respectively, according with different water storage capacity of each soil. The Total Distribution Efficient is a strong method, to evaluate the design and management of drip irrigation systems, under different design criteria, management practices and maintenance of the systems. Water footprint in a blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum L.) crop with drip and sprinkler anti-frost system, were measure and values obtained were 846, 310, 223, 212, 172 and 218 liters per kg of fresh fruit in the period 2010-2015. The UCC and the UCMQ reflects properly the irrigation design, while the EDT reflects irrigation design, management and maintenance. Water footprint is at last the strong tool to evaluate design and operation of the irrigation system and crop management.

Abstract: all post-perinatal infant deaths occurring within a one-year period in 10 cities in the state of rio grande do sul (brazil), the metropolitan area of porto alegre included, were investigated in a case-control study. seventy-two sudden infant deaths (sid) were identified through a complex monitoring system. these were investigated in detail through medical interviews with the children's parents and through the review of medical records. such deaths were more common in males, during the first three months of life, and in the winter. the comparison of each case with two neighborhood control infants through multiple conditional logistic regression identified the following risk factors: low socio-economic level (measured by family income and maternal education), low birthweight, presence of other children in the household, low maternal age, maternal smoking, and mixed or artificial feeding. none of the 72 deaths had been certified as such by the physicians who filled in the death certificates, the majority of which referred to "bronchopneumonia" as the undereying cause.

The important economic and social role that carry out the small entities in Spain and in all Europe and the current strategy of harmonising the financial information, make worth the analysis of the degree of execution of the objective of utility of the Annual Accounts elaborated according to the domestic standards. In this context, we provide empirical evidence about it by means of a questionnaire sent to the managers of these companies. The results obtained show that the financial information elaborated in conformity with the domestic accounting standards doesn't complete its objective of utility and that the causes of this that can be responsibility of the managers are their mentality of considering the accounting as a cost instead that an investment and their scarce formation in accounting.

BMC Molecular Biology , 2002, DOI: 10.1186/1471-2199-3-7
Abstract: Here we demonstrate that dinucleoside polyphosphate levels increase 500-fold to hundreds of micromolar in strains devoid of the Saccharomyces cerevisiae homolog of Fhit, Hnt2. Accumulation of dinucleoside polyphosphates is reversed by re-expression of Hnt2 and is active site-dependent. Dinucleoside polyphosphate levels depend on an intact adenine biosynthetic pathway and time in liquid culture, and are induced by heat shock to greater than 0.1 millimolar even in Hnt2+ cells. The data indicate that Hnt2 hydrolyzes both ApppN and AppppN in vivo and that, in heat-shocked, adenine prototrophic yeast strains, dinucleoside polyphosphates accumulate to levels in which they may saturate Hnt2.The human FHIT gene, located at the chromosome 3 fragile site FRA3B, is inactivated early in the development of many tumors [1]. Murine Fhit is also located at a fragile site [2,3] and mice heterozygous for disruption of Fhit, given low intragastric doses of the mutagen N-nitrosomethylbenzylamine, develop stomach and sebaceous tumors [4] that can be prevented by viral Fhit expression [5]. Fhit, a dimer of 147 amino acid subunits, is a member of the histidine triad (HIT) superfamily of nucleotide hydrolases and transferases [6,7]. Members of the Hint branch of the HIT superfamily are found in all forms of life [8]. The S. cerevisiae Hint homolog, Hnt1, and rabbit Hint possess adenosine monophosphoramidase activity that functions in yeast to positively regulate function of Kin28, Ccl1 and Tfb3, which constitute the kinase component of general transcription factor TFIIH [9]. A new Hint related protein, Aprataxin, is mutated in individuals with ataxia with oculomotor apraxia [10,11] and has a yeast homolog termed Hnt3 [9]. Members of the Fhit branch of the HIT superfamily have been found in fungi [12,13], animals [2,14,15] and plants [7] and hydrolyze diadenosine tetraphosphate, diadenosine triphosphate and other 5'-5"'-dinucleoside polyphosphates. The middle histidine of the histidine triad

Abstract: the process of winterization consists of fractional crystallization, in which the triglycerides of oils and fats are separate by the partial crystallization in the liquid phase. the objective of this work was to evaluate significant variables and the operational conditions in the solvent winterization process of the fish oil. the crude fish oil from fishery industries was bleached and used as raw material. during the winterization step, the bleached oil was cooled progressively from 30 oc to 5 oc in three phases. the solvent type, solvent proportion, and agitation in the second cooling stage were studied. the fatty acid compositions were determined through gas chromatography. percentage variations of the contents of unsaturated and saturated fatty acids were analyzed. as a result, the use of hexane as solvent, 40% in relation to the oil mass without agitation in the second step of the cooling were recommended. under such conditions, it were obtained an oil with polyunsaturated fatty acid content (pufa) of 64.3%. a percentage increase of approximately 9.2 % in the content of unsaturated fatty acids and a percentage reduction of 13.3% in the content of saturated fatty acids in relation to bleached fish oil was observed.
