American Journal of Molecular Biology (AJMB) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/ajmb.2016.62009
Abstract: Amorphophallus konjac is an important economic crop widely cultivated in Southeast Asia and Africa. However, A. konjac is seriously infected by soft rot pathogen. The endocellular acyl homoserine lactonase (AiiA) which is generated by Bacillus species has inhibitory effect on soft rot pathogen through disrupting the signal molecules (N-acylhomoserine lactones, AHL) of their Quorum Sensing system. The aim of our study is to obtain recombinant yeast which produces AiiA protein. The recombinant yeast Pichia pastoris GS115 was constructed to constitutive expression of the AiiA gene. The results of reverse transcript PCR analysis showed that the AiiA gene was expressed successfully in the yeast. Proteins extracted from YPDS showed the highest inhibition efficacy to E. carotovora compared with the other two mediums (YPD and LB) under tested conditions.
First Report of Marginal Scorch Infecting Indigowoad Root in China  [PDF]
Jinping Wu, Zili Ding, Xiaoyan Liu, Zhenbiao Jiao, Zhengming Qiu, Fengling Guo
American Journal of Plant Sciences (AJPS) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/ajps.2016.710132
Abstract: During 2015, marginal scorch symptoms were detected in the production base of indigowoad rootin Hubei, China. On the basis of morphological features and 18S rDNA sequences, the pathogen was identified as Cladosporium sp. Koch’s postulates were fulfilled by pathogenicity tests on potted indigowoad root seedlings. To our knowledge, this report is the first of marginal scorch on indigowoad root caused by Cladosporium sp. We propose the name “marginal scorch” for the new disease.
Effects of Intercropping on Rhizosphere Soil Bacterial Communities in Amorphophallus konjac  [PDF]

Open Journal of Soil Science (OJSS) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/ojss.2018.89018
Abstract: Soft rot disease causes heavy loss in konjac production every year, which caused by the genus Pectobacterium has been recognized as a major reason why konjac industry has not boomed in worldwide. However, intercropping with economically important trees can effectively control affect soft rot disease epidemics. Consequently, we conducted a rhizosphere bacterial diversity study to assess how intercropping affects soft rot disease using next-generation DNA sequencing. The results demonstrate the Shannon diversity index and Chao 1 index for soil bacteria were relatively steady under intercropping conditions, but changed greatly for the konjac monocrop with the increase in the number of cropping years. Of the 44 bacterial genera with relative abundance ratios of >0.3%, 11 were significantly affected by the duration of continuous cropping and the cultivation mode. Luteolibacter and Bacteroides showed highly significant differences between the monocrop and the intercrop for three continuous years. Pseudomonas was significantly affected by the different cultivation modes, while Myroides was significantly affected by planting age. Intercropping altered the structure and composition of the soil bacterial community, which led to a relative balance of beneficial bacteria, and the relative balance of beneficial bacteria is helpful to reduce the incidence of soft rot.
Mixed-Type Reverse Order Laws for Generalized Inverses over Hilbert Space  [PDF]

Applied Mathematics (AM) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/am.2017.85050
Abstract: In this paper, by using a block-operator matrix technique, we study mixed-type reverse order laws for {1,3}-, {1,2,3}- and {1,3,4}-generalized inverses over Hilbert spaces. It is shown that \"\" and \"\" when the ranges of are closed. Moreover, a new equivalent condition of \"\"is given.
Research on the Design of Organizing Structure in Commodity Wholesale Markets
Fengling Feng,Yongling Zhang
International Journal of Business and Management , 2009, DOI: 10.5539/ijbm.v3n2p32
Abstract: The organizing structure of commodity wholesale markets is the fundamental guarantee for the markets to create value. At present, there are many wholesale markets in our country which have the problem of exerting its efficiency. The aim of designing the organizing structure is to realize the value of the markets. This thesis has done some research on the elementary elements and structure of organizing in terms of the types of wholesale markets.
Changes in the Structure of Economy and the Reform of Higher Education
Fengling Feng,Shihang Mu
International Journal of Business and Management , 2009,
Abstract: With the development of the times and the changes in the social economic structure, the changes in the structure of higher education are taking place. Based on the perspective that the transformation in economic structure greatly affects the changes in talent demand, this thesis discusses the evolution of Chinese education reform and thereby puts forward some corresponding measures to the current problems existing in Chinese education reform.
Gaming Analysis on Forging Counterfeit Products and Fighting with Fake
Fengling Feng,Xiaowen Zhang
International Journal of Business and Management , 2009,
Abstract: The counterfeit and fake products have been rampant increasingly. It has not only affected the quality of people’s lives and the stability of our society, but also hampers the development of our country’s economy. How to deal with this phenomenon has became a concerning problem in the process of economic mechanism switch. This article has presented a discussion among kind of communities in market by the method of gambling, analyzing the reason for their existence and correspondingly proposing the countermeasures.
Triazole derivatives as corrosion inhibitors for mild steel in hydrochloric acid solution

Fengling XU,Baorong HOU,

金属学报(英文版) , 2009,
Abstract: The title compounds 1-(4,5-dihydro-3-phenyl pyridine-1-yl)-2-(1H-1,2,4-triazole-1-yl)ethyl ketones were studied as a corrosion inhibitor in a mild steel in 1 mol /L hy-drochloric acid solution using weight loss measurement, potentiodynamic polariza-tion,and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS).Results indicated that these compounds had excellent inhibition properties.Polarization curves indicated that the inhibitor behaved mainly as mixed-type inhibitor. The EIS results showed that the charge transfer ...

Mathematics , 2013,
Abstract: In this paper, we give a simple proof of Lickorish and Wallace's theorem, which states that every closed orientable 3-manifold is obtained by surgery on some link in 3-sphere.
The Global Behavior of a Periodic Epidemic Model with Travel between Patches
Luosheng Wen,Bin Long,Xin Liang,Fengling Zeng
Abstract and Applied Analysis , 2012, DOI: 10.1155/2012/295060
Abstract: We establish an SIS (susceptible-infected-susceptible) epidemic model, in which the travel between patches and the periodic transmission rate are considered. As an example, the global behavior of the model with two patches is investigated. We present the expression of basic reproduction ratio 0 and two theorems on the global behavior: if 0 < 1 the disease-free periodic solution is globally asymptotically stable and if 0 > 1, then it is unstable; if 0 > 1, the disease is uniform persistence. Finally, two numerical examples are given to clarify the theoretical results.
