An Improved Chirplet Transform and Its Application for Harmonics Detection  [PDF]

Abstract: The chirplet transform is the generalization form of fast Fourier transform , short-time Fourier transform, and wavelet transform. It has the most flexible time frequency window and successfully used in practices. However, the chirplet transform has not inherent inverse transform, and can not overcome the signal reconstructing problem. In this paper, we proposed the improved chirplet transform (ICT) and constructed the inverse ICT. Finally, by simulating the harmonic voltages, The power of the improved chirplet transform are illustrated for harmonic detection. The contours clearly showed the harmonic occurrence time and harmonic duration.
Relationships between constitutional types of traditional Chinese medicine and motion sickness in 145 ocean sailors

Abstract: Objective: To investigate the relationships between constitutional types of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and motion sickness.Methods: A survey of TCM constitutions in ocean sailors participating in a voyage was performed by using the TCM Constitution Questionnaire developed by Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, while the survey of motion sickness was operated by Graybiel’s diagnostic criteria. The incidences of motion sickness among sailors with different types of constitutions were compared.Results: Prior to the voyage, 50.3% of sailors exhibited a gentleness constitution, 14.5% were of dampness-heat constitution, 10.3% were of qi-stagnation constitution, whereas the percentages of qi-deficiency, yang-deficiency, yin-deficiency, blood-stasis and special diathesis constitutions were 6.2%, 7.6%, 6.2%, 4.1% and 0.7%, respectively. None exhibited a phlegm-dampness constitution. By the end of the 176-day voyage, the percentages of gentleness, dampness-heat, qi-depression, qi-deficiency, yang-deficiency, yin-deficiency, blood-stasis, special diathesis and phlegm-dampness constitutions were 33.8%, 13.8%, 13.1%, 11.0%, 6.9%, 9.7%, 4.1%, 0.7% and 6.9%, respectively. The incidence of motion sickness was 69.7% (101 sailors) during this voyage. The incidences of motion sickness among sailors with different types of constitutions before the voyage showed significant difference (P<0.001). The incidence of motion sickness was higher in the sailors with dampness-heat constitution than in those with gentleness constitution.Conclusion: Types of Chinese medical constitution can be related to susceptibility to motion sickness. Furthermore, ocean voyage may have an effect or influence on the type of Chinese medical constitution of sailors involved.
Construction of Anti-CD28 Single Chain Antibody Genes and Expression of the ScFv in BmN Cells and the Larvae of Bombyx mori

Abstract: The V(H) and V(L) gene fragments of anti-CD28 mAb were combined to form anti-CD28 ScFv gene by using TP-PCR method. Sequence analysis showed that 6 x His tag was added to it for the ease of purification and the V(H), and V(L) gene fragments were connected by a linker containing 15 amino acids which are biased by the baculovirus promoter, ph. Then ScFv gene fragment was inserted into baculovirus transfer vector pBacPAK8. The recombinant transfer vector, pBacPAK8/CD28-ScFv was constructed successfully. The pBacPAK8/CD28-ScFv and the linear Bm-BacPAK6 were co-transfected into the cell line of Bombyx mori (BmN) with the help of Lipofectin,then the product was purified by plaque assay and identified by PCR method. The recombinant virus, Bm-BacPAK6 CD28-ScFv, was obtained successfully. The BmN cells and the larvae of Bombyx mori were infected by the recombinant baculovirus and harvested every 24h postinfection. SDS-PAGE and Western Blotting analysis confirmed the expression of ScFv with the molecular weight of about 28 kD. The expression in BmN cells was detected 24h post infection and it peaked at 72 h, while in the larvae of Bombyx mori, the expression was detected 48 h post infection and it peaked at 120 h.
Construction of a Recombinant Baculovirus Transfer Vector with Two Promoters Expressing the Anti-human CD28 Chimeric Antibody by Using TP-PCR Method

Abstract: CD28, a cell surface glycoprotein, predominantly expressed on T cells, belongs to the Ig superfamily and provides critical co-stimulatory signals. The data which have published indicate that the monoclonal antibody against CD28 can decrease curative effects when it was applied in vivo for a long time. In order to avoid the human-anti-mouse action, anti-CD28 mAb must be humanized before it can be used in clinical study. Chimeric antibody, consisting of variable regions of mouse antibody and the constant regions of human IgG1, is often chosen by designers in generating humanized antibody. In this study, to prepare the anti-human CD28 chimeric antibody, the genes coding variable regions of anti-CD28 mAb and the constant regions of human IgG1 were cloned by PCR method. Then, the target genes were assembled by TP-PCR, a novel method developed for fusing genes without designing endonuclease sites at the both end of the target genes, and inserted into the baculovirus transfer vector pAcUW3 respectively. Thus, the recombinant baculovirus transfer vector with two strong promoters, ph and p 10 was successfully constructed, which can express two different foreign genes at the same time. The recombinant vector was identified by the methods of restriction digesting, electrophoresis, PCR amplification and further verified by DNA sequence analysis. This work will contribute to expressing the chimeric CD28 antibody in insect cells.

Abstract: Fe ions of dose 8 × 1016 cm-2 are implanted into a ZnO single crystal at 180 keV. Annealing at 1073 K leads to the formation of zinc ferrite (ZnFe2O4), which is verified by synchrotron radiation X-ray diffraction (SR-XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The crystallographically oriented ZnFe2O4 is formed inside the ZnO with the orientation relationship of ZnFe2O4 (111)//ZnO (0001). Superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) measurements show that the as-implanted and post-annealing samples are both ferromagnetic at 5 K. The synthesized ZnFe2O4 is superparamagnetic, with a blocking temperature (TB = 25 K), indicated by zero field cooling and field cooling (ZFC/FC) measurements.
Asymptotic Laplacian-Energy-Like Invariant of Lattices

Abstract: Let $\mu_1\ge \mu_2\ge\cdots\ge\mu_n$ denote the Laplacian eigenvalues of $G$ with $n$ vertices. The Laplacian-energy-like invariant, denoted by $LEL(G)= \sum_{i=1}^{n-1}\sqrt{\mu_i}$, is a novel topological index. In this paper, we show that the Laplacian-energy-like per vertex of various lattices is independent of the toroidal, cylindrical, and free boundary conditions. Simultaneously, the explicit asymptotic values of the Laplacian-energy-like in these lattices are obtained. Moreover, our approach implies that in general the Laplacian-energy-like per vertex of other lattices is independent of the boundary conditions.

Abstract: 为了快速提取源头数据、快速识别变化记录以及实现数据的快速增量提取, 在剖析传统影子表法的工作原理上, 提出基于MD5算法的影子表法的改进型线性算法, 对对比表进行线性扫描, 排除了不必要的回扫操作; 同时通过MD5算法计算整条记录的“指纹”, 降低了字符串比对次数和时间, 能够迅速识别出发生变化的记录。对所提出算法进行了应用测试, 结果表明通过融入MD5算法后的影子表法提高了数据提取效率。基于影子表的增量提取方法是一种通用的增量捕获方法, 能在任何数据库上实现; 应用程序可以方便地在多种平台间移植, 因此很适合解决异构数据库复制问题。
