An Extended Model of Currency Options Applicable as Policy Tool for Central Banks with Inflation Targeting and Dollarized Economies  [PDF]
Luis-Felipe Arizmendi
Theoretical Economics Letters (TEL) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/tel.2013.33027
Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to provide a new set of tools for policy makers at central banks. Based on the Garman-Kohlhagen [1] formula for currency options, this research extends it with the Taylor-rule expression used for inflation targeting, thus obtaining the corresponding Call and Put options and the first and higher-degree partial derivatives known as “Greeks” for key variables such as the policy target domestic interest rate and the output gap.

Afinal, quem é mesmo pedófilo?
Felipe, Jane;
Cadernos Pagu , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0104-83332006000100009
Abstract: this article raises questions about some aspects of the contemporary debate concerning the "new" modes of experimenting erotic and sexual desires, especially pedophilia/the pedophile. it discusses the resignification of these concepts over the last years. the starting points are the cultural studies and the gender studies, in a post-structuralist analysis approach. i intend to show that, despite the attempts of confining/regulating/ categorizing certain behaviors regarding sexuality into specific fields of knowledge, they leak, slip, escape from the meanings attributed to them.
Del pajarístico al lenguaje de los pájaros
Cussen,Felipe;
Acta literaria , 2009, DOI: 10.4067/S0717-68482009000200007
Abstract: in this article i track some of the sources enunciated by juan luis martínez in two texts from la nueva novela, and i relate them with other musicians and poets who share the obsession for birds. then i analize the topic of the language of paradise, which reflects the ideal of transparency sought by martínez.
Andrés Anwandter: la apertura continua
Cussen,Felipe;
Estudios filológicos , 2005, DOI: 10.4067/S0071-17132005000100004
Abstract: in this article i follow the development of andrés anwandter's poetic production through its individual and collective publications, and unpublished material. along with reviewing the judgments that it has deserved, my analysis tries to show how his proposal has been based on a fertile dialogue with his predecessors, a critical vision of the writing and the necessity to deepen in the concrete aspects of language. far from paralyzing him, these factors have become the incentives of a decidedly experimental vocation
EL CUERPO COMO POSIBILIDAD DE LA VIDA: EL MODO DE DESPLIEGUE DEL MUNDO CONCRETO
Johnson,Felipe;
Alpha (Osorno) , 2011, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-22012011000200009
Abstract: the attempt to develop an ontology of the human corporality emphasizing her own character of being, must be confronted with a fundamental problem: to determine the authentic way of how the human body can unfold itself assuring an access to its more proper sense. the present article, takes as a point of departure the analytics of dasein and the methodical considerations of martin heidegger, and aims to point out some guidelines of research, which may contribute to face up the problem, especially emphasizing in those methodical aspects that arise when an ontology of the corporality is developed.
HACIA LA PREGUNTA POR LA CORPORALIDAD: REFLEXIONES SOBRE EL CUERPO HUMANO EN CUANTO ORGANISMO
Johnson,Felipe;
Alpha (Osorno) , 2009, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-22012009002900012
Abstract: the dissemination of the natural science in everyday life has resulted in a particular experience of human body, which now seems to be predominant: the concept of the human body as an organism. the organism concept, in their current articulation, seems to be the basis and guideline in much consideration of this problematic even inside of some philosophical perspective rooted in the cartesian interpretation of human body. the aim of this article is to investigate the assumptions, which compose this experience in order to contribute with a strict approach to the philosophical question of corporality.

Chagas disease in Andean countries
Guhl, Felipe;
Memórias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz , 2007, DOI: 10.1590/S0074-02762007005000099
Abstract: the andean countries' initiative (aci) for controlling chagas disease was officially created in 1997 within the framework of the hipolito unanue agreement (unanue) between the ministries of health of colombia, ecuador, peru, and venezuela. its objective was to interrupt transmission via vector and transfusion in the region, taking into account that there are 12.5 million people at risk in the four andean countries forming the initiative in the area and around 3 million people are infected by trypanosoma cruzi. the progress of control activities for the vector species present in the andean sub-region, for different reasons, has been slow and control interventions have still not been installed in all geographical areas occupied by the target species. this has been partly due to lack of knowledge about these vector populations' biological characteristics, and consequent uncertainty about which are the appropriate control measures and strategies to be implemented in the region. the main vector species present important similarities in venezuela and colombia and in ecuador and northern peru and they can be approached in a similar way throughout the whole regions, basing approaches on and adapting them to the current strategies being developed in venezuela during the 1960s which have been progressively adopted in the southern cone and central-american region. additional measures are needed for keeping endemic areas free from rhodnius prolixus silvatic populations, widely spread in the orinoco region in colombia and venezuela. regarding aetiological treatment, it is worth mentioning that (with the exception of colombia) none of the other countries forming the aci have registered medicaments available for treating infected young people. there are no suitable follow-up programmes in the sub-region or for treating cases of congenital chagas disease. an integral and integrated programme encompassing all the aspects including transmission by transfusion which seems to have achi
Brasil: de la democracia racial al estatuto de la igualdad racial
Arocena, Felipe;
Argumentos (México, D.F.) , 2007,
Abstract: brazilian intellectuals, with few exceptions, systematically refused to accept that there was a problem of racism against blacks and indians in their country. for them brazil, in opposition to what happened in the us, had integrated harmoniously the three main races of its population: blacks, portuguese and indians. it was not until 1995 when the state, under the government of fernando henrique cardoso, acknowledged publicly that the country suffered from the burden of racism. since that recognition, supported by abundant empirical data, which unmistakably demonstrates the problem, brazil has unwaveringly embarked on the path towards affirmative action. this article analyzes the radical transformation that goes from the conception of the country as a racial democracy, to the statute for the equality of race. this law, approved unanimously by the senate -but still waiting approval by the lower chamber- radically challenges the historic perception of racial integration and officially outlines affirmative action policies to fight racism.

Zurita,Felipe;
Cuadernos de economía , 2009, DOI: 10.4067/S0717-68212009000200003
Abstract: this essay discusses the status of financial economics as a discipline in the face of the current global crisis. contrary to some criticisms that have been levled, it defends the thesis that the discipline has not irresponsibly abused the rational man-rational markets paradigm, thereby causing a general unawareness of the dangers conceiled in the real estate bubble.
