Politics as a Profession  [PDF]
Ankit Kumar Manoj, Dinesh Sridharan, Manoj Kulandaivel
Open Journal of Political Science (OJPS) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/ojps.2016.62018
Abstract: The proposed research is about the people’s perception about “Politics as profession”. This paper examines multiple case studies of people’s opinion about making career in politics and further explains why most of the people are not interested in politics. By and large, people in India consider Politics as “dirt”. The word “Uneducated” is directly linked with politicians in India. We have our own Indian Political history as background information for us to understand people’s mentality towards politics and why most of us never want to join it. The purpose of this paper is to study the mentality of Indian parents about letting their children pursue politics as their profession. The main objective of this research is to make people understand that we can never clean the dirt by just staying away from it. Results of various surveys have been included to support the fact that people are afraid to take politics as a career. Post-Independence Era has seen kith and kin of late famous political figures that have entered politics in spite of being uneducated. Education doesn’t just mean acquiring degrees from some university, but to have a sense of honor towards leading people. This paper also stresses on the fact that most people agree on having an educated politician but most of the educated people are not interested in joining politics. As we know, many Indian politicians shroud in fake degree scandal, which shows the education status of politicians in India. Our proposal signifies that people need to change their mentality about politics and join it in true professional spirit so that we can be a developed nation and present an example to the rest of the world.
Picasso alquimista: Una lectura de "Las Meninas"
Lucero,Guadalupe;
Aisthesis , 2010, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-71812010000100018
Abstract: the objective of this essay is to reflect on picasso's las meninas según velázquez, painted in 1957. we have chosen three moments to develop our thesis: in the first place, we will develop a critical revisión of the classical lectures on las meninas since foucault published his essay in les mots et les choses (1966); secondly, and taking as a starting point rosalind krauss' essay on picasso, the picasso papers, we will read the series as a dialectic of fake and falsification, and finally we will analyze the relationship between form and content through the problem-posing of musical variation. we would like to point out that what is revolutionary in picasso's series is indeed their fake power.
An Analysis of Intertextuality in Tripmaster Monkey:His Fake Book

- , 2015,
Maxine Hong Kinston′s master piece Tripmaster Monkey:His Fake Book has a strong sense of intertextuality. Based on Chinese ancient classic novel Journey to the West, Kingston′s novel mixes a great amount of Chinese and Western words so that the deep-rooted Chinese-Americans′bewilderment of identity can be revealed through the intertextual splicing of English and Chinese. By analyzing its intertextuality, this paper tries to study how Kinston faces the identity issue of the Chinese-Americans, and how she seeked the application of intertextuality as an effective tool in Chinese-American literature
THE TRAGEDY CAUSED BY FAKE ANTIMALARIAL DRUGS
Pierre Ambroise-Thomas
Mediterranean Journal of Hematology and Infectious Diseases , 2012, DOI: 10.4084/mjhid.2012.
Abstract: Counterfeit antimalarials (mainly artemisinin derivatives) is a crucial health problem in developing countries, particularly in Africa. The illegal production, sale and distribution of fake drugs is a huge market evaluated to several billion of dollars and represents more than 50% of the pharmaceutical market in several African countries. Fake drugs have led to a very great number of deaths from untreated malaria or fatality provoked by toxic ingredients. These fake medicines increase the risk of artemisinin resistance developed by the use of sub therapeutic dosages of antimalarials. Tackling this criminal traffic is the objective of an international programme created by WHO and involves the international police and custom organizations like INTERPOL. Several very important and encouraging results have been obtained, but the problem will be completely solved if genuine antimalarials, free-of-charge, are handed-over to populations in sub Sahara African countries.
Alves Filho, Francisco;Alexandre, Leila Rachel Barbosa;
Linguagem em (Dis)curso , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S1518-76322012000300006
Abstract: in this paper, taking as presupposition the idea that referenciation is a discursive process carried out during the construction of the text (mondada; dubois, 2003; koch, 2005; marcuschi, 2008), and also the understanding that discourse genres, according to their rhetorical and situational particularities, exert constraints for the referential processes, we aimed to analyze some peculiarities of the construction process of objects of discourse in posts produced in the fake profiles of twitter, characterized by assuming the discursive logic of a celebrity and seeking to provoke fun and humor to the internet users. the corpus is composed of a set of examples of posts that circulated in fake profiles parodying brazilian celebrities and were chosen according to the more evident incidence of referential construction. as a result we can say that fake both offers the perspective for the construction of objects of discourse mentioned in posts and is itself tributary of such a construction.
A circulation of false bank notes in the territory of the Penza region at the end of XVIII–beginning of XIX centuries
Kolchugina S. V.,Karpovа L. A.
Sociosfera , 2012,
Abstract: This article is devoted to a problem of circulation of false bank notes in the Russian Empire at the end the XVIII–beginning of the XIX centuries. Emergence in Russia at the end of the 1760th of paper money considerably simplified process of their fake that caused, together with known historical circumstances (for example, with events of Patriotic war of 1812), counterfeiting blossoming. The specified problem is considered on materials of the Penza edge which, being a part of the huge state, couldn't avoid in the history of those processes occurring in all Russia.
Picasso alquimista: Una lectura de "Las Meninas" Alchemist Picasso: a Reading of "Las Meninas"
Guadalupe Lucero
Aisthesis , 2010,
The objective of this essay is to reflect on Picasso's Las meninas según Velázquez, painted in 1957.
Phishing Website Detection Using Particle Swarm Optimization
Radha Damodaram & Dr.M.L.Valarmathi
International Journal of Computer Science and Security , 2011,
Abstract: Fake websites is the process of attracting people to visit fraudulent websites and making them toenter confidential data like credit-card numbers, usernames and passwords. We present a novelapproach to overcome the difficulty and complexity in detecting and predicting fake website. Thereis an efficient model which is based on using Association and classification Data Mining algorithmsoptimizing with PSO algorithm. These algorithms were used to characterize and identify all thefactors and rules in order to classify the phishing website and the relationship that correlate themwith each other. It also used MCAR classification algorithm to extract the phishing training data setscriteria to classify their legitimacy. After classification, those results have been optimized with AntColony Optimization (ACO) algorithm. But, this work has limitations like Sequences of randomdecisions (not independent) and Time to convergence uncertain in the phishing classification. So toovercome this limitation we enhance Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) which finds a solution toan optimization problem in a search space, or model and predict social behaviour in the presenceof phishing websites. This will improve the correctly classified phishing websites. The experimentalresults demonstrated the feasibility of using PSO technique in real applications and its betterperformance. This project employs the JAVA technology.
Isabelle Gerardy
CeROArt : Conservation, Exposition, Restauration d'Objets d'Art , 2009,
The thermoluminescence phenomenon has been use since more than 30 years to evaluate the age of certain archaeological samples. Since a couple of year, some try to pass over this test using different techniques like the artificial irradiation of recent objects or the re-use of some pieces of ancient potteries to manufacture object showing a real TL signal. Fortunately, some other analysis techniques like binocular observation or an analyse of the object style are able to distinguish true from false.
Library Literacy Program: Library as Battleground for Fighting Fakenews  [PDF]
William Taala, Filoteo B. Franco Jr., Parisa H. Sta. Teresa
Open Access Library Journal (OALib Journal) , 2019, DOI: 10.4236/oalib.1105296
Abstract:
Library literacy programs have continued to play a pivotal role in ensuring that students only consume the information necessary to their studies in the wake of fake news. Before the introduction of the Internet as an information tool, fake news was dealt with amicably before reaching out to numerous persons. Nevertheless, the advent of the Internet has contributed to the spread of fake news to unparalleled levels. Educational institutions of higher learning should ensure that their literacy programs meet the required threshold and equip the learners with prerequisite skills to differentiate between fake news and factual academic content as well as promote a reading culture and critical thinking skills. The research paper also highlights the medical student situation in Saudi Arabia that has been transformed from five institutions to approximately 21 institutions illustrating the need for library literacy skills to students in the quest to improve the quality of medical studies in the country. Cognizant of the fake journals accessed at the click of a button with unlimited access, the need for library literacy programs is timely. The social, economic and political development of a country highly depends on the educational competence of its population. For this reason, countries across the world have continued to allocate a substantial amount of money towards educational development by opening up new academic facilities as well as enhancing teacher population.
