Abstract: Introduction: Hospital Recreation (HR) aims to reduce disasters caused by hospital admission. Objectives: To expose the behavior of children in cancer treatment (CA) during HR, and to verify which recreational activities generate the most adherence. Methods: The research is an experimental clinical trial of a non-probabilistic and intentional sample, with a quantitative and qualitative approach. Participants were 43 children (both sexes), with CA, admitted to the Pediatric Hospital Oncology CenterPHOC. The mean age of the children in fact was 7.5 years, and the data of mean and standard deviation between parenthood confer with the data of the results found during the research. The study lasted 12 weeks, with 38 sessions lasting 3 hours. Using games of activity: cognitive, manipulative, perceptive, creative and cooperative. Inclusion criteria: 1) being hospitalized in the PHOC, of the city of Natal; 2) being released by the medical team to participate in the activities. Children who were on special care in the ICU were excluded from the study. The behavior of the children was evaluated by the observation matrix proposed by Urie Bonfenbrenner, approached by Krebs and Koller. At

Abstract: The treatment of breast cancer (BC) leaves emotional and functional sequels affecting the quality of life (QOL) of the survivors. We aim to investigate, intense exercises in the rehabilitation of BC survivors. Using the systematic search model in the PubMed databases; Lilacs Bireme and Scielo. Meta-Analysis used the Meta package implemented in software R (version 3.3.2) p < 0.05. We selected 29 articles, and after reading in the Integra, we excluded 27 texts being included in the meta-analysis only 2. In the QOL, the heterogeneity in the emotional function showed a difference of 75%, in the social function 36% and in the physics 32%. Using intense exercises in BC survivors during rehabilitation improves overall QOL, muscle structure, and preserves functional capacity.

Abstract: it was aimed to understand the meaning of family care offered to mastectomized women. this is a qualitative study that used as theoretical reference the symbolic and methodological interactionism and the grounded theory. 11 relatives were interviewed between july and august 2008. the results showed the following phenomena: facing family difficulty to take care, facing the diagnosis of breast cancer in the family and noticing the family care after surgery. it was concluded that, in spite of participants valuing family care, some felt unprepared to effectively perform it. a consistent family relationship is considered a fundamental strategy for the rehabilitation of mastectomized women.

Abstract: objectives: to discover the clinical and pathologic aspects of cases of female breast cancer registered at a public oncology service in sergipe. methods: an attempt was made to associate the stage with the characteristics of the tumors. data was gathered from 165 medical records taken between 2005 and 2008 at the oncology outpatients clinic of the hospital cirurgia, in the city of aracaju, sergipe, using a data collection form in 2009. results: ductal invasive carcinoma was identified as the most frequent kind of neoplasia, accounting for 80.8% of cases. seventy-six (46.1%) of neoplasias were identified at an advanced stage (iib, iii and iv) and mastectomy was the main kind of surgery used, irrespective of the stage of the cancer. all the hormone receptors were associated with the stage and it was noted that positive estrogen and progesterone levels were associated with a more positive prognosis. conclusions: it is worth noting that the cases of breast cancer studied were those that are more biologically aggressive with a less promising prognosis in terms of clinical stage. action to ensure early detection of breast cancer needs to be taken in the course of basic care in sergipe in order to reduce morbidity and mortality and to improve the survival rates and quality of life of women afflicted with this kind of neoplasia.

Abstract: in the district of paracambi, state of rio de janeiro an epidemiological survey for american tegumentary leishmaniasis in canine population was carried out in endemic localities. a total of 179 dogs was registered and 138 (77.1%) examined for their clinical aspects, development of delayed hypersensitivity (dhs) with imunoleish? antigen and serological responses by indirect immunofluorescent reaction and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. in 9 (6.5%) dogs with active cutaneous lesions or suspect scars, 66.7% were caused by leishmania sp; 44.4% produced infection in hamsters and showed growth in culture media, which was considered to be compatible with the species of leishmania braziliensis complex. the molecular characterization (isoenzyme and kdna restriction profiles) defined two strains with similar profiles for l. (viannia) braziliensis. the prevalence of canine infection estimated by the cutaneous test, ifr and elisa was 10.1%, 16.7% and 27.8%, respectively. the presence of clinical / sub-clinical form of atl in canine population associated with human infections suggested that the dog can act as source of infection as well as for dissemination of the disease.

Abstract: a world-society that ranges from the westernization of the world to cultural diversity, from progress to poverty, and from the "society's metamorphosis alternatives or its disaster" ( morin, 2008a, p.38) seems to have in education an important key to face the scenario of uncertainty that characterizes our common future. overcoming the fragmentation of knowledge, reconnect knowledge and transpose the shortcomings of the information society set the open horizon of complex knowledge and a reform of thought and education. 'educating for life' becomes, according to edgar morin, the role and mission of education tuned with an ecology of ideas.

Abstract: The paradigm of thinking the world in a fragmented way that permeates the modern sciences born in the 17th Century, especially from the first half of the 20th Century onward, is unsatisfactory to the understand complex phenomena – be them physical or social. An ecology of knowledge, as it is now being conceived, recognizes the multidimensionality of phenomena and the interconnection among systems, at the same time that it reaffirms both cultural and cognitive diversity as principles capable of surpassing the “monoculture of mind” and questioning the planet’s Westernization.

Abstract: from concerns about students with visual impairments in regular classrooms for physics, arose the necessity to question future teachers about this subject in a course: "teaching physics and social inclusion", taught in the 2009 second semester, for undergraduate students in physics. the objective was to perceive the trends suggested by the future teachers, from their own reflections on the debates which emerged in class, about inclusion of visually impaired students. information was collected from written material among three students who had already completed the course: a questionnaire answered in the first class, a kind of log-book of the class, students' final projects and their course evaluations. data analysis was based on the bakhtinian analysis of discourse. we noted that the students evolve in their ideas about inclusion, being more sensitive towards the subject, developing more suitable solutions for those with visual disabilities and that they intend to be more inclusive professionals.
