Revista mexicana de análisis de la conducta , 2011, DOI: 10.5514/rmac.v37.i2.26147
Abstract: two experiments were designed to evaluate the effects of power functions proposed by ribes (2001) in schoolchildren's obedience and compliance. in the experiment 1,the effect of these functions were compared by the establishment of: 1) the experimenter intervention, who in a first phase of the experiments, he acted like an authority figure with power based on the force (obedience), and b) the familiarization with the experimenter without authority function in the experimental situation (compliance). meanwhile in the experiment 2, the experimenter acted like an authority figure with power based on the richness (obedience). it was found that participants exposed to an authority with power based on the force were more obedient that participants exposed to an authority with power based on the richness, and participants exposed to conditions of familiarization with the experimenter.
Muerte encefálica: repercusión sobre órganos y tejidos Brain death: Repercussion on the organs and tissues

Medicina Intensiva , 2009,
Brain death is accompanied by a series of hemodynamic, hormonal and inflammatory systemic effects that have an important repercussion on the economy of the organs and tissues. There is increasing evidence that the organs from brain death donors have an inflammatory response grade secondary to brain death and sometimes proportional to the intensity and rate of its progression. Both clinical and experimental studies have shown that the result of organs from heart arrest deceased donors or live donors have the same or better clinical results than those obtained in brain death donors and who have suffered the inflammatory process secondary to it. There is proof that this inflammatory response occurs in the lung, heart, kidneys, liver, intestine. Furthermore, the evidence also shows that the grade of inflammatory response observed in the organs has an important influence on the final outcome of the transplant. Consequently, the development of the knowledge regarding the pathways that interrelate brain death with the inflammatory organ respon

ANTIHELMINTIC TREATMENT OF GOATS ON AN ARID RANGE AND ITS EFFECT ON MILK PRODUCTION EARLY IN LACTATION
Miguel Mellado,Henry González,Raul Valdéz,Francisco Pastor
Ciência Animal Brasileira , 2006,
Abstract: The effect of a single anthelmintic treatment at thebeginning of lactation on milk production and composition, live weight change and blood chemistry in mix-breeds goats was studied in an arid zone of northern Mexico. Ten adult goats were treated with Closantel subcutaneously at 8.0mg kg-1 BW. Eleven adult goats were used as untreated controls. The overall total trial reduction in fecal egg counts due to anthelmintic treatment was 96%, but this fecal egg counts reduction did not affect live weight change (-13 ±0.5 and -15 ± 0.3 g d-1 for treated and control does), milk yield(30.7 ± 0.4 and 33.6 ± 0.8 L in 73 days of lactation for treated and control does). No significant differences were seen in milk composition and blood profiles between treated and untreated goats. It was concluded that, in the present context of goat exploitation under traditional extensive village system in an arid environment, parasite burdens at the beginning of lactation were not sufficiently severe to affect milk production and weight change of goats. KEY WORDS: Anthelmintic treatment, blood chemistry, body weight, goats, milk production, gastrointestinal nematodes.

Authors present the case of a woman with personal pathologic backgrounds of persistent light bronchial asthma and of an atopic dermatitis. She came to our service by fever of 60 days of evolution, cough, dyspnea, anorexia, and weight loss with a progressive worsening. A hypersensitivity pneumonitis was diagnosed after imaging and histological studies. Clinical and radiological course was described.

Abstract: over the past 40 years, industry at the border has opened employment opportunities for women in the community of nogales, arizona. notably, the expansion of free trade through agreements between the u.s. and méxico has deepened economic instability due to the use of flexible labor, a practice in which women are participating more actively this article presents case studies of women engaged in the retail and maquiladora labor markets. these cases help emphasize the relationship between flexible labor, household reproduction and education. it's argued that the increase in flexible job offers complements sociocultural mandates that emphasize the reproductive role of women. therefore, the combination of flexible job offers and cultural mandates generally counteracts the acquisition of education-which eventually would lead to greater human capital development and economic stability in the household.

Abstract: Acapulco, offers for international tourism a variety of mollusks that are delightful to the palate and a source of economic revenue for its residents; however there are no studies on the species consumed. Furthermore, data from the State agencies responsible for registration of these products are unclear. This work is aimed to develop an inventory of Gastropoda, Bivalvia and Polyplacophora marketed as food, to gain knowledge on the species native to Acapulco and the introduced ones. The places that sell shellfish were interviewed from 2008 to 2011 in order to determine the geographical origin of their products being offered. We identified 42 species: 15 species of gastropods are captured locally and three are introduced. On Bivalvia, seven species are caught locally and 16 are introduced. There are Bivalvia species caught locally; however, their capture is now unaffordable. It is likely that this situation is due to overfishing and/or the transmission of diseases or parasites caused by the introduction of foreign living organisms to Acapulco. Within the list of species caught locally, there are some listed as of subject protection; all of these organisms are exploited in Acapulco without control. The wealth of marine mollusks for human consumption in Acapulco is very high. The capture does not satisfy local market demand and the amount of introduced species is very high. It is necessary to make a diagnostic analysis of mollusk fishing industry in the state of Guerrero, also implement a management program, including the sanitary measures and control of introduced species, as they arrive alive and stay alive in the waters of Acapulco. A significant number of native species that have aquaculture potential should be studied for commercial culture practice as well as to conduct studies on their biology on those species that are considered over-exploited and allow recovery of the species in its habitat.
