Individualización y prevención social del delito en Argentina: la reactualización de las "clases peligrosas"

Abstract: the purpose of this article is to present some research advances about what has been conceptualized as processes of individualization in the "social" prevention of crime, based on a study of the ways in which poverty and crime are constructed in the confluence of vulnerable community programs and community employment. in this way, based on a qualitative methodological focus that combines analysis of administrative documents and in-depth interviews with implementing agents, the article describes the tendency towards the construction of individualistic interventions, shifting the focus on changing living conditions as a method to prevent crime, and establishing a particular link between crime and poverty and in more general terms, between crime and living conditions.

Abstract: This essay thoroughly studies the last stage of Virgilio Pi era Llera’s dramatic production and the biographical and political context in which it was written. This is to be done by means of the study of El trac (1974). It is highlighted the image of a dynamic Pi era in his work as playwright. So, he was able to adapt and melt the main worries that had been the core of his work till that very moment. A través del análisis de El trac (1974) se repasa la fase final de la producción teatral de Virgilio Pi era, así como las circunstancias vitales y políticas que la rodearon. Se enfatiza la visión de un Pi era dinámico en su quehacer como dramaturgo, capaz de aprovechar las últimas corrientes teatrales y fundirlas con las preocupaciones vertebrales que hasta entonces habían determinado sus piezas.

Abstract: El artículo aborda las construcciones de lo individual, lo comunitario y lo social que emergen en la confluencia de una intervención de prevención “social” del delito y una política social asistencial en Argentina. Es producto de una investigación mayor que se propone indagar acerca de la relación entre las definiciones de pobreza y delito y las estrategias de intervención asociadas a las mismas en la articulación entre los programas Comunidades Vulnerables y de Empleo Comunitario. Desde un enfoque metodológico cualitativo, se argumentará que la implementación de dicha estrategia de prevención social del delito, en su vinculación con una política asistencial, describirá una tendencia hacia la comunitarización de su intervención a partir de construir una territorialización segmentada, y hacia la individualización, fundamentalmente en los mecanismos preventivos propuestos.ABSTRACTThis article focuses at the analysis of the tensions that emerge from the meeting of a social crime prevention strategy and a social policy in Argentina. These tensions turn run the constructions of the idea of “social”, “community” and “individual”. This analysis is part of a bigger research which has as a general objective the exploration of the association between the definitions of “poverty” and “crime” and the intervention strategies that emerge from that intersection, specifically in the articulation between two programs: “Vulnerable Communities” and “Community Employment”. Using a qualitative methodology, it will be argued that the implementation of such crime social prevention strategy, in its association with a welfare policy, would describe a trend characterized by the communitisation, from building a segmented territorialization, and the individualization, mainly in the preventive mechanisms proposed, of the strategy itself.

El Director de Ense anza Naval, tras una breve descripción de los diferentes niveles de ense anza y centros docentes con que cuenta actualmente la Armada, centra su artículo en un acertado análisis de los factores determinantes que han conducido a un proceso de reestructuración para racionalizar los medios disponibles y mejorar la calidad de la ense anza, finalizando su presentación con una síntesis sobre las principales líneas de actuación a corto y medio plazo, y la implantación progresiva de un ambicioso Plan de Innovación Tecnológica de la Ense anza en la Armada.

Abstract: The ${\bf f}(R)$ gravity field equations are derived as an equation of state of local space-time thermodynamics. Jacobson's arguments are non-trivially extended, by means of a more general definition of local entropy, for which Wald's definition of dynamic black hole entropy is used, as well as the concept of an effective Newton constant for graviton exchange, recently appeared in the literature.
The spatial distribution of stars in open clusters

Abstract: The analysis of the distribution of stars in open clusters may yield important information on the star formation process and early dynamical evolution of stellar clusters. Here we address this issue by systematically characterizing the internal spatial structure of 16 open clusters in the Milky Way spanning a wide range of ages. Cluster stars have been selected from a membership probability analysis based on a non-parametric method that uses both positions and proper motions and does not make any a priori assumption on the underlying distributions. The internal structure is then characterized by means of the minimum spanning tree method (Q parameter), King profile fitting, and the correlation dimension (Dc) for those clusters with fractal patterns. On average, clusters with fractal-like structure are younger than those exhibiting radial star density profiles and an apparent trend between Q and age is observed in agreement with previous ideas about the dynamical evolution of the internal spatial structure of stellar clusters. However, some new results are obtained from a more detailed analysis: (a) a clear correlation between Q and the concentration parameter of the King model for those cluster with radial density profiles, (b) the presence of spatial substructure in clusters as old as 100 Myr, and (c) a significant correlation between fractal dimension and age for those clusters with internal substructure. Moreover, the lowest fractal dimensions seem to be considerably smaller than the average value measured in galactic molecular cloud complexes.
On Asymptotic Darkness in Ho?ava-Lifshitz Gravity

Abstract: Ho\v{r}ava-Lifshitz gravity is shown to exhibit a peculiar behavior, when scattering amplitudes are considered. At low energies it seems to classicalize i.e. the effective size of the interaction grows as a function of the $s$-parameter, with BHs forming part of the spectrum; but when the probing energy is increased such that higher order operators become important, this behavior changes and the classicalon recedes to a new configuration where ordinary quantum regimes take over. Eventually, the theory behaves as a usual field theory that allows probing arbitrarily small distances. In particular, the classical potential created by a point-like source is finite everywhere exhibiting a Vainshtein alike screening behavior. The transition from one behavior to the other is carefully described in a particular case.
Energetics of intrinsic point defects in ZrSiO$_4$

Abstract: Using first principles calculations we have studied the formation energies, electron and hole affinities, and electronic levels of intrinsic point defects in zircon. The atomic structures of charged interstitials, vacancies, Frenkel pairs and anti-site defects are obtained. The limit of high concentration of point defects, relevant for the use of this material in nuclear waste immobilization, was studied with a variable lattice relaxation that can simulate the swelling induced by radiation damage. The limit of low concentration of defects is simulated with larger cells and fixed lattice parameters. Using known band offset values at the interface of zircon with silicon, we analyze the foreseeable effect of the defects on the electronic properties of zircon used as gate in metal-oxide-semiconductor devices.
First-principles study of structural, elastic, and bonding properties of pyrochlores

Abstract: Density Functional Theory calculations have been performed to obtain lattice parameters, elastic constants, and electronic properties of ideal pyrochlores with the composition A$_2$B$_2$O$_7$ (where A=La,Y and B=Ti,Sn,Hf, Zr). Some thermal properties are also inferred from the elastic properties. A decrease of the sound velocity (and thus, of the Debye temperature) with the atomic mass of the B ion is observed. Static and dynamical atomic charges are obtained to quantify the degree of covalency/ionicity. A large anomalous contribution to the dynamical charge is observed for Hf, Zr, and specially for Ti. It is attributed to the hybridization between occupied $2p$ states of oxygen and unoccupied d states of the B cation. The analysis based on Mulliken population and deformation charge integrated in the Voronoi polyhedra indicates that the ionicity of these pyrochlores increases in the order Sn--Ti--Hf--Zr. The charge deformation contour plots support this assignment.
Metallic Surface Reconstruction Driven by Frustrated Antiferromagnetism

Abstract: A magnetic origin for the honeycomb reconstruction of metallic surfaces with three-fold symmetry like Pb/Ge (111) is proposed. Assuming that the groundstate is an antiferromagnetic insulator over the triangular lattice of adatom sites (Pb), we demonstrate that the former is simultaneously unstable to canting and to a structural distortion if the surface is soft enough. We therefore predict a net magnetization over the reconstructed surface at sufficiently low temperature.
