Oliveira, Elda de;Rolim, Marli Alves;
Revista da Escola de Enfermagem da USP , 2003, DOI: 10.1590/S0080-62342003000300012
Abstract: this study addresses the importance of promoting physical activities among psychiatric patients and its goals were to identify the changing behavior potential of the nurses as well as to identify the nurse staff beliefs regarding the benefits of physical activity with the patients, to characterize the way in which these activities are managed inside the psychiatric hospital and finally, to identify the factors which influence the promotion of these activities in the mentioned environment. the fourteen nurses interviewed believe in the benefits of physical exercise, but only nine of them do training. based on the matsudo questionnaire (8), we have noticed that 50% of them are in the action stage, 42.9% are in contemplative stage and only 7.1% are in the pre-contemplative stage.
Legal accountability for public school discipline: fact or fiction?
Elda de Waal
South African Journal of Education , 2011,
Abstract: Educators, learners and parents/caregivers should be held accountable for instilling learner discipline through clear guidelines and limitations to achieve security at public schools. Two previously identified education challenges are sustaining well-disciplined education systems and ensuring that educators are attentive to legal parameters in making decisions and dealing with discipline. This article adds a third challenge: convincing educators, learners and parents/caregivers of their accountability concerning creating/maintaining safe learning environments. Five subordinate legislation documents relevant to legal accountability are scrutinized, as well as relevant case law. The article follows a documentary comparative perspective using a secondary analysis method: appraising legal guidelines and asking questions to draw conclusions and make pragmatic action-oriented suggestions.

Abstract: Esta é uma reflex o que visa orientar a Educa o Psicomotora sob o enfoque psicogenético de Henri Wallon. Dentre as contribui es destacamos as suas idéias de alternancia funcional e de complexidade do desenvolvimento humano. This paper presents a discussion on Psychomotor Education within Henri Wallon's psychogenetic perspective, mainly focusing his ideas about functional alternation and complexity of human development.
Compromisso governamental e or?amento participativo: estudo comparativo das experiências em Blumenau e Chapecó, Santa Catarina
Moura, Reidy Rolim de;
Revista Katálysis , 2007, DOI: 10.1590/S1414-49802007000200008
Abstract: this article addresses the need for government commitment to participatory budget (pb) experiences, based on a comparison of processes in two municipalities: blumenau and chapecó, santa catarina. the discussion about the construction of democratic public spaces in brazil is reviewed and the factor of government commitment is then emphasized. this is considered an important element to be observed in studying and applying the participative budget. the principal differences in the process of developing the pb in blumenau and chapecó, were analyzed, focusing on this variable and on the ways that political forces respect and attend the deliberations of this participatory process. the study principally used document and field research as well as semi-structured interviews. the results show that in chapecó there was greater government commitment to the pb, which made clear how this can improve the chances for success of this experience.

The Graeco-Roman harbor of Neapolis (Naples, Italy), chronologically constrained between the late 4th century BC and the 6th century AD, offers a unique sight on relationship between past and present into the history of the marine biodiversity. In fact, the digs expose fossil leaf of Posidonia oceanica with epiphytic communities of microorganisms. Posidonia oceanica is a seagrass endemic to theMediterraneanthat forms large meadows whose remains can persist in the sediment for thousands of years. In this communication, we report results of analyses carried out using both molecular and morphological techniques on sub-fossil leaves of P. oceanica and their associated epiphytic communities.

Concentra??o de macronutrientes em mudas de maracujazeiro-doce propagado por estacas em fun??o da calagem
Fonseca, Elda Bonilha Assis;Pasqual, Moacir;Carvalho, Janice Guedes de;
Ciência e Agrotecnologia , 2004, DOI: 10.1590/S1413-70542004000600007
Abstract: aiming to study the effect of the liming on the concentration of macronutrients in sweet passion fruit cuttings (passiflora alata curtis), until 150 days after germination, a experiment was carried out in the greenhouse the federal university of lavras. the statistical design used was randomized blocks in a factorial scheme (2 x 4) + 2, with four replications. the treatments were two soil classes (dystrophic red-yellow latosol - lvad and dystrophic red latosol - lvd), four base saturation levels (40, 60, 80 and 100%) and two more additional treatments, lvad without liming and lvd without liming. after 150 days, the dry matter of shoots and roots and the macronutrients contents in the shoots dry matter were evaluated. it was concluded that the increase of base saturation levels increase the contents of p, mg and s in the shoots dry matter of passion fruit cuttings, for both soil classes. the contents of ca and k in shoots dry matter of passion fruits growing in lvd, increase and decrease respectively, and no response in the lvad.

Abstract: the stuty shows the selection of some strategy to be used for the graduation courses in nursing to arouse in the students more interest in the collective healthy area. the study is about a case study, that took place in a private graduation course in the southern of brazil, which was noticed the systematised option form the students to the hospital area when the choice of trainee fields to the development from the essay when they accomplish the graduation course. it was used a method from situation strategic planning (pes) like a tool to enlarge the analysis of the problem and reach the aim proposed. as a result, the method showed to be efficient in allowing a revaluation of the teaching strategy from the couse to reach the profile expected.
Shear bond strength of glass-ionomer cements to dentin: Effects of dentin depth and type of material activation
PISANESCHI, Elda;CARVALHO, Rubens Corte Real de;MATSON, Edmir;
Revista de Odontologia da Universidade de S?o Paulo , 1997, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-06631997000500002
Abstract: the purpose of this study was to determine, through the shear bond strength of in vitro tests, that the type of glass-ionomer cements (conventional or hybrid) and dentin depth (superficial or deep) are factors that may influence the adhesion of these materials to the dentin structure. specimens of two conventional glass-ionomer cements (vidrion r? - ss white and chelon fil?- espe) and a hybrid-glass ionomer cement (vitremer? - 3m) were separated in groups and prepared for the shear bond strength test. the results submitted to statistical analysis were (all values are in mpa): group i - vidrion r - superficial dentin 1.97 (± 0.56); deep dentin 3.15 (± 1.51); group ii - chelon fil - superficial dentin 2.43 (± 1.43); deep dentin 3.21 (± 0.89); and group iii - vitremer - superficial dentin 7.04 (± 2.04); deep dentin 10.30 (± 1.99). there were significant differences between dentin depth and type of materials
