360 video streaming services over the network are becoming popular. In particular, it is easy to experience 360 video through the already popular smartphone. However, due to the nature of 360 video, it is difficult to provide stable streaming service in general network environment because the size of data to send is larger than that of conventional video. Also, the real user's viewing area is very small compared to the sending amount. In this paper, we propose a system that can provide high quality 360 video streaming services to the users more efficiently in the cloud. In particular, we propose a streaming system focused on using a head mount display (HMD).

In order to improve the user’s satisfaction with the augmented reality (AR) technology and the accuracy of the service, it is important to obtain the exact position of the user. Frequently used techniques for finding outdoors locations is the global positioning system (GPS), which is less accurate indoors. Therefore, an indoor position is measured by comparing the reception level about access point (AP) signal of wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) or using bluetooth low energy (BLE) tags. However, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth require additional hardware installation. In this paper, the proposed method of estimating the user’s position uses an indoor image and indoor coordinate map without additional hardware installation. The indoor image has several feature points extracted from fixed objects. By matching the feature points with the feature points of the user image, we can obtain the position of the user on the Indoor map by obtaining six or more pixel coordinates from the user image and solving the solution using the perspective projection formula. The experimental results show that the user position can be obtained more accurately in the indoor environment by using only the software without additional hardware installation.
Send-On-Delta Sensor Data Transmission With A Linear Predictor

Abstract: This paper is concerned with sensor data transmission strategy. The main focus of the paper is how to reduce the number of sensor data transmission while maintaining the dif- ference between the estimated sensor value and the real sensor value. The proposed method could be used in sensor networks and networked control systems, where number of transmis- sion should be minimal. A linear predictor is used to predict sensor values and sensor data are transmitted if the difference between the predicted sensor value and the real sensor value exceeds the specified limit. An analytic upper bound of the mean rate of messages is pro- vided. Through simulation, it is shown that the number of transmission could be significantly reduced compared with the periodic sampling and the conventional send-on-delta method.
Inertial and Magnetic Sensor Data Compression Considering the Estimation Error

Abstract: This paper presents a compression method for inertial and magnetic sensor data, where the compressed data are used to estimate some states. When sensor data are bounded, the proposed compression method guarantees that the compression error is smaller than a prescribed bound. The manner in which this error bound affects the bit rate and the estimation error is investigated. Through the simulation, it is shown that the estimation error is improved by 18.81% over a test set of 12 cases compared with a filter that does not use the compression error bound.
Real Hypersurfaces in Complex Hyperbolic Two-Plane Grassmannians with commuting Ricci tensor

Abstract: In this paper we first introduce the full expression of the curvature tensor of a real hypersurface $M$ in complex hyperbolic two-plane Grassmannians $SU_{2,m}/S(U_2{\cdot}U_m)$, $m{\ge}2$ from the equation of Gauss. Next we derive a new formula for the Ricci tensor of $M$ in $SU_{2,m}/S(U_2{\cdot}U_m)$. Finally we give a complete classification of Hopf hypersurfaces in complex hyperbolic two-plane Grassmannians $SU_{2,m}/S(U_2{\cdot}U_m)$ with commuting Ricci tensor. Each can be described as a tube over a totally geodesic $SU_{2,m-1}/S(U_2{\cdot}U_{m-1})$ in $SU_{2,m}/S(U_2{\cdot}U_m)$ or a horosphere whose center at infinity is singular.

Abstract: In this paper we give a characterization of real hypersurfaces in noncompact complex two-plane Grassmannian $SU_{2,m}/S(U_2 U_m)$, $m \geq 2$ with Reeb vector field $\xi$ belonging to the maximal quaternionic subbundle $\mathcal Q$. Then it becomes a tube over a totally real totally geodesic ${\mathbb H}H^n$, $m=2n$, in noncompact complex two-plane Grassmannian $SU_{2,m}/S(U_2 U_m)$, a horosphere whose center at the infinity is singular or another exceptional case.
Climate change and fluctuations of pelagic fish populations in the Far East region

Abstract: Time series of ocean climate indices and catch records were used to identify the alternation patterns of pelagic fish populationsin relation to climate regime shifts. During 1910-2008, an orderly alternation of dominant pelagic fish groups wasobserved in the Tsushima Warm Current (TWC; Yellow Sea-East China Sea-East Sea/Japan Sea) and Kuroshio-OyashioCurrent (KOC; Northwestern Pacific) regions. After the collapse of herring fishery in the late 1920s, the sardine (A group)dominated in the 1930s, 3 other species (C group; Pacific saury, jack mackerel, and anchovy) dominated in the 1950s-1960s, chub mackerel (B group) dominated in the 1970s, and then sardine (A group) dominated again during cool regimein the 1980s. As sardine biomass decreased in association with the climate regime shift that occurred in the late 1980s,catches of C group immediately increased after the regime shift and remained at high levels during warm regime in the1990s. Alternations of dominant fish groups occurred 6 times between 1910 and 2008. The dominant period of the 7 specieslasted for 10-20 years. The catch of Pacific sardine in the TWC and KOC regions showed a negative correlation withthe catch of the other 5 species (Pacific herring, anchovy, jack mackerel, Pacific saury, and common squid), suggestingthat the abundance of the 5 species is strongly affected by the abundance of Pacific sardine in relation to the climateregime shifts. The total catch level of the 7 species in the KOC region was generally higher than that in the TWC regionbefore 1991 but was lower after 1992, suggesting that the fish populations in the Pacific side are shifted to the TWC regionby zonal oscillation of the oceanic conditions in relation to the climate regime shift in the late 1980s.
Real hypersurfaces with isometric Reeb flow in complex quadrics

Abstract: We classify real hypersurfaces with isometric Reeb flow in the complex quadrics Q^m for m > 2. We show that m is even, say m = 2k, and any such hypersurface is an open part of a tube around a k-dimensional complex projective space CP^k which is embedded canonically in Q^{2k} as a totally geodesic complex submanifold. As a consequence we get the non-existence of real hypersurfaces with isometric Reeb flow in odd-dimensional complex quadrics.
Contact hypersurfaces in Kaehler manifolds

Abstract: A contact hypersurface in a Kaehler manifold is a real hypersurface for which the induced almost contact metric structure determines a contact structure. We carry out a systematic study of contact hypersurfaces in Kaehler manifolds. We then apply these general results to obtain classifications of contact hypersurfaces with constant mean curvature in the complex quadric SO(n+2)/SO(n)SO(2) and its noncompact dual space SO(n,2)/SO(n)SO(2) for n > 2.
Hypersurfaces in the noncompact Grassmann manifold SU_{2,m}/S(U_2U_m)

Abstract: The Riemannian symmetric space SU_{2,m}/S(U_2U_m) is both Hermitian symmetric and quaternionic Kahler symmetric. Let M be a hypersurface in SU_{2,m}/S(U_2U_m) and denote by TM its tangent bundle. The complex structure of SU_{2,m}/S(U_2U_m) determines a maximal complex subbundle C of TM, and the quaternionic structure of SU_{2,m}/S(U_2U_m) determines a maximal quaternionic subbundle Q of TM. In this article we investigate hypersurfaces in SU_{2,m}/S(U_2U_m) for which C and Q are closely related to the shape of M.
