Abstract:

Theconstruction of an integrative shuttle expression vector and potential utility was reported inEscherichiacoliandAnabaena(Nostoc) sp. strain PCC 7120. The vector comprised of the following elements: (a) an intergenic non-coding region fromAnabaenato facilitate its genomic integration (b) a strong functional PpsbAIpromoter fromAnabaenafor desired gene expression and (c) neomycin phosphotransferase gene with its own promoter for the selection of transfor-mants. The constructed vectorpAnFP was evaluated by cloning, transfer and expression of thegfpgene encoding green fluorescent protein. When theE.coliandAnabaenasp. strain PCC 7120 were transformed, intensive green fluorescence produced by the products of GFP protein was observed. This result indicated that the integrative shuttle vector pAnFP can be promisingly used in genome transformation for expression of heterologous genes inE.coliand microalgae such asAnabaenaandNostocstrains.

Abstract:

Multichannel synthetic aperture radar (SAR) in azimuth can resolve the contradiction between high resolution and wide swath faced with traditional SAR imaging. However, channel errors will degrade the performance of imaging. This paper compares the performances of four channel error estimation algorithms under different clutter distributions and SNR conditions. Further, explanations are given for performance differences of the four algorithms, which provide evidence for method selection in engineering applications.

Abstract: In this paper, a new blanket jamming approach to Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is proposed, and its effect to SAR image is analyzed. This method is compared with classical noise jamming technique by means of SJR (Signal to Jamming Ratio) gain and jamming power gain of SAR system. In addition, the simulation results are given.

Abstract: The formulation of Doppler parameters (Doppler centroid and Doppler frequency rate) from the geometry of satellite-borne SAR is derived. After analysing the error sensitivity of SAR orbit and attitude parameters, the error allocation principle for satellite attitude parameters is presented. Finally, the feasibility to calculate the satellite attitude from the Doppler centroid extracted from SAR raw data is proved.

Abstract: We elaborate on an alternative representation of conditional probability to the usual tree diagram. We term the representation “turtleback diagram” for its resemblance to the pattern on turtle shells. Adopting the set theoretic view of events and the sample space, the turtleback diagram uses elements from Venn diagrams—set intersection, complement and partition—for conditioning, with the additional notion that the area of a set indicates probability whereas the ratio of areas for conditional probability. Once parts of the diagram are drawn and properly labeled, the calculation of conditional probability involves only simple arithmetic on the area of relevant sets. We discuss turtleback diagrams in relation to other visual representations of conditional probability, and detail several scenarios in which turtleback diagrams prove useful. By the equivalence of recursive space partition and the tree, the turtleback diagram is seen to be equally expressive as the tree diagram for abstract concepts. We also provide empirical data on the use of turtleback diagrams with undergraduate students in elementary statistics or probability courses.

Abstract: This paper improves the model of Chirp Scaling (CS) SAR imaging algorithm. Based on the theoretical analysis, the exact formulation of point target in two-dimensional frequency domain and the phase error are obtained. Abstract: Subjects with T2DM with or without proved large arteries atherosclerosis and normal controls (n=15 for each group) were recruited in the present study. HDL was isolated from the subjects by ultracentrifugation. The levels of HDL-associated S1P were determined by UPLC-MS/MS. The protective function of diabetic HDL and S1P was evaluated by measuring cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) expression and prostacyclin I-2 (PGI-2) release by human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) using western blot and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), respectively.The S1P levels in isolated HDL were significantly increased in T2DM subjects compared with controls (235.6 +/- 13.4 vs 195.0 +/- 6.4 ng/mg, P< 0.05). The diabetic HDL exerted greater protective effects on inducing COX-2 expression and PGI-2 release by HUVECs than those of control HDL (p < 0.05, p < 0.01, respectively). Pertussis toxin, a common inhibitor of G-couple protein receptors, and VPC 23019, an antagonist of S1P receptor 1 and 3 significantly attenuated HDL-induced COX-2 expression and PGI-2 release.Diabetic HDL carries higher level of S1P compared with normal HDL, which has the potential to contribute to protective effects on endothelial cells by inducing COX-2 expression and PGI-2 release. These findings provide a new insight of S1P function in T2DM patients, possibly leading to a new therapeutic target.

Abstract: 随着工程优化中仿真模型精度和计算时间的不断提高,常规的智能优化方法难以在可接受的计算代价中得到最优解。序列近似优化方法通过将近似模型技术引入优化过程,并采用不断更新采样点的方法来指导寻优,在基于计算耗时模型的优化中得到了越来越广泛的应用。通过论述序列近似优化方法的若干关键技术及其发展现状,可有效指导其在工程优化中的应用,并给出了序列近似优化方法可能的改进方法及发展趋势。
As more and more high precise time-consuming models are revealed into optimization procedure, general intelligence optimization algorithm cannot get a desirable result in feasible computing cost. The developing sequential approximate optimization approach is aimed to overcome this drawback by introducing the approximate model in the optimization procedure, which adds infill points sequentially to search the promising areas, has made it more and more practical technique for time-consuming engineering optimization. An overview of the sequential approximate optimization algorithm and its core techniques were given, which can expend the application of the algorithm. Finally, some relevant improved methods and new developmental trends concerning SAO(sequential approximate optimization) were presented.
