Abstract: Esta pesquisa teve o objetivo de avaliar a qualidade da descri o dos procedimentos metodológicos de artigos que utilizaram a modelagem em equa es estruturais (MEE), incluindo a análise fatorial confirmatória e a path analysis, e que foram publicados na RAE, RAUSP, REAd, O&S, RAC e RAE-eletr nica entre 2001 e 2010. A partir da revis o da literatura metodológica, foi elaborado um check list para avaliar as treze etapas da MEE, sendo validado com 33 especialistas. Os principais resultados da análise de 68 artigos encontrados foram: a impossibilidade de replicar os estudos devido à falta de informa es e o uso de estratégias exploratórias sem a posterior valida o. Por outro lado, a justificativa do método utilizado e a explica o das implica es teóricas dos resultados s o aspectos que têm sido atendidos plenamente. O check list foi um importante subproduto desta pesquisa, pois, a partir dele, s o propostas novas linhas de investiga o e até mesmo seu uso como ferramenta didática.The Quality of Methodological Procedures Report in National Journals in the Business Administration Field: the case of structural equation modeling in national journals between 2001 and 2010 ----- ABSTRACT ----- This research aimed to evaluate the quality of the description of the methodological procedures of articles that employed structural equation modeling (SEM), including confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis, which were published in RAE, RAUSP, Read, O&S, RAC and RAE-eletr nica journals between 2001 and 2010. On the other hand, justifying SEM use and the explanation of theoretical implications of research findings are aspects that were fully met by the papers. The checklist itself is an important byproduct of this research, given that new lines of research regarding the application of SEM methodology are derived from it and it can also be used as a teaching tool in research methodology courses.

Abstract: Background: Respiratory tract infections were associated with acute exacerbations of heart failure (HF). However, the role of the influenza virus, a major agent of such infections, in this population remained unclear. Method: During the influenza virus seasons of 2013 and 2014 we prospectively assessed influenza respiratory illnesses in a cohort of adults primarily hospitalized for management of acute decompensated HF and a cohort of HF outpatients. Qualitative RT-PCR forinfluenzaA (A/H1, A/H12009pdm, A/H3) and B virus testing was performed on nasopharyngeal swab samples. Result: A total of 121 patients were included, 58.3% males (n= 70), mean age 57.7 years old (±14.0), mean left ejection fraction 35.3 (±9.8). Of these, 50.4% were inpatients (n= 61). The prevalence of symptoms of respiratory infections was 28.0% (n= 34) and 4.9% (n= 6) of all samples were positive for influenza virus. Abstract: we report here an analysis of a physical teaching activity for blind students, within a research carried out on this subject. its structure is based on seeking solutions for a unstructured problem (possible collision between a car and a train). its development consists on two moments: first the students listened to a record of a car and a train in movement; then the students described their observation, showing different interpretations for the same situation and suggested solutions for the problem. we intend that the results presented in this paper can contribute to help physics teaching for blind students.

Abstract: the purpose of this paper is to present the emergence of a conception of environmental education (ee) associated with the movement of sustainable development and a proposal for education for sustainable development (esd) in view of its application in business administration, for as will be shown in its design gave particular attention to the professionals whose activities and decisions have significant repercussions on the environment, such as administrators, economists, engineers, architects, product developers, policy makers, among others. it will present the main intergovernmental events that gave rise to this conception of ee, the main guidelines and recommendations applied to these professionals and a proposal for eds and its relationship with ee. afterward, it will present a discussion about ee and esd, because there are diametrically opposed understandings about these two conceptions of education. distinct aspects of the concept of sustainable development and the controversial issues that generate doubts and objections about it will also be presented, in order to clarify myths and avoid naive conceptions. it will address issues related to economic growth, one of the main questions concerning the concept of sustainable development. this article discusses the concepts and recommendations contained in intergovernmental documents, especially those created by agencies of un, that established milestones for the debate and introduced elements that initiated global ee actions. finally, it presents some of the main voluntary initiatives for the integration of higher education institutions, just as talloires declaration, in the movement of sustainable development, to implement the ee and esd.

Abstract: O objetivo geral deste artigo é a apresenta o do surgimento de uma concep o de educa o ambiental (EA) associada ao movimento do desenvolvimento sustentável e uma proposta de educa o para o desenvolvimento sustentável (EDS), tendo em vista sua aplica o em cursos de Administra o de Empresas, pois, como será mostrado, na concep o dessa EA, deu-se especial aten o aos profissionais cujas atividades e decis es geram repercuss es significativas sobre o meio ambiente, como administradores, economistas, engenheiros, arquitetos, desenvolvedores de produtos, formuladores de políticas públicas, entre outros. Ser o apresentados os principais eventos intergovernamentais que deram surgimento a essa concep o de EA, as principais diretrizes e recomenda es aplicadas a esses profissionais e uma proposta de EDS e sua rela o com a EA. Depois, será apresentado um debate sobre a EA e a EDS, pois há entendimentos diametralmente opostos sobre essas duas concep es de educa o. Ser o apresentados diferentes entendimentos do conceito de desenvolvimento sustentável e as quest es polêmicas que geram dúvidas e obje es sobre ele, na perspectiva de dirimir mitos e concep es ingênuas. Também ser o abordadas as quest es relativas ao crescimento econ mico e sua rela o com o desenvolvimento, uma das principais quest es polêmicas em torno do conceito de desenvolvimento sustentável. O artigo discute conceitos e recomenda es constantes nos documentos intergovernamentais, sobretudo os produzidos pelas agências da ONU, que criaram marcos para o debate e introduziram elementos para que se desencadeassem a es mundiais de EA. Por fim, apresentam-se algumas das principais iniciativas voluntárias para a inser o das institui es de ensino superior no movimento do desenvolvimento sustentável, tal como a Declara o de Talloires, para implantar a EA e a EDS.

Abstract: RESUMO Este estudo tem por objetivo investigar como foi a certifica o ISO 9000 no Departamento de Oficinas da Companhia do Metropolitano de S o Paulo – Metr , no processo do Material Rodante, enfocando a avalia o do processo vivenciado pelos participantes diretos. A pesquisa foi realizada entre os funcionários do Departamento para estudar as impress es do grupo sobre a certifica o e seus resultados. A análise dos dados permitiu verificar a percep o dos funcionários sobre a implanta o e identificar mudan as ocorridas, principalmente no que tange à documenta o, organiza o e procedimentos de manuten o. Com este trabalho pretende-se contribuir para os interessados na certifica o nas normas ISO 9000 e seus efeitos nas empresas, especialmente nas de economia mista, como a que foi objeto deste estudo. ABSTRACT This study aims to investigate how was the ISO 9002 certification process in the Repair Department of the Companhia do Metropolitano de S o Paulo – Metr , in the Wheeling Material process, focusing the evaluation of the process lived by the direct participants. The survey has been performed among the Department employees’ in order to study the group’s impression on the certification and its results. The data analysis allowed verifying the employees’ perception on the process and identifying the changes with the certification mainly with reference to documentation, organization and maintenance procedures. With this work we intend to contribute for further studies on certification in accordance with ISO 9000 requirements and its effects on the organizations, specially the ones with mixed economy, like this that was the subject of this research. RESUMEN Este estudio tiene por finalidad investigar como fue la certificación ISO 9000 en el Departamento de Talleres de la Compa ía del Metropolitano de S o Paulo – Metro, en el proceso del Material Rodante, enfocando la evaluación del proceso vivido por los participantes directos. La investigación se realizó entre los empleados del Departamento para estudiar las impresiones del grupo sobre la certificación y sus resultados. El análisis de los datos permitió verificar la percepción de los empleados sobre la implementación e identificar los cambios ocurridos, principalmente en lo que se refiere a la documentación, organización y procedimientos de mantenimiento. Con este trabajo se pretende cooperar con los interesados en la certificación en las normas ISO 9000 y sus efectos en las empresas, especialmente en las de economía mixta, como la que fue objeto de este estudio.
