Creative Education (CE) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/ce.2016.75079
Abstract: The objective of this study was to compare the impact of flipped mode and traditional mode of instruction, on the learning outcomes of Grade VIII school children in History and Science; 90 primary school children from Odisha (India) were randomly assigned to either of control (traditional instruction) or experimental (flipped instruction) group. Pre-test scores of both the groups were compared through “t” test; the obtained “t” values of -0.019 and 1.931 were found to be insignificant (p > 0.05) which revealed no significant difference between these groups at the beginning. Thus, both the groups were assumed to have equal variance and after 01 month their post-test scores in History and Science were again compared to examine the impact of different instructional intervention/s. The obtained “t” values of both the groups’ post-test scores comparisons were -5.592, -3.260, found to be significant at p < 0.01 level, and confirmed the difference between control and experimental groups. Mean scores of flipped and traditional instructional groups further strengthened the positive impact of flipped mode of instruction on children’s learning outcomes in History and Science. The study recommends for future work on flipped instruction with larger sample for educational implications.

Abstract: We have studied the formation of Hall-qubit in lowest Landau level of (LLL) Quantum Hall effect due to the Aharonov-Bhom oscillation of quasiparticles. The spin echo method plays the key role in the topological entanglement of qubits. The proper ratio of fluxes for maximally entangling qubits has also been pointed out. The generation of higher Quantum Hall state may be possible with the help of quantum teleportation.

Abstract: Ferrocyanides of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) were synthesized and characterized by IR spectra, magnetic susceptibility, thermal gravimetric analysis, elemental analysis and X ray diffraction studies. Antimicrobial potential of these complexes have been evaluated. Antifungal screening of these complexes has been carried out against Mycogone perniciosa and Verticillium fungicola causing wet and dry bubble diseases of button mushroom respectively. Nickel ferrocyanide has been found to be most effective against Mycogone perniciosa with 60% inhibitory effect while cadmium ferrocyanide has exhibited significant potential of 85% against Verticillium fungicola.

Abstract: The ethanolic extract of whole part of Moringa oleifera plant in Eddy’s Hot plate method shows markedly increase in the pain threshold of mice. The three different Extract Curative doses of 100 mg/kg, 200 mg/kg and 400 mg/kg were compared with standard drug i.e. Aspirin. The increased pain threshold of mice by curative treatment using alcohol extract was significant. Moringa oleifera is a deciduous tree of immense medicinal properties. Whole plant specially root, bark, leaves and fruits contain many important phytoconstituents. Literature survey revealed that plant contains flavonoids, glycosides, vitamins, and important inorganic metals that’s why used as an important medicine traditionally in many ailments. This laid the basis for selection of whole plant for the anti-inflammatory activity.
Classification of EEG Signals under Different Mental Tasks Using Wavelet Transform and Neural Network with One Step Secant Algorithm

International Journal of Scientific Engineering and Technology , 2013,
Abstract: The ability to effectively classify electroencephalograms (EEG) is the foundation for building usable Brain-Computer Interfaces. In this presented work EEG signals were used to extract the information and classify with different mental task. EEG data was collected from a source[1]. This data contains recording of 5 subjects in different mental task conditions (Resting, math, letter composition, geometric figure rotation task). EEG Signals were pre-processed and filtered. EOG artifacts were removed by visual inspection. For classification of these mental tasks wavelet was used to extract the features. Second order Daubechies mother wavelet has been used to get the wavelet coefficients for the selected EEG epochs. Mean, maximum, minimum and standard deviations values of wavelet coefficients for the EEG epochs were selected as inputs for the training the network and to classify mental tasks. The ANN architecture trained with one step secant method used in present study shows overall very good results of classification. This architecture of ANN was also found effectively differentiating the EEG from different mental tasks conditions Resting (98%) multiplication (92%), Letter composition (92%) and rotation (96%).

Abstract: In Quantum Hall effect the ground state wave function at $\nu=1$ is the building block of all other states at different filling factors. It is developed by the entanglement of two spinors forming a singlet state. The inherent frustration visualized by the non-abelian matrix Berry phase is responsible for the quantum pumped charge to flow in the Hall surface. The Physics behind the Quantum Hall states is studied here from the view point of topological quantum computation.
The Berry phase in frustrated spin glass
Dipti Banerjee
Physics , 2008,
Abstract: In this letter we have pointed out that frustration in spin glass is realized through the Berry phase due to the conflict between the spin ordering in the course of parallel transport of spinor. We have came to the point that the Berry phase depicting the chiral change of helicity of a quantized spinor is prominent only in the presence of frustration.
The spinorial representation of polarized light and Berry phase

Physics , 2011,
Abstract: From relativistic point of view it has been shown here that a polarized photon can be visualized to give an equivalent spinorial description when the two-component spinor is the eigenvector of $2\times2$ Hermitian, Polarization matrix. The Berry phase of the initial state can be calculated by matrix method as it complete one rotation over a closed path on the Poincare's sphere.
