Formación universitaria , 2009, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-50062009000200006
Abstract: the goal of this work is to describe the situation of quality and environmental management systems situation in higher education institutions in mexico and to analyze the integration of quality and environmental management. for this, a database with all higher education institutions in mexico that deals with iso 9001 and iso 14001, was done. a total of 322 and 3 certificates respectively in 2008 were found. it is proposed an integrated group of procedures applicable at higher education institutes which have or will have a quality management system and that are looking for a practical environmental management system. it is concluded that an integration of environmental management system to a quality management system is feasible.

Información tecnológica , 2012, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-07642012000200017
Abstract: the application of a bayesian methodology for simultaneous optimization of multiple responses is presented. a previous proposal is modified by introducing a modification that makes it more flexible, allowing working with the case in which not all the variables considered in the study are equally important. to incorporate in the methodology these differences related to the analyzed response variables the weighted geometric mean of the probabilities that each variable meets its own specification is used. with this change, the multiple optimization variables are converted into only one. an example to show how the proposed modification helps in achieving different optimal scenarios to consider in making decisions is discussed.

Abstract: this paper deals with the application of six sigma methodology (dmaic) and taguchi methods to solve the problem of low resistance of the pulling test of a light emitting diode (led), which is used in the assembly of cellular telephones in a northwest mexican electronic company. after finishing this project a significant improvement was achieved that made possible to increase process capability from 0.56 to 1.45 and the impact in cost reduction only by the elimination of waste was of 130 thousand us dollars in savings per year. this achievement did not require additional investment, it was only necessary to control each of the most important factors in the process.

Información tecnológica , 2011, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-07642011000400010
Abstract: the robustness of the mahalanobis-taguchi system to different arrays that could be used to discriminate variables in a study, is evaluated.. for this, different levels of fractional factorial design 2 9 were used, as well as all possible fractions for each level to find out if the results varied depending on the array utilized. for this analysis the wisconsin′s breast cancer data reported in a publication were used, in which, an orthogonal array l12 was employed. in this work, the analysis was performed with 29- k designs (k = 0,1,2,3,4 and 5) and all the possible fractions for each value of k generated using the software minitab 15 and a matlab program was generated. the results showed that this method is not robust to the different arrays that could be used.

Abstract:

Background: This document includes recommendations and guidelines issued by a group of Mexican researchers and specialists gathered in the First National Colloquium for the Diagnosis and Management of Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia (CML) by initiative of Instituto Nacional de Cancerología and with the support of the Leukaemia Department of the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Mexico lacks of updated information taken from its own reality on the diagnosis and treatment of CML and other haematological disorders; besides, there are no national guidelines. Aim: To publish a consensus document with guidelines for the management of CML adjusted to the national environment and overall characteristics. Method: The participants answered a DELPHI questionnaire about the overall aspects of the disease, aiming to target controversial topics, discuss them in the colloquium, and to agree on the best ones. After those meetings, a final document was drawn up. Results: The group presents recommendations for definition, diagnosis, prognosis, monitoring, and treatment of CML in Mexico. Conclusions: Having consensus guidelines for the clinical management of CML in our country will enable the consensual practice of Mexican specialists regarding the clinical approach to CML, as well as optimize the resources which allow the rational planning of the medical care strategies.

Limón Aguirre, Fernando;
Alteridades , 2008,
Abstract: mayan-chuj people's citizenship. a negative dialectic of identities. the mayan-chuj people, with a numericalmqjority and culturally centered in guatemala, has been present in mexico since the current border was drawn. a century later and after living as refugees, some families of guatemalan origin decided to acquire mexican citizenship. the historical trajectory of this people -marked by identities ascribed in the logic of power- remains in their memories. discrimination and revindication account for a negative dialectic of identities; therefore, their experience makes us reframe the notion of citizenship.
Oceja Limón, Sandra;
Andamios , 2011,
Abstract: this article tackles fiction narratives of production sociologically speaking, on which the main theme are urban "guerrillas" from the 70's in the 20th century in mexico. their main purpose is to expose how these narratives jeopardize the muted logic imposed from the dominant speeches related to that period so they can be incorporated in today's present life like symbols which the result lays in historic gaps thus becoming on legible spaces, for they play, while on reading them, a call up roll of the social representations about urban "guerrillas". our propound comes that fiction literature is, layed under a particular thought escaping from politics and scientific reasoning, a power which embeds on the reader`s desire so as in space and historical time.
