Global Regularity for the Two-dimensional Boussinesq Equations Without Diffusivity in Bounded Domains

Abstract: We address the well-posedness for the two-dimensional Boussinesq equations with zero diffusivity in bounded domains. We prove global in time regularity for rough initial data: the initial velocity has $\epsilon$ fractional derivatives in $L^q$ for some $q>2$ and $\epsilon>0$ arbitrarily small, and the initial temperature is in $H^1$.
SipB-SipC Complex Is Essential for Translocon Formation

Abstract: The delivery of effector proteins by Salmonella across the host cell membrane requires a subset of effectors secreted by the type III secretion system (TTSS) known as translocators. SipC and SipB are translocator proteins that are inserted into host membranes and presumably form a channel that translocates type III effectors into the host cell. The molecular events of how these translocators insert into the host cell membrane remain unknown. We have previously shown that the SipC C-terminal amino acid region (321–409) is required for the translocation of effectors into host cells. In this study, we demonstrate that the ability to form SipC-SipB complex is essential for their insertion into the host membrane. The SipB-interacting domain of SipC is near its C-terminal amino acid region (340–409). In the absence of SipB, SipC was not detected in the membrane fraction. Furthermore, SipC mutants that no longer interact with SipB are defective in inserting into the host cell membrane. We propose a mechanism whereby SipC binds SipB through its C-terminal region to facilitate membrane-insertion and subsequent translocon formation in the host cell membrane.
Involvement of TIP60 acetyltransferase in intracellular Salmonella replication

Abstract: In an attempt to identify host proteins that interact with SseF, we conduct a yeast two-hybrid screening of human cell cDNA library using SseF as the bait. We identified that TIP60, an acetyltransferase, interacts with SseF. We showed that the TIP60 acetylation activity was increased in the presence of SseF, and TIP60 was upregulated upon Salmonella infection. In addition, TIP60 is required for efficient intracellular Salmonella replication in macrophages.Taken together, our data suggest that Salmonella may use SseF to exploit the host TIP60 acetyltransferase activity to promote efficient Salmonella replication inside host cells.Protein acetylation adds the acetyl group on either the amino-terminal residues or on the epsilon-amino group of lysine residues. Lysine acetylation affects many protein functions, including DNA binding, protein-protein interactions, and protein stability. TIP60 catalyzes histone acetylation [1,2]. It was originally identified as a cellular acetyltransferase protein that interacts with HIV-1 Tat [3]. Over-expression of TIP60 increased Tat transactivation of the HIV-1 promoter [3]. Recent studies found that TIP60 has diverse functions involved in transcription, cellular signaling, DNA damage repair, cell cycle checkpoint control and apoptosis [2,4,5].Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium (S. typhimurium) causes gastrointestinal diseases in humans and typhoid-like fever in the mouse. S. typhimurium encodes two Type III secretion systems within the Salmonella pathogenicity islands 1 and 2 (SPI-1 and SPI-2) that are required for Salmonella entry and subsequent survival inside the host cells, respectively [6-10]. The EHEC Type III Effector NleL Is an E3 Ubiquitin Ligase That Modulates Pedestal Formation

Abstract: Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli (EHEC) O157:H7 causes hemorrhagic colitis and may result in potentially fatal hemolytic uremia syndrome in humans. EHEC colonize the intestinal mucosa and promote the formation of actin-rich pedestals via translocated type III effectors. Two EHEC type III secreted effectors, Tir and EspFu/TccP, are key players for pedestal formation. We discovered that an EHEC effector protein called Non-LEE-encoded Ligase (NleL) is an E3 ubiquitin ligase. In vitro, we showed that the NleL C753 residue is critical for its E3 ligase activity. Functionally, we demonstrated that NleL E3 ubiquitin ligase activity is involved in modulating Tir-mediated pedestal formation. Surprisingly, EHEC mutant strain deficient in the E3 ligase activity induced more pedestals than the wild-type strain. The canonical EPEC strain E2348/69 normally lacks the nleL gene, and the ectopic expression of the wild-type EHEC nleL, but not the catalytically-deficient nleL(C753A) mutant, in this strain resulted in fewer actin-rich pedestals. Furthermore, we showed that the C. rodentium NleL homolog is a E3 ubiquitin ligase and is required for efficient infection of murine colonic epithelial cells in vivo. In summary, our study demonstrated that EHEC utilizes NleL E3 ubiquitin ligase activity to modulate Tir-mediated pedestal formation.

Abstract: By means of the suggested combined photo-carrier method, an isochromatic carrier fringe pattern and a combined isopachic-isochromatic carrier pattern can be obtained simultaneously. Then, the isopachic carrier fringes are extracted from the combined carrierfringe pattern by spatially filtering technique. From the two separate carrier fringe patterns, the automatic image processing may finally complete the separation of principal stresses. By applying the method to the dynamic holographic photoelasticity, the dynamic principal stresses can also be separated. A simple and practical technique for making a large size birefringent carrier plate is described.

Finally, some countermeasures and suggestions are proposed for promoting the sustainable development of biogas project inBeijing, such as strengthening technical innovation and setting standards, innovating development patterns and planning reasonable layout, improve the maintenance mechanism and intensify policy support.

Abstract: Traditional ECG acquisition system lacks for flexibility. To improve the flexibility of ECG acquisition system and the signal-to-noise ratio of ECG, a new ECG acquisition system was designed based on DAQ card and Labview and oversampling was implemented in Labview. And analog signal conditioning circuit was improved on. The result indicated that the system could detect ECG signal accurately with high signal-to-noise ratio and the signal processing methods could be adjusted easily. So the new system can satisfy many kinds of ECG acquisition. It is a flexible experiment platform for exploring new ECG acquisition methods.
