Journal of Cancer Therapy (JCT) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/jct.2013.43092
Abstract:

Background: This document includes recommendations and guidelines issued by a group of Mexican researchers and specialists gathered in the First National Colloquium for the Diagnosis and Management of Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia (CML) by initiative of Instituto Nacional de Cancerología and with the support of the Leukaemia Department of the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Mexico lacks of updated information taken from its own reality on the diagnosis and treatment of CML and other haematological disorders; besides, there are no national guidelines. Aim: To publish a consensus document with guidelines for the management of CML adjusted to the national environment and overall characteristics. Method: The participants answered a DELPHI questionnaire about the overall aspects of the disease, aiming to target controversial topics, discuss them in the colloquium, and to agree on the best ones. After those meetings, a final document was drawn up. Results: The group presents recommendations for definition, diagnosis, prognosis, monitoring, and treatment of CML in Mexico. Conclusions: Having consensus guidelines for the clinical management of CML in our country will enable the consensual practice of Mexican specialists regarding the clinical approach to CML, as well as optimize the resources which allow the rational planning of the medical care strategies.

Dominios y recursos de la imagen: Iconografía cerámica del valle de Ambato
Gordillo,Inés;
Estudios atacame?os , 2009, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-10432009000100007
Abstract: this paper confronts the iconography of la rinconada ceramics (ambato, catamarca) with other relevant regional information, to propose a general stylistic review where figurative representations are examined in the light of the different ways to, both, approach the subject, and its analytic categories, allowing thus to read across different dimensions of image production and use. we approach the different modes of representation and interpretation afforded by the motifs or represented models in the context of their discovery and within their particular architectural space. finally, we discuss the reach of our results and outline the images'main themes and central topics.
Análisis tafonómico de quitones (Polyplacophora: Mollusca) holocenos de Tierra del Fuego, Argentina
Gordillo,Sandra;
Ameghiniana , 2007,
Abstract: chitons from the marine holocene of tierra del fuego represent a minor fraction of the mollusc assemblages, mostly composed of bivalves and gastropods. the reasons of their limited relative abundance are considered in this work. the analysis of their taphonomic and paleontologic attributes indicates that the taphonomic condition on a chiton plate is the result of a combination of biological, ecological and environmental factors. it is concluded that chitons are good paleoecological and paleoenvironmental indicators, since they maintain ecological fidelity with respect to their original paleocommunities and they are suitable to evaluate the post-mortem events that took place up to they are found within the fossil record.
QUATERNARY MARINE MOLLUSKS IN TIERRA DEL FUEGO: INSIGHTS FROM INTEGRATED TAPHONOMIC AND PALEOECOLOGIC ANALYSIS OF SHELL ASSEMBLAGES IN RAISED DEPOSITS
Gordillo,Sandra;
Anales del Instituto de la Patagonia , 2009, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-686X2009000200001
Abstract: during the quaternary the southern tip of south america was affected by several glaciations which might have excluded much of the benthic marine fauna inhabiting this region, with the consequent in-terruption of the connection between the atlantic and the pacific oceans. in that context, fossil marine mollusks recovered from interglacial (pleistocene) and postglacial (holocene) quaternary deposits of tierra del fuego, provide a key for the reconstruction of paleocommunities and the evaluation of changes in faunal composition over time. paleontological database was compiled from previous works, showing a diverse fauna, which includes 91 different species (61.5% gastropods; 31.9% bivalves and 6.6% chitons). quaternary time-averaged mollusk assemblages from tierra del fuego give a very good picture of the overall coastal benthic biodiversity patterns in the region. the composition of mollusk species showed remarkable similarities with present- day fauna, which reinforces the hypothesis that climatic conditions have maintained without significant changes since at least the middle pleistocene. however, taphonomic and paleoecological analysis of shell assemblages shows the existence of different shallow benthic com-munities, which represent spatial and temporal variations among regions and sites.
La autorrepresentación del andaluz en web-series
Gordillo,Inmaculada;
Palabra Clave , 2012,
Abstract: this article is the result of a study on self-representation of the image ofandalusia and the andalusian people based on fictional production shown via the internet. the andalusian audiovisual scene has changed dramatically in the last two decades and the people of andalusia are beginning to tell their own stories. consequently, it is important to determine if the traditional stereotypes consolidated for centuries in literature and film are still being portrayed. with that objective in mind, the study uses a qualitative method that features a textual analysis based on the configuration of a series of variables representative of the stereotyped image of the andalusian people.

This paper confronts the iconography of La Rinconada ceramics (Ambato, Catamarca) with other relevant regional information, to propose a general stylistic review where figurative representations are examined in the light of the different ways to, both, approach the subject, and its analytic categories, allowing thus to read across different dimensions of image production and use. We approach the different modes of representation and interpretation afforded by the motifs or represented models in the context of their discovery and within their particular architectural space. Finally, we discuss the reach of our results and outline the images'main themes and central topics.
Strategy for Data Stream Processing Based on Measurement Metadata: An Outpatient Monitoring Scenario  [PDF]

Journal of Software Engineering and Applications (JSEA) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/jsea.2011.412077
Abstract: In this work we discuss SDSPbMM, an integrated Strategy for Data Stream Processing based on Measurement Metadata, applied to an outpatient monitoring scenario. The measures associated to the attributes of the patient (entity) under monitoring, come from heterogeneous data sources as data streams, together with metadata associated with the formal definition of a measurement and evaluation project. Such metadata supports the patient analysis and monitoring in a more consistent way, facilitating for instance: i) The early detection of problems typical of data such as missing values, outliers, among others; and ii) The risk anticipation by means of on-line classification models adapted to the patient. We also performed a simulation using a prototype developed for outpatient monitoring, in order to analyze empirically processing times and variable scalability, which shed light on the feasibility of applying the prototype to real situations. In addition, we analyze statistically the results of the simulation, in order to detect the components which incorporate more variability to the system.
