Abstract: Using the linear approximation, we have studied the time evolution of intensity correlation function C(t) in a single-mode laser driven by both the colored pump noise with signal modulation and the quantum noise with cross-correlation between its real and imaginary parts. In the case of the pump noise self-correlation time, we find that the time evolution of C(t) varies with modulation signal frequency Ω, amplitude B, and net gain ɑ0. (i) As the Ω increases, the time evolution of C(t) experiences a process changing from the monotonous descension to the descension with a flat appearing initially, and finally to the a form of damping oscillation; (ii) As the B increases, it experiences from monotonous descension to the appearance of a maximum; (iii) As the net gain ɑ0 increases, it experiences a process repeatedly changing from the monotonous descension to monotonous ascension, and to the appearance of a maximum, finally to monotonous descension again. However, in the case of, the time evolution of C(t) only exhibits a form of damping oscillation .

Abstract: Based on the secondary rainbow principle, three kinds of glass beads with typical refractive indices 1.90, 1.93 and 2.2 are measured by semiconductor lasers with three different wavelengths (632.8 nm, 532 nm and 404 nm). Then dispersion functions are determined according to Cauchy function and experimental results, which show that the normal dispersion characteristic belongs to the glass beads but with the large amount. By analyzing whether the dispersion has effect on retroreflective capability with different incident angles from 0° to 90°, it shows that the retroreflective capability of glass beads with refractive index 2.2 is inferior to those of 1.90 and 1.93. Additionally, the energy distribution of retroreflect lights in the paraxial region is simulated by ray tracing method. And the results indicate that the retroreflective energies of glass beads with refractive indices 1.90 and 1.93 are mainly concentrated in the range of 5°.

Abstract: 转化生长因子β超家族的细胞因子在细胞生长发育和分化、物质代谢等方面都有极其重要的作用,这种多功效性决定在细胞内必然存在复杂的TGFβ信号传导通路。Smad是TGFβ超家族信号传导的下游因子,介导TGFβ信号从胞质中传入细胞核,特异性调节TGFβ靶基因的表达。最近的研究发现与Smad结合的蛋白因子,包括转录因子、活化因子和抑制因子等在Smad特异性识别和调控TGFβ靶基因表达的过程中起着十分重要的作用。同时,Smad通过与不同蛋白因子相结合形成复合体调控TGFβ靶基因的表达可能是TGFβ具有多种生物学功能的分子基础。

Abstract: 采用冷压烧结粉末冶金法,以300 MPa的压力进行初压,在氢气保护气氛下于烧结温度为950 ℃,3 h下烧结,然后冷却至室温后再以300 MPa的压力进行复压制备出铜石墨合金材料.通过电滑动磨损试验及扫描电子显微镜分析等方法研究了铜石墨合金材料的磨损性能,探讨其磨损机制.结果表明:在试验参数范围内,试样的磨损量随着试验载荷、速度及电流密度的增加而增大;在载流条件下电流产生的电弧热是其磨损量增加的主要因素;石墨和铅以单质形式存在有利于摩擦副之间的润滑和提高其耐磨性能;合金的磨损机制主要为磨粒磨损、电侵蚀磨损和黏着磨损.
MicroRNA-21 Regulates hTERT via PTEN in Hypertrophic Scar Fibroblasts

Abstract: Background As an important oncogenic miRNA, microRNA-21 (miR-21) is associated with various malignant diseases. However, the precise biological function of miR-21 and its molecular mechanism in hypertrophic scar fibroblast cells has not been fully elucidated. Methodology/Principal Findings Quantitative Real-Time PCR (qRT-PCR) analysis revealed significant upregulation of miR-21 in hypertrophic scar fibroblast cells compared with that in normal skin fibroblast cells. The effects of miR-21 were then assessed in MTT and apoptosis assays through in vitro transfection with a miR-21 mimic or inhibitor. Next, PTEN (phosphatase and tensin homologue deleted on chromosome ten) was identified as a target gene of miR-21 in hypertrophic scar fibroblast cells. Furthermore, Western-blot and qRT-PCR analyses revealed that miR-21 increased the expression of human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) via the PTEN/PI3K/AKT pathway. Introduction of PTEN cDNA led to a remarkable depletion of hTERT and PI3K/AKT at the protein level as well as inhibition of miR-21-induced proliferation. In addition, Western-blot and qRT-PCR analyses confirmed that hTERT was the downstream target of PTEN. Finally, miR-21 and PTEN RNA expression levels in hypertrophic scar tissue samples were examined. Immunohistochemistry assays revealed an inverse correlation between PTEN and hTERT levels in high miR-21 RNA expressing-hypertrophic scar tissues. Conclusions/Significance These data indicate that miR-21 regulates hTERT expression via the PTEN/PI3K/AKT signaling pathway by directly targeting PTEN, therefore controlling hypertrophic scar fibroblast cell growth. MiR-21 may be a potential novel molecular target for the treatment of hypertrophic scarring.

Abstract: The pretreatment of digital fingerprint is a key of the entire identification process, comprehensively analyzing the characteristic of every kind pretreatment method is helpful to improve the prctreatment algorithm. Through the experimental result of the various methods of pretreatment, the effects were illuminated; appraisal of every kind pretreatment method was given; the optimal scheme of enhanced fingerprints based on the Fourier transform and direction information was determined, and the standard of the comparing pretreatment algorithm was proposed.

Abstract: Superoxide Dismutases (SODs) are ubiquitously expressed antioxidant enzyme in aerobic organisms and catalyze dismutation of superoxide anion to hydrogen and molecular oxygen, the first step in active oxygen-scavenging systems. SODs play a central role in protecting cells against the toxic effects of reactive oxygen species generated during normal cellular metabolic activity or as a result of various environmental stresses. This paper reviews the expression and regulation of Sod genes and their functional role(s) during development and in response to stresses.

Abstract: Chicken skeletal muscle satellite cells were obtained by a two-step method of collagenase-I and trypsin digestion, followed by in vitro culture. They were further identified by specific gene expression assays. In addition, cell biological characteristics and myogenic genes expression were analyzed. Results showed that satellite cells from chicken skeletal muscle tissue expressed pax7, desmin, and possessed ability to proliferate and differentiate. The technical platform was established to study the mechanism of myogenic proliferation, differentiation and muscle regeneration.
