A educa??o como um direito fundamental de natureza social

Abstract: there seems to be a consensus on the idea that our government should consider education as a priority. however, reality shows that education is still a distant dream, especially for the most vulnerable groups in our society. both the practical implications of the fact that our constitution states the right to education as a fundamental right of social nature and the requirements that can be addressed to the state to meet it are little known. who is benefited by such right? may it be demanded collectively? does it only mean a seat in an elementary school or the right to require public policies? may legal mechanisms be used in case of irregular or inadequate offer? the challenge of this article is to define the legal regime of the right to education as a fundamental right of social nature to contribute to increase the concrete possibilities for its satisfaction.

Abstract: Este artigo representa nossa tese de doutorado, para a qual o gênero jornalístico é uma enuncia o relativamente estável, ao invés de enunciado relativamente estável, no dizer de Bakhtin. O gênero do jornalismo de atualidade se constitui nas combina es regulares de quatro elementos principais: 1) a lógica enunciativa; 2) a for a argumentativa; 3) a identidade discursiva e 4) o mídium. Segundo as competências empregadas pelos sujeitos comunicantes, sugerimos repensar a divis o entre gêneros discursivos jornalísticos e gêneros discursivos jornálicos. Fundamentada na forma o discursiva de Foucault, na análise do discurso (Charaudeau e Maingueneau) e na pragmática da comunica o (Austin, Searle), a pesquisa partiu das ocorrências (acontecimentos jornalísticos) e das condi es extralinguísticas (condi es de produ o com entrevistas) em dire o à compreens o da rela o entre discurso e realidade. A tese analisou sistematicamente composi es discursivas de seis veículos impressos e digitais de uma empresa brasileira (Grupo Folha da Manh S.A.), uma espanhola (RCS MediaGroup, maior acionista do El Mundo) e uma francesa (Le Monde S.A.).
NA60 results on $p_T$ spectra and the $ρ$ spectral function in In-In collisions

Abstract: The NA60 experiment at the CERN SPS has studied low-mass muon pairs in 158 AGeV In-In collisions. A strong excess of pairs is observed above the yield expected from neutral meson decays. The unprecedented sample size of close to 400K events and the good mass resolution of about 2% have made it possible to isolate the excess by subtraction of the decay sources (keeping the $\rho$). The shape of the resulting mass spectrum exhibits considerable broadening, but essentially no shift in mass. The acceptance-corrected transverse-momentum spectra have a shape atypical for radial flow and show a significant mass dependence, pointing to different sources in different mass regions.

Abstract: this article analyses the relations among children, the dead and death, and the eventuality of a child's own death, to the mebengokre-xikrin, an indigenous population living in north of brazil and speaker of a gê language. these themes are developed on analyzing the fabrication of the body, the formation of the self and the person, and the relations with the dead, giving special attention to children. thus, the formation of the self and children's relations to the cosmos and the dead - their eventuality of being captured by spirits of the dead, their being adopted in the after-life, their mourning, their bodily adornment and painting, how they are cared in life preventing death, their bodies and social interactions - are analyzed in order to discuss in a innovative way mebengokré-xikrin notions of childhood.

Abstract: this article presents partial results from a study aimed at recognizing the work of members of a public health team who regularly perform tubal ligations. empirical data were obtained through interviews and observation of routine activities by nine team members. the principal analytical categories were health work concepts. the team was basically characterized as hierarchical, but the specific decision on surgical sterilization tended to become more horizontal, with a tendency towards a multidisciplinary approach. this situation tends to involve the ethical dimension, with a shift from scientific and biomedical knowledge to the social sciences and humanities. on the other hand, and in a contradictory way, in the actual decision to perform surgical sterilization, technical criteria are supported by biomedical knowledge, and comprehensive knowledge is relegated to a secondary role.

Abstract: the opening conference of the twentieth third annual meeting of anped had as a central theme "education is not a privilege: the centennial of anísio teixeira”. honouring this brazilian educator, the conference remembered his life performance under three breaking points located in time at the end of the twenties, in 1935 and in 1964. under the light of his career, the evaluation of his work makes us think about the contemporary problems of education in our society especially the globalization of economy, the institutional violence and the challenges of the educational research.

Abstract: the former high school corresponds to the now called second segment of elementary school system (law 9394/96). this paper proposes a new reading of the questions related to high school teaching in terms of access and quality in the brazilian education. it shows how this type of education appeared and how it gradually changed from a type of education offered by certain particular institutions into one of the teaching levels of a public and private school network, and finally into a component of the elementary school system. it gives a special emphasis to those decisive moments in that transformation which mark conflicts among projects for a society, formative concepts and innovative pedagogical alternatives. the principal objective is to understand the meaning assigned to it by different groups and/or classes in the quest for democratizing education in our society, meanings which were translated into public policies or in their absence.
