An Integrated Control Strategy Adopting Droop Control with Virtual Inductance in Microgrid  [PDF]

Abstract: As there exists sorts of distributed generators in microgrid, an integrated control strategy containing different control methods against corresponding generators should be applied. The strategy in this paper involves PQ control and droop control methods. The former aims at letting generators like PV output maximum power. The latter stems from inverter parallel technique and applies to controlling generators which can keep the network voltage steady to make the parallel system reach the minimum circulation point. Due to the unworthiness of droop control applied in low-voltage microgrid of which the impedance ratio is rather high, the paper adopts the droop control introducing virtual generator and virtual impedance. Based on theoretical analysis, simulation in Matlab is also implemented to verify the feasibility of the strategy.

Abstract: Background: The prognosis of patients with tumors is partly influenced by the stage when patients are diagnosed. Therefore, the time of confirmed diagnosis after onset can be considered as a prognostic predictor. Although a few of studies work on it, factors that influence the duration remain poorly understood in different areas. Methods: This retrospective study involved patients with gastric cancer. Participants completed questionnaires by either phone or face-to-face interviews. Results: Females are with a longer interval than males. Farms lived in rural area and with New Rural Cooperative Medical Scheme are associated with a longer time interval. Patients whose income is mainly from their spouses also have a longer interval. Abdominal pain seems to be associated with longer interval time, while vomiting leads to a shorter time interval. Taking medicine after symptoms appear is associated with longer time intervals, especially those take medicine nonstandardly and more than 2 weeks. Conclusions: The results demonstrate that the medical resource in rural area should still be enhanced; meanwhile taking medicine without doctor’s advice should be cut down. Additional efforts must be made to devise strategies to properly guide patients’ behavior.

Abstract:

A novel method of measuring the positive-sequence capacitance of T-connection transmission lines is proposed. The mathematical model of the new method is explained in detail. In order to obtain enough independent equations, three independent operation modes of T-connection transmission lines during the line measurement are introduced. The digital simulation results and field measurement results are shown. The simulation and measurement results have validated that the new method can meet the needs of measuring the positive-sequence capacitance of T-connection transmission lines. This method has been implemented in the newly developed measurement instrument.

Abstract:

Live line measurement methods can reduce the loss of power outages and eliminate interference. There are three live line measurement methods including integral method, differential method and algebraic method. A simulation model of two coupled parallel transmission lines spanning on the same towers is built in PSCAD and the calculation errors of these three methods are compared with different sampling frequencies by using of Matlab. The effect of harmonic on calculation is also involved. The simulation results indicate that harmonic has the least effect on the algebraic method which provides stable result and small error.

Abstract: 双护盾掘进机掘进与管片衬砌几乎同时进行,具有快速施工的特点,但管片衬砌能否承受电站引水隧洞高内水压力作用,是决定引水隧洞能否采用管片衬砌及TBM施工的关键之一.结合青松电站引水隧洞,对管片衬砌在承受高内水压力作用下的应力与变形特性进行三维有限元计算,对影响管片接缝张开的主要因素进行分析,获得在高内水压力作用下的管片应力、变形分布,深化对高内水压力作用下的管片衬砌特性的认识.计算发现在内水压力作用下,管片衬砌具有柔性变形特征,就青松电站而言,在现有的接缝止水技术条件下,管片衬砌可承受高水头内水压力作用,这对推动管片衬砌及TBM在引水隧洞中的应用具有重要意义.

Abstract: Aimed at some limitation of the traditional BP Neural Network,a global optimal algorithm is put forward based on alternative and iterative algorithm,and the corresponding program of FORTRAN is developed. With the same initial condition,the Neural Network based on alternative and iterative algorithm is compared with that based on the traditional algorithm,and the characteristic and excellence of the former algorithm are explained. As an example,based on the nonlinear characteristic of ANN and 3D seepage flow FEM computation,the method combined with inversion principle is applied to the sluice foundation and the percolation parameter ratio is obtained. Compared with the actual value,the obtained result is accurate,which illuminates the reliability of the algorithm in back analysis.
Ratio of Metastatic to Examined Lymph Nodes, a Helpful Staging System and Independent Prognostic Factor of Esophagogastric Junction Cancer

Abstract: Background The incidence of the esophagogastric junction cancer is growing rapidly. The purpose of this study is to clarify the outcome of the ratio between metastatic and examined lymph nodes in esophagogastric junction cancer patients with or without 7 examined lymph nodes. Methods A total of 3,481 patients who underwent operation are identified from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database. Different lymph nodes resected groups are analyzed to test the lymph nodes ratio factor. Results There are 2522 patients with 7 or more lymph nodes resected and 959 patients with less than 7 lymph nodes resected. Lymph nodes ratio and lymph node involvement are independent prognostic factors. But the lymph nodes ratio categories have a better prognostic value than the lymph node involvement categories. Compared with lymph node involvement categories, lymph nodes ratio categories represent patients with more homogeneous overall survival rate. Conclusions This study defines that the lymph nodes ratio is an independent prognostic factor for esophagogastric junction cancer. The lymph nodes ratio can prevent stage migration and may be a helpful system to predict the prognosis of esophagogastric junction cancer patients.
Expression and Function of Kisspeptin during Mouse Decidualization

Abstract: Background Plasma kisspeptin levels dramatically increased during the first trimester of human pregnancy, which is similar to pregnancy specific glycoprotein-human chorionic gonadotropin. However, its particular role in the implantation and decidualization has not been fully unraveled. Here, the study was conducted to investigate the expression and function of kisspeptin in mouse uterus during early pregnancy and decidualization. Methodology/Principal Findings Quantitative PCR results demonstrated that Kiss1 and GPR54 mRNA levels showed dynamic increase in the mouse uterus during early pregnancy and artificially induced decidualization in vivo. KISS-1 and GPR54 proteins were spatiotemporally expressed in decidualizing stromal cells in intact pregnant females, as well as in pseudopregnant mice undergoing artificially induced decidualization. In the ovariectomized mouse uterus, the expression of Kiss1 mRNA was upregulated after progesterone or/and estradiol treatment. Moreover, in a stromal cell culture model, the expression of Kiss1 and GPR54 mRNA gradually rise with the progression of stromal cell decidualization, whereas the attenuated expression of Kiss1 using small interfering RNA approaches significantly blocked the progression of stromal cell decidualization. Conclusion our results demonstrated that Kiss1/GPR54 system was involved in promoting uterine decidualization during early pregnancy in mice.
D-Dimer: Not Just an Indicator of Venous Thrombosis but a Predictor of Asymptomatic Hematogenous Metastasis in Gastric Cancer Patients

Abstract: Background Plasma D-dimer levels have been shown to be high in advanced tumor stage patients and can be used to predict clinical outcome in cancer patients. As most advanced tumor stage patients exhibit asymptomatic metastasis, which contributes to early tumor recurrence after surgery, we hypothesized that plasma D-dimer levels can be used to predict patients with potential metastasis. Methods We enrolled 1042 primary gastric cancer patients in three multiple cancer centers in Northwest China and examined plasma D-dimer levels using the latex-enhanced immunoturbidimetric assay (LEIA) method. Plasma D-dimer levels were compared with the clinicopathological characteristics in this large-scale case-control study with follow up. We also performed regular follow-up studies for 395 patients to analyze the 2-year survival rate and early tumor recurrence. Results In this large-scale clinical study, we found that plasma D-dimer levels were increased in patients with distant metastasis and especially hematogenous metastasis patients. The cut-off value of the D-dimer levels was determined to be 1.5 mg/ml based on the ROC curve, and the sensitivity and specificity for metastasis prediction were 61.9% and 86.6%, respectively. Additionally, patients with high D-dimer levels displayed early tumor recurrence and poor outcome during the follow-up study. Conclusion Plasma D-dimer may represent an easy to measure and lower cost marker for the testing of gastric cancer patients to predict asymptomatic hematogenous metastasis.
