PRP-Type Direct Search Methods for Unconstrained Optimization  [PDF]

Abstract: Three PRP-type direct search methods for unconstrained optimization are presented. The methods adopt three kinds of recently developed descent conjugate gradient methods and the idea of frame-based direct search method. Global convergence is shown for continuously differentiable functions. Data profile and performance profile are adopted to analyze the numerical experiments and the results show that the proposed methods are effective.
Absorption Enhanced Methanol Synthesis in a Trickle Bed Reactor over Cu/Zn/Al2O3 Catalyst  [PDF]

Methanol synthesis in a trickle bed reactor with tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether (TEGDME) as the liquid phase over a Cu/Zn/Al2O3 catalyst was investigated. The pressure was kept constant at 5.0 MPa, while the temperature ranged from 230℃?to 260℃?and the mass space velocity varied between 294 L·Kg-1·h-1 and 1655 L·Kg-1·h-1. The effects of temperature and space velocity on CO conversion and methanol productivity were studied. Methanol synthesis processes in trickle bed with the TEGDME and paraffin oil as liquid phase were compared with the fixed bed process. The results indicated that the optimal temperature was approximately 240. When the space velocity was increased, the CO conversion decreased while the methanol productivity increased. The liquid introduced can help to keep the reactor nearly isothermal. For methanol synthesis in trickle-bed reactor, TEGDME was better than paraffin oil. Effect of TEGDME on the reaction was twofold. On one hand, it absorbs the methanol and speeds up the reaction. On the other hand, it also increases the mass transfer resistance and hinders the reaction.

Abstract: This paper studies the characteristics of Chinese university physical culture through literature materials, interviews, logical analysis, System Induce and so on. The characteristics are: epochal characteristics of university physical culture, hereditability, experiential characteristics, regional characteristic and diversity of ways of participating and realizing of university physical culture. Based on these characteristics, this paper has mainly analyzed the value orientation of Chinese university physical culture, for example, entertaining value orientation, nationalization value orientation, humanistic value orientation, pluralistic integration value orientation, scientific and globalization value orientation of university physical culture. This paper hopes to be of some help in establishing Chinese university physical culture and spreading physical culture theories. Abstract: Previously, we have reported that a gene encoding Bombyxmoriβ-N-acetylglucosaminidase 2 (BmGlcNAcase2) has been identified differentially expressed in the midgut of Bombyxmori strain NB resistant to nucleopolyhedrovirus (BmNPV), strain 306 susceptible to NPV and a near isogenic line BC9 with similar genetic background to 306 but resistant to NPV by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE). To get more knowledge about the relationship between β-N-acetylglucosaminidase and the resistance of NPV, in this study, the 1542 bp open reading frame of a putative bombyxmoriβ-N-acetylglucosaminidase 2 gene (BmGlcNAcase2) was amplified from a pool of bombyxmoricDNAs and inserted into the prokaryotic expression plasmid pET-30a(+).Western blotting analysis showed that BmGlcNAcase2 was expressed in hemolymph, ovary, testis, fat body, trachea, midgut and silk gland of fifth instar larvae respectively . Immunofluoresence analysis indicated that BmGlcNAcase2 was mainly located to the cytoplasm or some structure in cytoplasm.

Abstract: The information transmission is transparent for the user in the ZigBee wireless sensors network, which are lack of interactivity and self-constrain. The information in the ZigBee wireless sensors network can not be viewed in a real time by a friendly interface. Modbus protocol is embedded into ZigBee stack, in this way, we can implement interaction well and the information can be viewed in a friendly interface. The paper presents the measures to embed the Modbus protocol into the ZigBee stack provided by Chipcon company, which contains address bound mechanism, information centralized storage, and flexible monitoring, by which we can monitor the real time information from the ZigBee wireless network and use some instructions to control the remote device in a friendly interface, which can be used well in the middle and small ZigBee monitoring wireless sensors network. We implement it in the plant physiological ecology monitoring system.

Abstract: As an effective way in finding the underlying parameters of a high-dimension space, manifold learning is popular in nonlinear dimensionality reduction which makes high-dimensional data easily to be observed and analyzed. In this paper, Isomap, one of the most famous manifold learning algorithms, is applied to process closing prices of stocks of CSI 300 index from September 2009 to October 2011. Results indicate that Isomap algorithm not only reduces dimensionality of stock data successfully, but also classifies most stocks according to their trends efficiently.
Primary and secondary school mental health teachers in professional identity of intervention programs  [PDF]

Abstract: To explore the impact of teacher training on the professional identity of primary and secondary school mental health teachers, this study conducted a half-month professional development training program to 54 primary and secondary school mental health teachers, and performed measurement on the professional identity of the teachers in the experimental group and the control group with “Teachers’ Professional Identity Questionnaire”. The result shows that after the training there is a significant improvement in the professional identity of the teachers in the experimental group, and the teachers’ scores on the four dimensions of profession identity: the sense of role, the professional behavioral tendency, the occupational values, and the sense of belonging, all increased significantly. This indicates that the curriculum intervention for the primary and secondary school mental health teachers could effectively improve the teachers’ professional identity.

Abstract: Nowadays many studies have stressed the diagnosing inventory systems. This article examined problems encountered on logistics in a Malaysia herbal medicine company. The diagnosis was conducted using the fish bone diagram for the whole supply chain process from the production, hub warehouse, freight forwarders, zone warehouse to customers. The derived results highlight the inventory level management as the root reason, which leads to a set of initial recommendations, including: 1) install the computer-based software system to control inventory level which is to be integrated with the supply chain; and 2) meanwhile implement aggressive marketing approaches to minimize the rate of the returned products.

Application Research of Off-grid Home Photovoltaic Power System in Shaanxi Northern Region  [PDF]

Abstract: Because working performance of off-grid home photovoltaic power system is influenced by factors of solar radiation, ambient temperature and installation angle, this research established power supply model, analyzed working performance and optimized system configuration, by referencing weather conditions of Yulin and Yan’an and those factors. Results showed that under given solar radiation and ambient temperature, difference of installation angle can cause 30% to 40% difference of performance. In order to meet power demand, installation angles of Yulin and Yan'an were selected as 40 degree and 30 degree, and annual output power were 1.44 kWh/Wp and 1.32 kWh/Wp. Based on those results, the configuration of Yulin and Yan'an was 150 Wp and 170 Wp, and annual output power was 172.70 kWh and 179.66 kWh. Systems optimized above can meet the mid-scale demand in Shaanxi northern region and build theoretical foundation of application.
