An Efficient Method to Reduce the Numerical Dispersion in the HIE-FDTD Scheme  [PDF]

Abstract: A parameter optimized approach for reducing the numerical dispersion of the 3-D hybrid implicit-explicit finite-difference time-domain (HIE-FDTD) is presented in this letter. By adding a parameter into the HIE-FDTD formulas, the error of the numerical phase velocity can be controlled, causing the numerical dispersion to decrease significantly. The numerical stability and dispersion relation are presented analytically, and numerical experiments are given to substantiate the proposed method.
A Dynamic Interval Based Circular Safe Region Algorithm for Continuous Queries on Moving Objects  [PDF]

Abstract: Moving object database (MOD) engine is the foundation of Location-Based Service (LBS) information systems. Continuous queries are important in spatial-temporal reasoning of a MOD. The communication costs were the bottleneck for improving query efficiency until the rectangular safe region algorithm partly solved this problem. However, this algorithm can be further improved, as we demonstrate with the dynamic interval based continuous queries algorithm on moving objects. Two components, circular safe region and dynamic intervals were adopted by our algorithm. Theoretical proof and experimental results show that our algorithm substantially outperforms the traditional periodic monitoring and the rectangular safe region algorithm in terms of monitoring accuracy, reducing communication costs and server CPU time. Moreover, in our algorithm, the mobile terminals do not need to have any computational ability.

Abstract: The purpose of the present study is to analyze the space division characteristics and trends of the income gap between the rural resident in China using a statistical method, which based on the provincial panel rural resident’s income series plan data from 1978 to 2008. The results of the study suggest that the east regional has the largest income disparity, the west has the second place, and central has minimum income gap. At last, the regression model was build based on Cobb-Douglas production function by combining the conversion factors and the influence of urbanization area. And the validity of the models was also demonstrated by regression analysis using 30 provincial or region’s panel data.

Abstract: Preeclampsia (PE) is a life-threatening complication of pregnancy. The precise origin of PE remains obscure. Placenta has been considered to play a central role in its pathology. Here we present a brief overlook of placenta related pathogenic factors that might be involved in the pathology changes of PE. A series of factors that correlated with placenta pathology have been regarded attributed to the mechanism of the disease. Some of the factors may be confirmed to be useful biomarkers in the early prediction and monitoring of the disease in a future.

According to the requirement of manufacturing collaborative design, apply cloud computing in manufacturing collaborative design and come up the concept of product collaborative cloud design. Study the product collaborative design theory based on cloud computing and the general key technology of cloud computing, semantic web, intelligent matching selection algorithm, STEP and XML technology, version management and conflict resolution arithmetic and so on which related to this theory. The study object of this article is automotive product. Construct an automotive collaborative design system with the key technology to verify the feasibility and validity of the cloud basing collaborative design theory and related technology. This collaborative design system will overcome the weakness that resource and information can not be shared between different department in the same enterprise or different enterprises. Join up this system will help directly enterprise for collaborative design and the repetition construction of collaborative design platform of each enterprise will be avoid. It will reduce the investment of enterprises for constructing and managing collaborative design platform and further reduce the cost of product R&D with a better and more efficient design.

 

Threshold strategy to improve the images reconstructed by electrical impedance tomography  [PDF]

Abstract:


Because of the illposedness of soft field, the quality of EIT images is not satisfied as expected. This paper puts forward a threshold strategy to decrease the artifacts in the reconstructed images by modifying the solutions of inverse problem. Threshold strategy is a kind of post processing method with merits of easy, direct and efficient. Reconstructed by Gauss-Newton algorithm, the simulation image’s quality is improved evidently. We take two performance targets, image reconstruction error and correlation coefficient, to evaluate the improvement. The images and the data show that threshold strategy is effective and achievable.

Abstract:

This paper treats the problem of chaos synchronization for uncertain Lorenz system via single state variable information of the master system. By the Lyapunov stability theory and adaptive technique, the derived controller is featured as follows: 1) only single state variable information of the master system is needed; 2) chaos synchronization can also be achieved even if the perturbation is occurred in some parameters of the master chaotic system. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed controllers is also illustrated by the simulations as well as rigorous mathematical proofs.

Abstract:

The paper explores the intrinsic link between logistics industry, national economy and three industries by using Chinese input-output table of 2010. It shows that logistics industry has the strongest inquiry and need on secondary industry; next is itself and the last is Agriculture. Second, the influence coefficient of logistics industry is after the second industry radiation ability; its status in national economy is strong and has become the dominant industry of national economic development. Furthermore, the degree of fluctuation for logistics industry is small, and its restriction role and bottleneck effect are obvious for national economy. Moreover, logistics industry is a sector with strong radiation and weak constraints and its promotion effect on national economy is more pronounced than that of national economy on itself.
