A Comparative Corpus-based Study of Semantic Prosody

Abstract: The present study uses the main corpus CLEC and the reference corpus BROWN to explore the semantic prosody of COMMIT in Chinese EFL. The result indicates that Chinese EFL learners exhibit similar semantic prosody as compared with those of native speakers. Nevertheless, they still use lots of interlanguge collocations and unusual collocations, which ruin the due semantic prosodic harmony, thus making their English quite unnatural and less idiomatic. Finally, implications on integrating semantic prosody into ESL/EFL vocabulary pedagogy are discussed.

Abstract: Easy oxidation of carbon limits applications of carbon-carbon composites in an oxygen-containing environment. In this study, a two-layer SiC coating was prepared on carbon-carbon composites by a Spark plasma sintering technology at 1350°C for 1 min. The coating was mainly composed of β-SiC and Si and well bonded with the substrate. The double SiC coating could effectively protect the C/C composites from oxidation at 1600°C for 120 h, and the corresponding weight loss was only 2.62%.
An Overview of Corpus-based Studies of Semantic Prosody

Abstract: The study of semantic prosody (SP) is a brand new area in linguistic field. It has found great potential applications in dictionary compiling, translation, and second language acquisition etc. This paper reviews SP studies both in and out of China. Some related issues, such as definitions of SP, its origin, development and classification are discussed. Finally, its applications are reviewed.

Abstract: The key of ABR reactor start-up is whether operation efficient and stable or not.In order to achieve better start-up of the ABR reactor,a comparison between two different methods was made,1# reactor used the aerobic reactor linked to pre-film method,2# reactor used the low-load start.The conclusion is that aerobic pre-launch of film pegged to the start-up time is shorter,its efficiency of COD removal is high,the pH of effluent quality is stable,the growth of granular sludge is good.

Abstract: 对某厂硫酸卷曲霉素废水进行预处理试验,为水处理工程设计提供参考.选择混凝-气浮-水解酸化工艺组合作为预处理工艺,试验表明,依某厂硫酸卷曲霉素生产废水特征,以PAC为混凝剂、PAM为助凝剂,投药量分别为100和5 mg/L条件下,混凝-气浮单元的COD、BOD5和SS去除率分别在42.6%~48.7%、25.5%~40.8%和84.6%~92.6%之间;在水解酸化单元接种厌氧污泥,可以大大缩短污泥驯化时间,用经过14 d驯化时间的污泥处理气浮单元出水,HRT为16 h时,该单元的COD、BOD5去除率分别在8.4%~33.8%和5.0%~19.5%之间;气浮单元、水解酸化单元均提高了出水的可生化性.将混凝-气浮单元与水解酸化单元联合作为硫酸卷曲霉素生产废水的生化处理的前处理措施是可行的.

Abstract: 2001年9月至2002年1月在黑龙江省尚志市帽儿山林场研究了槲寄生(Viscum coloratum)的生物学特征及鸟类对其种子的传播。槲寄生寄主共有9种阔叶树,杨树占比例最大,达73.3%。78.0%的槲寄生个体以杨树为寄主。多数槲寄生着生在杨树主干侧枝(43%)和细侧枝(42%)上,主干上仅l5%。寄主和槲寄生本身都呈聚集分布。槲寄生有两种色型果实,在量度上无明显差异。果实由果皮、果肉和种子构成,种子外面包裹一层胶质层。在帽儿山秋、冬季常见的7种食果实鸟类中,只有太平鸟(Bombycilla garrulus)在野外觅食槲寄生果实,斑鸫(Turdus naumanii)在笼养无其它食物时才食,其余5种鸟类拒食。太平鸟在11月以后觅食槲寄生果实频率增大。除根寄生果实外,太平鸟共可食帽儿山常见l7种肉质果中的12种。太平鸟在吞食果实后,种子外包胶质层随粪便排出,形成“种子线”粘在树枝上,槲寄生种子被传播到适宜的生境,在春天萌根生长。笼养太平鸟时,种子在消化道的滞留时间约11min,这意味着在野外很长的扩散距离。槲寄生和太平鸟之间形成了特定的互利互生系统。
The Modulatory Effect of Dietary Apostichopus japonicus on Mice with Ulcerative Colitis Induced by Trinitrobenzene Sulfonic Acid  [PDF]

Abstract: Sea cucumber is a food with nutritional benefits distributing mainly in Asia, and Apostichopus japonicus (A. japonicus) is a kind of sea cucumber whose quality is better than any others. However, different processing methods make various effect on its quality. In this study, we evaluated the protection effect of A. japonicus with different processing methods on mice with ulcerative colitis induced by trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS), especially on the intestinal microflora. The expression of IFN-γ/IL-4 and IL-1β in gut, and intestinal microbiota were discussed. The results revealed that three different processing methods of A. japonicus could decrease the expression of inflammatory cytokines, except for the expression of IFN-γ/IL-4 treated with enzymatic, and dried A. japonicus was the most efficient. A. japonicus could change the microbiotic imblance relatively back to normal in terms of bacterial diversity and composition, meanwhile increase the abundance of Bifidobacteria, Lactobacillus and Clostridium leptum. The elements of protein, polysaccharide in dried, instant, enzymatic A. japonicus are 73.09%, 65.06%, 57.42% and 6.72%, 5.46%, 5.45% respectively. This study indicated that A. japonicus have a good improving effect on ulcerative colitis, especially on the microbiome, and processing methods had an effect on alleviation of ulcerative colitis, which might be associated with content of protein and polysaccharide.

Abstract: Sea cucumbers are recognized as food and drug resources with many nutritional benefits, and Apostichopus japonicus is a kind of sea cucumber with good quality. Processing methods have some effect on its quality. This study aimed to explore the effects of Apostichopus japonicus with three different processing methods (dried, instant, and enzymatic sea cucummbers) on intestinal microflora dysregulation using a cyclophosphamide (cy) induced immunosuppressive mouse model. The expression of lysozyme, immunoglobulin A (IgA), and polymeric immunoglobulin receptor (pIgR) in the intestine and gut microbiota were investigated. The results showed that three types of A. japonicus could improve mucosal immunity and regulate gut microbiota. Dietary A. japonicus could reverse microbial imbalance, including increasing the bacterial diversity, enhancing the number of Bifidobacterium, and changing the bacterial composition. The most effect was observed with dried A. japonicus. Expression of lysozyme and IgA in the intestine was significantly increased. This study identified positive effects of dietary A. japonicus on mucosal immunity, particularly on gut microbiota, suggesting that dietary A. japonicus may aid in improving mucosal immunity and preventing exogenous infection. Additionally, the processing method has some effect on immunomodulatory function.

Abstract: 利用高效液相色谱法建立了仿刺参皂苷类成分的指纹图谱,为仿刺参的质量控制提供了新的方法.采用固相萃取制备供试品溶液,选用Zorbax SB-C18色谱柱(250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm),以乙腈-0.1%磷酸水溶液为流动相进行梯度洗脱,检测波长为205 nm,柱温30 ℃.分析了不同产地的10批仿刺参样品,采用国家药典委员会推荐的"中药色谱指纹图谱相似度评价系统(2004 A版)"处理谱图,确定了6个共有峰.计算了10个样本间的指纹图谱相似度,所得相似度计算结果均大于0.97.该方法具有良好的稳定性和重现性,可用于仿刺参的质量控制.
Effects of Rh-endostar in Combination with Radiotherapy on Rats with Lung Cancer

Abstract: Background and objective Radiation sensitivity is closely related to tissue oxygen, and rh-endostatin can induce the high level of oxygen content in tumor by "normalizing" tumor angiogenesis which is associated with radiotherapy sensitivity. The aim of this study is to observe the effect of combination of radiotherapy with rh-endostatin in the rats with lung cancer. Methods Immediate lewis cancerous ascetic injection method was used to make rats tumors bearing model, then the rats was divided into four groups randomly: group A was treated with saline; group B was treated with rh-endostatin; group C was treated with irradiation and group D was treated with rh-endostatin and irradiation. After all rats were treated, inhibition rates and the tumor growth curve were calculated. Immunohistochemisty was adopted to check the expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and microvessel density (MVD). Results Compared with group A, the growth rates of the tumors in the other group were obviously slower, and the tumor weights were significantly different form group A (P<0.05). Compared with the other groups, the tumor weights of group D were obviously reduced (P<0.05). Compared with group A, VEGF and MVD of other three groups were reduced (P<0.05), and group D were significantly cut down. Conclusion Combination with radiotherapy and rh-endostatin could inhibit the lung cancer significantly in rats. The possible mechanisms are to decrease the expression of VEGF and inhibit the production of angiogenesis.
