Abstract: A phase factor was introduced into the wave function properly, and the correlation of the dipoles was taken into account by a semiclassical approach. Thus a successful explanation of the observability of quantum beat is obtained for various circumstances. Particularly, it has been made clear that there should be no single atom beat for the lower state splited cases, which removes the difficulty of semiclassical theory in explaining quantum beat. Therefore it has been shown that the semiclassical theory can rise to the challenge from quantum electrody namics in explaining quantum beat.

Abstract: 摘要 目的:通过设立对比实验,研究酪蛋白磷酸肽-无定形磷酸钙(Casein phosphopetide-amorphic calcium phosphat,CPP-ACP)及酪蛋白磷酸肽-无定形磷酸氟钙(Casein phosphoetide-amorphic calcium fluoride phosphate complexes,CPP-ACFP)对牙本质小管的封闭效果及对树脂粘结剂粘结强度的影响。方法:将36个试件随机分为自酸蚀和全酸蚀组,每组再分空白组、GC组、GC plus组3个亚组(n=6)。采用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)观察CPP-ACP和CPP-ACFP预处理牙本质1 d和7 d后的表面形貌改变;用能谱分析,计算钙磷比值,分析羟基磷灰石晶体结构和成份;每个试件上均堆积厚约4 mm的Z350树脂,通过万能测试机进行微拉伸强度测试,分析CPP-ACP和CPP-ACFP预处理对粘结剂粘结强度的影响;使用体视显微镜,观察界面的断裂模式,并对结果进行统计分析。结果:SEM显示,经预处理的牙本质小管直径减小,经多次预处理与1次相比,牙本质小管几乎完全封闭;能谱分析表明经预处理的牙本质与空白组牙本质Ca∶P比值变化并无统计学差异,新形成的羟基磷灰石结构和成份与牙本质类似;微拉伸实验结果显示,在牙本质表面应用CPP-ACP或CPP-ACFP后,可降低全酸蚀粘结剂single bond2的粘结强度(P<0.05),而对自酸蚀粘结剂ibond的粘结强度无明显影响;两者对同一种粘结剂粘结强度的影响无统计学意义;体视显微镜观察,各组断裂模式均以粘结面断裂为主。结论:粘结前使用CPP-ACP或CPP-ACFP预处理牙本质表面,可以封闭牙本质小管,多次应用效果更加显著;CPP-ACP或CPP-ACFP预处理后对自酸蚀粘结剂粘结强度没有影响;会降低全酸蚀粘结剂的粘结强度

Abstract: 摘要 目的:制备结构稳定,易于被包封的明胶/染料木素纳米复合物。方法:两步去溶剂法制备明胶纳米粒(gelatin nanoparticles,GNPs),将染料木素(genistein,GEN)吸附于GNPs表面,形成纳米粒复合物,表征其形态、粒径,明确其吸附条件,并计算包封率;以时间、温度、GNPs的浓度、pH为考量参数,检测上清液在262 nm处的峰值,通过标准曲线方程计算染料木素的浓度,量化各参数对包封率的作用。结果:GNPs微球表面呈锥形或梭形,粒径范围150~200 nm。最高载药量约为34.7%,最优化条件下包封率超过90%。随着纳米复合物的降解,GEN的释放呈现出可逆性,冻干后的纳米复合物,具有良好纳米形态和稳定的药物含量。结论:两步去溶剂法可制备形态均一且具有高包封率的GNPs/GEN纳米复合物,同时具有良好的结构稳定性,可室温保存0.5年以上
Shear Modulus Estimation on Vastus Intermedius of Elderly and Young Females over the Entire Range of Isometric Contraction

Abstract: Elderly people often suffer from sarcopenia in their lower extremities, which gives rise to the increased susceptibility of fall. Comparing the mechanical properties of the knee extensor/flexors on elderly and young subjects is helpful in understanding the underlying mechanisms of the muscle aging process. However, although the stiffness of skeletal muscle has been proved to be positively correlated to its non-fatiguing contraction intensity by some existing methods, this conclusion has not been verified above 50% maximum voluntary contraction (MVC) due to the limitation of their measurement range. In this study, a vibro-ultrasound system was set up to achieve a considerably larger measurement range on muscle stiffness estimation. Its feasibility was verified on self-made silicone phantoms by comparing with the mechanical indentation method. The system was then used to assess the stiffness of vastus intermedius (VI), one of the knee extensors, on 10 healthy elderly female subjects (56.7±4.9 yr) and 10 healthy young female subjects (27.6±5.0 yr). The VI stiffness in its action direction was confirmed to be positively correlated to the % MVC level (R2 = 0.999) over the entire range of isometric contraction, i.e. from 0% MVC (relaxed state) to 100% MVC. Furthermore, it was shown that there was no significant difference between the mean VI shear modulus of the elderly and young subjects in a relaxed state (p>0.1). However, when performing step isometric contraction, the VI stiffness of young female subjects was found to be larger than that of elderly participants (p<0.001), especially at the relatively higher contraction levels. The results expanded our knowledge on the mechanical property of the elderly’s skeletal muscle and its relationship with intensity of active contraction. Furthermore, the vibro-ultrasound system has a potential to become a powerful tool for investigating the elderly’s muscle diseases.

Abstract: This paper studied seeping characteristics of loess, paleosol and the enrichment condition of groundwater by seeping experiments at 30 experimental points, magnetic susceptibility analysis, porosity and CaCO3 determination of 10 loess and paleosol layers in Middle Pleistocene on Bailu tableland. The result showed that loess layers with greater porosity developed well in water bearing space and were prone to form water-bearing layers. The paleosol with less porosity did not develop well in water bearing space and was prone to form a water-resisting layer. The difference between loess and paleosol in permeability and water bearing space is attributed to climatic difference and pedogenisis. Generally, CaCO3 concretion layer is a good water-resisting layer with its compact structure. The Koctakob formula in the three experience formulas is more fit for describing seeping rule loess and paleosol developed since 500 ka BP by seeping experience data of Bailu tableland. The average and standard deviation for every parameter of three experience formulas can provide important reference for hydrological and agricultural sector using the seeping experience formula. This study broadened a new application field of climatic change theory in Quaternary period. It is showed that studied results in climate change of the Pleistocene had important application value in soil and groundwater enrichment condition and rule, and utilization of water resources.
Efficacy and safety of gemcitabine-oxaliplatin combined with huachansu in patients with advanced gallbladder carcinoma

Abstract: AIM: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of gemcitabine-oxaliplatin (GEMOX) combined with huachansu (cinobufagin) injection treatment in patients with locally advanced or metastatic gallbladder carcinoma (GBC), and to assess the quality of life (QOL) of such patients.METHODS: Twenty-five patients with locally advanced or metastatic GBC were treated with intravenous gemcitabine (1000 mg/m2) over 30 min on days 1 and 8, 2 h infusion of oxaliplatin (120 mg/m2) on day 1, and 2-3 h infusion of huachansu (20 mL/m2) on days -3-11, every 3-4 wk. Treatment was continued until occurrence of unacceptable toxicity or disease progression. QOL of patients was assessed by the EORTC QLQ-C30 at baseline, at the end of the first, third and sixth chemotherapy cycles, and 1 mo after the treatment.RESULTS: Among the 25 patients with a median age of 64 years (range 42-78 years), 23 were evaluable in the study. A total of 137 cycles of therapy were performed and the median cycle was 5 (range 1-8) per patient. Out of the 23 patients whose response could be evaluated, 8 partial responses (PR) were observed (34.8%), while 7 patients (30.4%) demonstrated a stable disease (SD). The disease control rate was 65.2%. Progression of cancer was observed in 8 (34.8%) patients. The median progression-free and overall survival time was 5.8 mo (95% CI: 4.5-7.1 mo) and 10.5 mo, respectively. The therapy was well tolerated, with moderate myelosuppression as the main toxicity. Anemia grade 2 was seen in 16.0%, neutropenia grade 3 in 8.0% and thrombocytopenia grade 3 in 24.0% of patients, respectively. Non-hematologic toxicity ranged from mild to moderate. No death occurred due to toxicity. The QOL of patients was improved after chemotherapy, and the scores of QOL were increased by 10 to 20 points.CONCLUSION: GEMOX combined with huachansu (cinobufagin) injection is well tolerated, effective, thus improving the QOL of patients with advanced GBC.
Combined treatment of oxaliplatin and capecitabine in patients with metastatic esophageal squamous cell cancer

Abstract: AIM: To investigate the efficacy and side effects of the combined therapy of oxaliplatin and capecitabine in patients with metastatic esophageal squamous cell cancer (ESCC) and the survival of the patients.METHODS: Sixty-four patients (median age of 63 years) with histological or cytological confirmation of ESCC received oxaliplatin 120 mg/m2 intravenously on day 1 and capecitabine 1000 mg/m2 orally twice daily on days 1 to 14 in a 21-d treatment cycle as palliative chemotherapy. Each patient received at least two cycles of treatment. The efficacy, side effects and patient survival were evaluated.RESULTS: The partial response (PR) rate was 43.8% (28/64). Stable disease (SD) rate was 47.9% (26/64), and disease progression rate was 15.6% (10/64). The clinical benefit rate (PR + SD) was 84.4%. The main toxicities were leukopenia (50.0%), nausea and vomiting (51.6%), diarrhea (50.0%), stomatitis (39.1%), polyneuropathy (37.5%) and hand-foot syndrome (37.5%). No grade 4 event in the entire cohort was found. The median progression-free survival was 4 mo, median overall survival was 10 mo (95% CI: 8.3-11.7 mo), and the 1- and 2-year survival rates were 38.1% and 8.2%, respectively. High Karnofsky index, single metastatic lesion and response to the regimen indicated respectively good prognosis.CONCLUSION: Oxaliplatin plus capecitabine regimen is effective and tolerable in metastatic ESCC patients. The regimen has improved the survival moderately and merits further studies.
