Abstract: syngonanthus mucugensis giul. subsp. mucugensis is an herbaceous plant with significant economic value in the ornamental dry flower business. the restricted occurrence of the municipality mucugê-ba, brazil, exclusively associated with extractive exploitation, has considered this species as endangered. the objective of this work was to evaluate the organogenic potential of three different types of s. mucugensis subsp. mucugensis explants to promote the development of an alternative method to the propagation of the genetic resources of this important plant. the morphogenetic capacities of the leaf, stem and root this species was tested using murashige and skoog culture medium at half salt concentration and different concentrations of growth of regulators benzylaminopurine - bap (0.00; 2.22 and 4.44 μm), and naphthalene acetic acid - naa (0.00; 1.34 and 2.68 μm). the morphoanatomic events that lead to formation of shoots were described. stems proved to be the best source of explants, showing 58.75% regeneration of shoot by direct organogenesis in the absence of growth regulators, and 32.18 and 47.55% of shoot regeneration by indirect organogenesis in the presence of 2.22 and 4.44 μm bap, respectively. as for leaves, there was callus formation, but without regenerating shoots. morphogenesis was not observed when roots were used as explants. the histological analyses showed that shoot regeneration in s. mucugensis subsp. mucugensis occurred both indirectly, by unorganized tissue differentiation, and directly through returning to merismatic activity in differentiated mature cells and preexisting bud proliferation.

The trading of certified emission reduction through carbon markets is proving a very effective tool for mitigating global warming and climate change, that threatening the survival of humanity on the planet. This study aimed to present the current picture of the marketing of carbon credits and their relationship to economic and social aspects through a survey of data found in literature. The increase in emission levels of greenhouse gases in recent years is worrying, despite the efforts taken by major economies. It is necessary a greater consensus among nations, and an appropriate regulation to allow greater participation of stakeholders, so that the problem of global warming does not get an irreparable condition.

Abstract:

The evolution of social media in the recent years promoted the appearance of a new category: social media based on check-in. It enables the user to define their identity through information sharing. This paper aims to show the evolution of these media highlighting the effects and changes they cause in society through Super Bowl XLVI scenario, besides indicating the important role they have for the companies and marketing.

Complex cobordism and embeddability of CR-manifolds
Bruno De Oliveira
Mathematics , 2001,
Abstract: This paper studies complex cobordisms between compact, three dimensional, strictly pseudoconvex Cauchy-Riemann manifolds. Suppose the complex cobordism is given by a complex 2-manifold X with one pseudoconvex and one pseudoconcave end. We answer the following questions. What is the relation between the embeddability of the pseudoconvex end and the embeddability of the pseudoconcave end of X? Do all CR-functions on the pseudoconvex end of X extend to holomorphic functions on the interior of X? We prove that embeddability of a strictly pseudoconvex Cauchy-Riemann 3-manifold is not a complex-cobordism invariant. We show that a new phenomenon occurs: there are CR-functions on the pseudoconvex end that do not extend to holomorphic functions on X. We also show that the extendability of the CR-functions from the pseudoconvex end is necessary but not sufficient for embeddability to be preserved under complex cobordisms.

Abstract: The knowledge of animal behavior under grazing in different biomes is an alternative to increase production because it identifies possibilities of strategic interventions in the management. The aim of this study was to evaluate if the average time of grazing, ruminating and leisure are related to the position (station/decubitus), to the location (sun or shade), as well as the influence of gender in these interactions in Santa Inês sheep in Cerrado from Federal District, Brazil. To obtain the data, the behavior of the animals was assessed by visual observations at ten-minute intervals over a period of ten hours on two consecutive days. From the data obtained were analysis of variance and comparisons between means by Tukey test with significance level of 5%. The result of this study showed that the average time of grazing, ruminating and leisure in Santa Inês sheep, are related to the position (station/decubitus) and location (sun and shade). No significant differences were identified in relation to time spent in the activity of grazing, ruminating and leisure between Santa Inês sheep males and females.

Abstract: This article analyses the work British Destruction of the British monk Gildas, written in the 540 years AD. We brought out the passages that the author advises the British chiefs to supplant their weaknesses and their governmental incapacities due to their vices. To Gildas this chiefs were tyrants and the main responsible for the British defeat from the invasions. We also brought out the critics that Gildas made of the clerics of his time, probably influenced by the Irish monkship. To complete the historical research we took one work of Tacito (Life of Julio Agrícola), Beda (Historical Works), Nennius (History of Britons) and The Anglo Saxon Chronicle, written in the time of the king Alfred, the Great. The article is divided in six parts: the common characteristics of the German kingdoms, the invasion of the Britain – with a brief description of the Germanic migrations and the settlement of the Angles, Saxons and Juts, the new social structures – specially the changing of the Sippe, the Christianisation of England – with the return of the paganism and the works of conversion of Augustine, and a brief biography of Gildas.
