TEIXEIRA, Ana Beatriz Marinho de Jesus;ETCHEBEHERE, Elba Cristina Sá de Camargo;LIMA, Mariana Cunha Lopes de;SANTOS, Allan de Oliveira;PIRES, Bruno Cunha;VALENA JR., José Telmo;RAMOS, Celso Darío;CAMARGO, Edwaldo E.;
Revista do Instituto de Medicina Tropical de S?o Paulo , 2000, DOI: 10.1590/S0036-46652000000300011
Abstract: a 26 year-old female was admitted with abdominal pain, fever and weight loss. the clinical and laboratory investigations led to the diagnosis of paracoccidioidomycosis. gallium-67 whole body images correlated well with the clinical course of the disease and with the patient's prognosis.

Odonto , 2011,

Abstract: From the leaves of Bauhinia forficata kaempferol and four flavonoid glycosides, 3,7-di-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosylkaempferol, 3,7-di-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosylquercetin, 3-O-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1->6)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl]-7-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosylkaempferol and 3-O-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1->6)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl]-7-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosylquercetin were obtained. From the flowers only the flavonoid 7-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosylkaempferol was isolated. The structures were established by chemical and spectroscopic methods.
Computer program for distance learning of pesticide application technology
Maia, Bruno;Cunha, Joao P.A.R.;
Anais da Academia Brasileira de Ciências , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S0001-37652011005000038
Abstract: distance learning presents great potential for mitigating field problems on pesticide application technology. thus, due to the lack of teaching material about pesticide spraying technology in the portuguese language and the increasing availability of distance learning, this study developed and evaluated a computer program for distance learning about the theory of pesticide spraying technology using the tools of information technology. the modules comprising the course, named pulverizar, were: (1) basic concepts, (2) factors that affect application, (3) equipments, (4) spraying nozzles, (5) sprayer calibration, (6) aerial application, (7) chemigation, (8) physical-chemical properties, (9) formulations, (10) adjuvants, (11) water quality, and (12) adequate use of pesticides. the program was made available to the public on july 1st, 2008, hosted at the web site www.pulverizar.iciag.ufu.br, and was simple, robust and practical on the complementation of traditional teaching for the education of professionals in agricultural sciences. mastering pesticide spraying technology by people involved in agricultural production can be facilitated by the program pulverizar, which was well accepted in its initial evaluation.
Influência e causalidade entre o mercado de a??es e o mercado de op??es: revis?o de literatura e novos resultados
Cunha, Jefferson da;Costa Jr., Newton C. A. da;
Revista de Administra??o Contemporanea , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S1415-65552006000100003
Abstract: this paper provides a synthesis of the existing literature on the expiration-day effects and presents some new results on the subject. these effects are related to the impact of the expiration of options on the trading volume, price, and return of the underlying securities. event study and granger causality tests were used to evaluate the influence of the expiration of the options traded in bovespa on the underlying stocks with daily and weekly data, in the period of 1998 to 2001. also, the use of closing prices and maximum prices for the proposed study were compared. the results showed a significant influence of the options market on the market of the underlying asset during the expiration day, contrasting with market efficiency and implicating in the possibility of obtaining extraordinary returns at least at that time. it was also concluded that although bilateral causality of the returns existed between the markets, there was no evidence that nor the volume of titles negotiated in the option market caused the volume of titles negotiated in the market of the underlying asset nor the opposite, and that the more in-the-money was the series of options, more important became the returns calculated with the daily high prices in the two markets for effects of the proposed causality study.

Química Nova , 2003, DOI: 10.1590/S0100-40422003000600013
Abstract: dilutions of methylmetacrylate ranging between 1 and 50 ppm were obtained from a stock solution of 1 ml of monomer in 100 ml of deionised water, and were analyzed by an absorption spectrophotometer in the uv-visible. absorbance values were used to develop a calibration model based on the pls, with the aim to determine new sample concentrations. the number of latent variables used was 6, with the standard errors of calibration and prediction found to be 0,048 ml/100 ml and 0,058 ml/100 ml. the calibration model was successfully used to calculate the concentration of monomer released in water, where complete dentures were kept for one hour after polymerization.

De Biasi, Bruno;Grazziotin, Neiva A.;Hofmann Jr, Arno E.;
Revista Brasileira de Farmacognosia , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-695X2009000400013
Abstract: for the evaluation of the antimicrobial activity of ilex paraguariensis six microorganisms were used: candida albicans, escherichia coli, proteus mirabilis, pseudomonas aeruginosa, staphylococcus aureus and staphylococcus epidermidis. in disks of filter paper 10 μl of hydro-alcoholic extracts of the leaves and branches from two distinct environments were added, with and without sun exposure. the extracts have inhibited levedura, gram-negative bacillus and gram-positive cocos, with no activity to escherichia coli.
