Workflow Mining of More Perspectives of Workflow  [PDF]

Abstract: The goal of workflow mining is to obtain objective and valuable information from event logs .The research of workflow mining is of great significance for deploying new business process as well as analyzing and improving the already deployed ones. Many information systems log event data about executed tasks. Workflow mining is concerned with the derivation of a graphical process model out of this data. Currently, workflow mining research is narrowly focused on the rediscovery of control flow models. In this paper, we present workflow mining of more perspectives of workflow to broaden the scope of workflow mining. The mining model is described with GBMS’s VPML and we present the entire model’s workflow mining with the GBMS’s VPML.

Abstract: In this paper, we have listed, explained and classified the CASE database requirements. We also consider the main data manager classes,and classify them according to how well they satisfy each of the requirements. The major conclusion is that the object-oriented and extended relational DBMS's currently satisfy well most of the CASE database requirements,and that they are e-volving in the right direction so that they will provide all the power needed by CASE environments.

Abstract: Most reactive routing protocols in MANETs employ a random delay between rebroadcasting route requests (RREQ) in order to avoid "broadcast storms." However this can lead to problems such as "next hop racing" and "rebroadcast redundancy." In addition to this, existing routing protocols for MANETs usually take a single routing strategy for all flows. This may lead to inefficient use of resources. In this paper we propose a cross-layer route discovery framework (CRDF) to address these problems by exploiting the cross-layer information. CRDF solves the above problems efficiently and enables a new technique: routing strategy automation (RoSAuto). RoSAuto refers to the technique that each source node automatically decides the routing strategy based on the application requirements and each intermediate node further adapts the routing strategy so that the network resource usage can be optimized. To demonstrate the effectiveness and the efficiency of CRDF, we design and evaluate a macrobian route discovery strategy under CRDF.

Abstract: A Three-Dimensional Particle-Splitting Model for Atmospheric Dispersion (ADPS Model) which is based on the PIC method is described and tested with the analytical solutions and the data obtained in Guangzhou region in 1988 . The model introduces the nested grid capability and big particle definition , puff diffusion theorem and particle-Splitting technique under the assumption of the local time-independent and local spatial uniform. The model is used to simulate atmospheric dispersion of gaseous pollutant and also has the ability to simulate the TSP dispersion .
PCBA: A Priority-Based Competitive Broadcasting Algorithm in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

Abstract: Broadcasting operations are of great importance in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) since they are frequently executed. A straightforward broadcasting by flooding will produce serious redundancy, contention and collision, and furthermore it will result in the performance degradation of the networks. PCBA, a Priority-based Competitive Broadcasting Algorithm, is proposed in this paper to solve the above problem. In this algorithm, hosts with larger Priority Index (PI) have higher probability to rebroadcast relevant messages while some other hosts will be prevented from rebroadcasting according to the competing policy. PCBA is a distributed algorithm and will not increase communication overhead. Through the analyses and extensive simulations, the authors demonstrate that PCBA has advantages in availability and scalability. It can significantly reduce the rebroadcast redundancy. In addition, PCBA can also be further used in other applications such as routing discovery schemes, enhancing the performance.
DNA Self-assembly Model for Matrix Addition Problem

Abstract: The technology of DNA self-assembly has played an important role in the field of DNA computing and nanotechnology. Many small-scaled NP complete problems can be solved by self-assembly model. In this paper, we based on the addition of two numbers, and proposed the addition of two matrices of DNA Tile self-assembly model. The algorithm can be applied to add two elements in the corresponding positions automatically, and then in top line of the assembly appears the final results. Theoretical analysis shows that the model can solve the matrix addition operation of any order.
Upregulation of UCP2 by Adiponectin: The Involvement of Mitochondrial Superoxide and hnRNP K

Abstract: Background The adipocyte-derived hormone adiponectin elicits protective functions against fatty liver diseases and hepatic injuries at least in part by stimulating the expression of a mitochondrial inner membrane transporter, uncoupling protein 2 (UCP2). The present study was designed to investigate the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying adiponectin-induced UCP2 expression. Methodology/Principal Findnigs Mice were treated with adiponectin and/or different drug inhibitors. Parenchymal (PCs) and nonparenchymal (NPCs) cells were fractionated from the liver tissues for mitochondria isolation, Western blotting and quantitative PCR analysis. Mitochondrial superoxide production was monitored by MitoSOX staining and flow cytometry analysis. Compared to control mice, the expression of UCP2 was significantly lower in NPCs, but not PCs of adiponectin knockout mice (AKO). Both chronic and acute treatment with adiponectin selectively increased the mRNA and protein abundance of UCP2 in NPCs, especially in the enriched endothelial cell fractions. The transcription inhibitor actinomycin D could not block adiponectin-induced UCP2 expression, whereas the protein synthesis inhibitor cycloheximide inhibited the elevation of UCP2 protein but not its mRNA levels. Mitochondrial content of heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein K (hnRNP K), a nucleic acid binding protein involved in regulating mRNA transportation and stabilization, was significantly enhanced by adiponectin, which also evoked a transient elevation of mitochondrial superoxide. Rotenone, an inhibitor of mitochondrial respiratory complex I, abolished adiponectin-induced superoxide production, hnRNP K recruitment and UCP2 expression. Conclusions/Significance Mitochondrial superoxide production stimulated by adiponectin serves as a trigger to initiate the translocation of hnRNP K, which in turn promotes UCP2 expressions in liver.

Abstract: Biosorption using microorganism as biosorbent for the removal of heavy metal ions in industrial waste effluent is a useful method The biosorption capacity to Cu2+ of P putida 5 x harvested in different growth phase was investigated The experimental results illustrated that the Cu2+ adsorption capacity of P putida 5-x cultured in sulphate limiting medium (SLM) reached minimum in log growth phase, and reached maximum in late stationary growth phase to early death phase Higher concentration Cu2+ inhibited adsorption capacity of early cell to Cu2+, but no obvious affection to late cell The results of TEM analysis implied that Cu2+ was mainly accumulated on the cell surface, and late period cells adsorbed more Cu2+ on cell surface than early period cells due to late cell has more active groups of Cu2+ adsorption on cell surface than early cell.
