Monopoly and Economic Efficiency: Perspective from an Efficiency Wage Model  [PDF]
Bo Zhao
Modern Economy (ME) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/me.2011.25092
Abstract: The objective of this paper is to analyze the efficiency consequences of monopoly from the perspective of an efficiency-wage model based on Shapiro and Stiglitz (1984). An important innovation of our model is that a firm can raise the probability that a shirking worker is detected by increasing its effort or investment in the monitoring of workers. By comparing with the competitive equilibrium we find that monopoly is associated with higher unemployment rate and less monitoring. Surprisingly, however, monopoly is not necessarily dominated by perfect competition in terms of economic efficiency.
In Search of the Effects of Competition on Unemployment: Evidence from OECD Countries  [PDF]
Bo Zhao
Journal of Service Science and Management (JSSM) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/jssm.2011.44051
Abstract: This paper explores the empirical relationship between unemployment rate and product market competition in eighteen OECD countries through three sets of quantitative analyses. We find that the effect of competition on employment depends on the existing competition intensity and the relationship between the unemployment and competition appears to be inverted-N shape—in countries where existing competition intensity is either high or low, an increase in competition tends to reduce unemployment rate significantly; but for countries where existing competition intensity is moderate, intensified competition is more likely to increase unemployment rate significantly.
An Analysis of Enterprise Value Growth: A Dynamic Equilibrium Model Based on Adaptive Innovation  [PDF]
Bo Zhao, Xianglan Dong
Technology and Investment (TI) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/ti.2011.24026
Abstract: This paper combs the related knowledge of the social use value in supply from two aspects, adaptive behaveior and logic creative action. Then, the process of enterprise value growth is analyzed based on the circulation of adaptive behavior and the situation of logic creative behavior to break the long-run equilibrium, on the operation of which the paper shows the long-term equilibrium adjustment process from three procedures, and this is the dynamic process of enterprise overall value supply equilibrium. The next, new phenomenon in the dynamic equilibrium of enterprise value is further analyzed. In brief, the purpose of this paper is to build the mechanism of growth in the enterprise value on the basis of social use value.
Discussion of Forms about Social Expenditure Cycle Driven by Human Cultural Elements  [PDF]
Bo Zhao, Junguang Qu
iBusiness (IB) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/ib.2012.41007
Abstract: This paper reconstructed the framework of distribution of income and expenditure for the purpose of discussion of forms about social expenditure cycle driven by human cultural elements from new view. Then analyzed the relations between spiritual expenditure guided by cultural factors and the realization of commodity value, thus put forward the operation model of unbalanced growth of enterprise value by assuming behavior—driven in the humanities and social reality system: based on the value growth limitation achieved by goods social use value. And revealed its characteristic through empirical analysis: the change tendency between spiritual expenditure and its trend in income distribution, so this paper makes the conclusion that the goal of unbalanced growth of enterprise value is to stimulate the payment of social use value of commodity. This article has reference value in the requirement analysis research in this area.

Mathematics , 2006,
Abstract: Based on the structure of the hyperfinite $II_1$ factor, we study its Dirichlet forms which can be obtained from Dirichlet forms on $M_{2^n}(\mathbb{C})$
One noncommutative differential calculus coming from the inner derivation
Bo Zhao
Mathematics , 2006,
Abstract: We define a noncommutative differential calculus constructed from the inner derivation, then several relevant examples are showed. It is of interest to note that for certain $C^*$-algebra, this calculus is closely related to the classical one when the algebra associates a deformation parameter.
Experimental Investigation of Boundary Layer Characteristics on Blade Surface under Different Inlet Flow Conditions  [PDF]
Xiangfeng Bo, Bo Liu, Pengcheng Zhao, Zhiyuan Cao
Energy and Power Engineering (EPE) , 2010, DOI: 10.4236/epe.2010.24044
Abstract: In this paper, an experimental study is conducted on cascade boundary layer under different inlet conditions. New method is used to measure the total pressure in blade surface boundary layer directly using total pressure probe. Total pressure in both suction and pressure surfaces are acquired at different inlet conditions by changing incidence angle and inlet Mach number. In addition, a series of parameters related to boundary layer characteristics are calculated. The objective of the experiment is to investigate the influence of inlet flow conditions on them. The results indicate that influence of incidence angle is significant when other conditions are the same. Displacement thickness, momentum thickness as well as other parameters display some disciplines for variation. In contrast, inlet Mach number has only a small influence in that boundary layer becomes a litter thinner with increasing Mach number. Comparisons of experimental results with theoretical expectations demonstrate that the method in this experiment is effective and reliable.
The Summary of the Research on the Compound Braking Strategy of Four Wheel Hub Motor Drive Electric Vehicle  [PDF]
Peiteng Zhao, Huanhuan Zhang, Bo Peng
Engineering (ENG) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/eng.2016.87040
Abstract: This paper describes in detail three kinds of typical compound braking strategy of wheel motor drive electric vehicle and summarizes the current commonly used strategies based on the three typical strategies developed. In the end, a new compound braking strategy is proposed; that is, we take braking mode classify, ECE regulations and SOC value of the battery as an important reference of braking force that joins the motor braking force, as well as we join the different identification models; according to the different braking modes, the purpose is that we can apply the different braking program.
Template-Free Bipotentiostatic Deposition of Thermoelectric BixTey Nano Arrays  [PDF]
Xin Bo, Feng Wang, Chuan Zhao
Journal of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering (MSCE) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/msce.2017.51001
Abstract:
Monodispersed Bi-Tenano arrays are achieved via template-free bipotentiostatic deposition. The diameter and length of individual nanorod is ~80 nm and ~250 nm respectively. The electrodeposition process is demonstrated to follow a two-step mechanism: an instantaneous reductive potential is applied to form dispersive nuclei, then a reverse oxidative potential strips partial Bi atoms to prevent further cross-growth. Repeatedly, the nano arrays film is obtained eventually. The thermoelectric properties of the obtained Bi-Tenano arrays such as electrical resistance, carrier density, Seebeck coefficient and power factor are measured to be 2.438 × 10-4?Ω·m, 4.251 × 1020 cm-3, -25.892 μV·K-1, 2.750 × 10-6 W·m-1·K2, respectively.
The Compare and Enlightenment of Governance Model in Domestic and Overseas Commercial Bank
Bo Lv,Liming Zhao
International Journal of Business and Management , 2009, DOI: 10.5539/ijbm.v4n6p117
Abstract: Good corporation governance will facilitate commercial bank to make a scientific decision and operate in an intensivism way. Further more, the proper governance model will reduce the moral risk and the converse choice of the management. By comparing the typical governance models of different countries, we can find some principles and ways for our state-owned commercial bank to establish effective corporation governance model.
