Application of Associative Teaching Strategy in College English Vocabulary Teaching  [PDF]

Abstract: Vocabulary teaching is very important in college English teaching. Although traditional vocabulary teaching costs a lot of time and effort, the actual teaching effect is not so good. The so-called associative teaching is to deepen grammar and cultural connotation from the perspective of form, sound and meaning in its essence. This article has analyzed the problems exist in college English vocabulary teaching and proposed the application countermeasures of associative teaching strategy in college English vocabulary teaching starting from the mode and importance of associative teaching strategy, which has laid foundation for improving the efficiency of college English vocabulary teaching.
Nature of Controlling Stake, Manager Shareholding, and R&D Investment  [PDF]

Abstract: This paper makes an empirical analysis on influence relation of manager equity compensation on R&D investment under different nature of controlling stake by applying multivariate regression analysis and ordinary least square and taking China listed companies from 2007-2012 as samples. The study finds that in state controlled enterprises, management shareholding ratio has positive influence relation on R&D investment intensity; in non-state-controlled enterprises, management shareholding ratio has “range effect” influence relation on R&D investment intensity. The research of this paper can further expand existing relevant theory of corporate governance and R&D investment, and provide theoretical support and decision reference for enterprises to optimize compensation contract and correct R&D underinvestment.

Abstract: Based on the graphic theory and improved genetic algorithm,an improved genetic algorithm to search the minimum spanning trees is given . The algorithm uses binary code to represent the problem of minimum spanning trees. It designs the corresponding fitness function,operator and few controlling strategies to improve its speed and evolutionary efficiency.Only one solution can be gotten with running traditional al-gorithem atone time.The new algorithm can get a set of the solutions with higher probability in a shorter time.The experiment shows that it has a better performance than traditional methods.
Effects of Bifunctional Chain Extender on the Crystallinity and Thermal Stability of PET  [PDF]

Abstract:

Effects of bifunctional chain extender on the crystallinity and the thermal stability of PET were studied in this work. Results of Infrared substractive spectrum indicated that one oxazoline ring of 2,2’-bis(2-oxazoline) (BOZ) reacted with one carboxyl in PET to generate a blocked PET chain with an oxazoline ring, which then reacted with one carboxyl in second PET to form an extended chain. The intrinsic viscosity (IV) of extended PET would increase from 0.61 of initial PET to 0.80 when the addition of BOZ was 0.52 wt%. Furthermore, when BOZ was used with hydroxyl-addition-type chain extender 2,2’-(1,4-phenyl)bis(4H-3,1-benzoxazin-4-one) (BNZ) or chain end modifier phthalic anhydride (PA), IV of chain extended PET would be 0.83 and 0.97 respectively. DSC results showed that chain extending would result in a decrease in crystallinity of PET. Comparing with initial PET, the intrinsic viscosity loss of the chain extended products would be smaller after multi-melting processing.

Microtubule Reorganization during Mitosis and Cytokinesis: Lessons Learned from Developing Microgametophytes in Arabidopsis Thaliana

Abstract: In angiosperms, mitosis and cytokinesis take place in the absence of structurally defined microtubule-organizing centers and the underlying mechanisms are largely unknown. In the spindle and phragmoplast, microtubule reorganization depends on microtubule-interacting factors like the γ-tubulin complex. Because of their critical functions in cell division, loss-of-function mutations in the corresponding genes are often homozygous or sporophytic lethal. However, a number of mutations like gem1, gcp2, and nedd1 can be maintained in heterozygous mutants in Arabidopsis thaliana. When mutant microspores produced by a heterozygous parent undergo pollen mitosis I, they are amenable for phenotypic characterization by fluorescence microscopy. The results would allow us to pinpoint at specific functions of particular proteins in microtubule reorganization that are characteristic to specific stages of mitosis and cytokinesis. Conclusions made in the developing microgametophytes can be extrapolated to somatic cells regarding mechanisms that regulate nuclear migration, spindle pole formation, phragmoplast assembly, and cell division plane determination.

Abstract: Measurements of the X(3872) mass, $\psi(2S)$ production cross-section and $\chi_{c2}/\chi_{c1}$ production ratio using around 35$\rm pb^{-1}$ of pp collision data at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV during the 2010 LHC running period with the LHCb detector are presented.
Piecewise Interference and Stability of Branched Flow

Abstract: The defining feature of chaos is its hypersensitivity to small perturbations. However, we report a stability of branched flow against large perturbations where the classical trajectories are chaotic, showing that strong perturbations are largely ignored by the quantum dynamics. The origin of this stability is accounted for by the piecewise nature of the interference, which is largely ignored by the traditional theory of scattering. Incorporating it into our theory, we introduce the notion of piecewise classical stable paths(PCSPs). Our theory shall have implications for many different systems, from electron transport in nanostructures, light propagation in nonhomogeneous photonic structures to freak wave formations in oceans.

Experimental Investigation of Boundary Layer Characteristics on Blade Surface under Different Inlet Flow Conditions  [PDF]

Abstract: In this paper, an experimental study is conducted on cascade boundary layer under different inlet conditions. New method is used to measure the total pressure in blade surface boundary layer directly using total pressure probe. Total pressure in both suction and pressure surfaces are acquired at different inlet conditions by changing incidence angle and inlet Mach number. In addition, a series of parameters related to boundary layer characteristics are calculated. The objective of the experiment is to investigate the influence of inlet flow conditions on them. The results indicate that influence of incidence angle is significant when other conditions are the same. Displacement thickness, momentum thickness as well as other parameters display some disciplines for variation. In contrast, inlet Mach number has only a small influence in that boundary layer becomes a litter thinner with increasing Mach number. Comparisons of experimental results with theoretical expectations demonstrate that the method in this experiment is effective and reliable.

Abstract: The inherent unsteady pressure fluctuations on the rotating blade suction surface of an axial compressor were experimentally measured by directly mounting five high response miniature pressure transducers into the rotor blade along a streamline at 50% span respectively. The results show that the unsteady pressure fluctuations of rotor blade surface could be measured successfully by this means. The relations about the period, altitude of unsteady pressure with rotating speed, the discipline of pressure fluctuation along the streamwise direction were obtained.
