The Model of Mobile Knowledge Services System in the Management of Complex Cluster Project  [PDF]

Abstract: Cluster projects are projects of large-scale or with huge investment, such as Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and Shanghai 2010 Expo. A lot of on-site management works are involved in the process of cluster project management, especially the treatment of sudden accidents which would produce plenty of knowledge and experience. As cluster project on-site management spots change frequently, knowledge produced by mobile workers in the process of on-site management is hard to be saved into the knowledge repository on time. It may cause a knowledge distortion or even missing. On the other hand, in the process of cluster project management, a lot of knowledge is required by on-site workers to deal with on-site activities. However, due to lack of effective mechanisms for knowledge communion, they often face the risk of making wrong decisions. To solve the problems of knowledge management and acquisition in the process of cluster project on-site management, this paper presents a system model for mobile knowledge service.
Evaluating the Pharmacological Mechanism of Chinese Medicine Si-Wu-Tang through Multi-Level Data Integration

Abstract: Si-Wu-Tang (SWT) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula widely used for the treatments of gynecological diseases. To explore the pharmacological mechanism of SWT, we incorporated microarray data of SWT with our herbal target database TCMID to analyze the potential activity mechanism of SWT's herbal ingredients and targets. We detected 2,405 differentially expressed genes in the microarray data, 20 of 102 proteins targeted by SWT were encoded by these DEGs and can be targeted by 2 FDA-approved drugs and 39 experimental drugs. The results of pathway enrichment analysis of the 20 predicted targets were consistent with that of 2,405 differentially expressed genes, elaborating the potential pharmacological mechanisms of SWT. Further study from a perspective of protein-protein interaction (PPI) network showed that the predicted targets of SWT function cooperatively to perform their multi-target effects. We also constructed a network to combine herbs, ingredients, targets and drugs together which bridges the gap between SWT and conventional medicine, and used it to infer the potential mechanisms of herbal ingredients. Moreover, based on the hypothesis that the same or similar effects between different TCM formulae may result from targeting the same proteins, we analyzed 27 other TCM formulae which can also treat the gynecological diseases, the subsequent result provides additional insight to understand the potential mechanisms of SWT in treating amenorrhea. Our bioinformatics approach to detect the pharmacology of SWT may shed light on drug discovery for gynecological diseases and could be utilized to investigate other TCM formulae as well.
An Empirical Study of Self-regulation Mechanism in Chinese Consumers' Consciousness of Domestic Products: TheBalance between'Big Self, Small Self and Chinese Products'

Abstract: 由于来源国刻板印象、面子观等社会规范压力的存在,中国消费者国货意识的形成意味着他们在态度上实现了由“国货偏见或淡漠”向“国货偏爱”的转变,必然存在“大我-小我-国货”的态度平衡。本文借鉴相关理论,提出了爱国主义情感与国货意识形成之间的自我调控机制及其研究假设,并采用结构方程模型方法进行了实证检验。结果表明:国家自豪感、民族经济忧患意识以及国家集体自尊对“大我”需要具有显著正向影响;“大我”需要又对消费者自我肯定程度以及本土品牌满意感与认同度具有显著正向影响,对面子观、攀比和炫耀性消费心理具有显著负向影响;“大我”需要、本土品牌满意感与认同度以及自我肯定共同对国货意识的形成产生显著正向影响。
Under the influence of social norms, such as stereotypes of source countries and face-saving concepts, to form Chinese consumers' consciousness of domestic products means to transform their prejudice or indifference to a preference of domestic products. There must be a balance between big self, small self and national brand in their attitudes. On the basis of the relevant theories, this research puts forward the self-regulation mechanism between the patriotic feelings of consumers and their consciousness of domestic products, and the structural equation model approach has been implemented for the empirical test. It is concluded that national pride, hardship consciousness of national economy and national collective self-esteem have a significant positive impact on the 'big-self' motivation. The 'big-self' motivation has a significant positive impact on consumers' self-affirmation state and their satisfaction and identity of domestic brands, and an obvious negative influence on the face-saving concepts and mentality of comparisons and conspicuous consumption; the 'big-self' motivation, consumers' self-affirmation state and their satisfaction and identity of domestic brands have a significant positive effect on the formation of consciousness of domestic products
Parametric Decomposition of the Malmquist Index in Output-Oriented Distance Function: Productivity in Chinese Agriculture  [PDF]

This paper decomposes the Malmquist productivity index into several assembling components: technical change (further break down into technical change magnitude, input bias and output bias), technical efficiency change, scale efficiency change, and output-mix effect. A translog output distance function is chosen to represent the production technology and each component of the Malmquist index is computed using the estimated parameters. This parametric approach allows us to statistically test the hypothesis regarding different components of the Malmquist index and the natural of production technology. The empirical application in Chinese agriculture shows that the average productivity grows at 2 percent per year during 1978-2010. This growth is mostly driven by technical change, which is found to be neutral.

In the early 20th century, management accounting was created with Taylor’s theory of scientific management. Management accounting is a continuous improvement process that provides value added value, design, measure and manage financial and non-financial information systems for enterprises. This process directs the management actions, motivates behaviour, supports and creates cultural values, which are needed to achieve organizational strategy, tactics and business objectives. The research and application of management accounting in China started late. It started in the late 1970s and early 1980s. During the period of about 30 years, management accounting has made great progress in both theory and practice. Many facts have proved that China’s management accounting has gradually shifted from quantity and quota management to management of cost and value, and from project and department management to comprehensive and strategic management. In recent years, with the implementation of fiscal policies such as department budget, investment review and performance appraisal, “comprehensive budget”, “zero-base budget”, “budget control”, “responsibility assessment” and other modern management accounting theories and methods have been applied in various enterprises in China. But the time that management accounting is formed and developed in China is not long after all. There are many defects and deficiencies in China’s management accounting. The theoretical structure, scope of research and practical application of management accounting are to be improved and enriched, and there is still considerable space for development. The problem is more serious in small and medium-sized enterprises [1]. This paper studies the current development status of management accounting in small and medium-sized enterprises and factors that affect the management accounting in the small and medium-sized enterprises, then proposes solutions to meet the development needs of management accounting in small and medium-sized enterprises.

Abstract: The capital structure of small and medium-sized enterprises is closely related to enterprise financing. At present, the capital structure of small and medium-sized enterprises in China is unreasonable. There are disadvantages such as low proportion of internal financing, single external financing channels and excessive short-term liabilities. The theory of enterprise capital structure studies how the enterprise arranges its capital structure in its development or contraction, which means how the enterprises determine the ratio of their own capital, equity capital and debt capital in order to maximize their market value. In other words, how to find the optimal capital structure of the enterprise is the central task of the theory. This paper starts from the economic environment and characteristics of small and medium-sized enterprises, discusses the internal and external factors affecting the capital structure of small and medium-sized enterprises and puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions for optimizing capital structure of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Liquid-state fermentation with Bacillus subtilis Bs-07 to enhanceanticoagulant function of Auricularia auricula polysaccharide

Abstract: In order to improve the anticoagulant function of Auricularia auricula, Auricularia auricula polysaccharide(AAP)was converted into its derivatives by the microbial fermentation method and then polysaccharide derivatives with stronger anticoagulant activity were prepared. The optimal conditions for fermenting the polysaccharide from A. auricula were examined and the in vitro anticoagulant activities of transformed and untransformed polysaccharides were compared. Response surface tests and an orthogonal experiment indicated that the best conditions for microbial conversion of AAP3 were an AAP3 concentration of 4.0 mg/mL, a ratio of substrate(AAP3)to donor(p-hydroxybenzoic acid)of 40∶1, and a pH of 6.0. Bacillus subtilis Bs-07 was inoculated and then placed on a rotary shaker(120 r/min), followed by fermentation for 48 h at 35 ℃.The conversion rate was found to be greater than 40%. The result of in vitro anticoagulant activity showed that the transformed polysaccharide improved activated partial thromboplastin time, prothrombin time, and thrombin time values and greatly enhanced anticoagulant activity compared to the untransformed polysaccharide.

Bovine Collagen Peptides Compounds Promote the Proliferation and Differentiation of MC3T3-E1 Pre-Osteoblasts

Abstract: Objective Collagen peptides (CP) compounds, as bone health supplements, are known to play a role in the treatment of osteoporosis. However, the molecular mechanisms of this process remain unclear. This study aimed to investigate the effects of bovine CP compounds on the proliferation and differentiation of MC3T3-E1 cells. Methods Mouse pre-osteoblast cell line MC3T3-E1 subclone 4 cells were treated with bovine CP compounds. Cell proliferation was analyzed by MTT assays and the cell cycle was evaluated by flow cytometry scanning. Furthermore, MC3T3-E1 cell differentiation was analyzed at the RNA level by real-time PCR and at the protein level by western blot analysis for runt-related transcription factor 2 (Runx2), a colorimetric p-nitrophenyl phosphate assay for alkaline phosphatase (ALP), and ELISA for osteocalcin (OC). Finally, alizarin red staining for mineralization was measured using Image Software Pro Plus 6.0. Results Cell proliferation was very efficient after treatment with different concentrations of bovine CP compounds, and the best concentration was 3 mg/mL. Bovine CP compounds significantly increased the percentage of MC3T3-E1 cells in G2/S phase. Runx2 expression, ALP activity, and OC production were significantly increased after treatment with bovine CP compounds for 7 or 14 days. Quantitative analyses with alizarin red staining showed significantly increased mineralization of MC3T3-E1 cells after treatment with bovine CP compounds for 14 or 21 days. Conclusions Bovine CP compounds increased osteoblast proliferation, and played positive roles in osteoblast differentiation and mineralized bone matrix formation. Taking all the experiments together, our study indicates a molecular mechanism for the potential treatment of osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.
Effects of MTG and GSH on Human Sperm Motility and DNA Integrity during Vitrification in the Presence of Trehalose  [PDF]

Abstract: Limited information exists about the effects of antioxidants on sperm motility and DNA integrity during vitrification in humans. This study compared the effects of reduced glutathione (GSH) and monothioglycerol (MTG) at different concentrations on post-thaw sperm motility and DNA integrity after vitrification in humans using 0.25 M trehalose as a cryoprotective agent, and found that supplementation of MTG or GSH at 0.5 mM resulted in significantly higher (P < 0.05) recovery rates of post-thaw total and progressive motilities. GSH was more powerful than MTG at the same concentration in cryoprotecting sperm motility (38.9% ± 3.6% vs 32.8% ± 2.4% compared to the control 26.8% ± 2.1% in recovery rate of progressive motility), but both had no significant influence on sperm DNA integrity during vitrification. It was concluded that sperm motility is more sensitive to oxidative stress during vitrification than sperm nuclear DNA, and supplementation of MTG or GSH in vitrification medium is beneficial in cryoprotecting sperm motility.
