Efficient Compressive Multi-Focus Image Fusion  [PDF]

Abstract:

Two key points of pixel-level multi-focus image fusion are the clarity measure and the pixel coeffi- cients fusion rule. Along with different improvements on these two points, various fusion schemes have been proposed in literatures. However, the traditional clarity measures are not designed for compressive imaging measurements which are maps of source sense with random or likely ran- dom measurements matrix. This paper presents a novel efficient multi-focus image fusion frame- work for compressive imaging sensor network. Here the clarity measure of the raw compressive measurements is not obtained from the random sampling data itself but from the selected Hada- mard coefficients which can also be acquired from compressive imaging system efficiently. Then, the compressive measurements with different images are fused by selecting fusion rule. Finally, the block-based CS which coupled with iterative projection-based reconstruction is used to re- cover the fused image. Experimental results on common used testing data demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract:

In the paper, an improved algorithm is presented for Delaunay triangulation of the point-set in the plain. Based on the original algorithm, we propose the notion of removing circle. During the process of triangulation, and the circle dynamically moves, the algorithm which is simple and practical, therefore evidently accelerates the process of searching a new point, while generating a new triangle. Then it shows the effect of the algorithm in the finite element mesh.

Abstract:

The traditional Total-Variation algorithm has a good result to de-noise for noise image of small scale details, but it easily losses the details for the image with rich texture and tiny boundary. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a Sobel-TV model algorithm for image denoising. It uses TV model to de-noise and uses Sobel algorithm to control smoothness of image, which not only efficiently removes image noise but also simultaneously retail information, such as edge and texture. The experiments demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is simple, practical and generates better SNR, which is an important value to preprocess image.

The Research of Ellipse Parameter Fitting Algorithm of Ultrasonic Imaging Logging in the Casing Hole  [PDF]

Abstract: In order to estimate intensity and direction of pressure acted on oil well in horizontal, this paper proposes an algorithm of ellipse fitting based on least square method for sections of oil well with ultrasonic imaging logging data. Five parameters about ellipse corresponding to the sections of oil well are extracted and their geometry deformations and direction are estimated. The tested results show that the fitting algorithm is robust and the estimating error of parameter is small, which have very important practical significance on processing the well logging.
A New Correction Algorithm of the Eccentric Ultrasonovision Time Image in the Casing Hole  [PDF]

Abstract:

The ultrasonovision image caused by the tool eccentricity can often present two pieces of vertical black strips in the Casing Well. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a correction algorithm of time eccentricity image based on ellipse fitting algorithm. This algorithm firstly utilizes borehole diameter data to fit ellipse and compute ellipse’s center, major axis, minor axis and inclination angle and other parameters, and then uses these parameters to correct eccentrical ultrasonovision time image. The tested results show that the algorithm can accurately fit ellipse and correct the eccentrical ultrasonovision time image, which is very important practical significance on processing the well logging.

Preparation of Ni-Co Alloy Foils by Electrodeposition  [PDF]

Abstract: Electrodeposition of Ni-Co alloy foils on titanium substrate was performed in an acid chloride- sulphate bath. The influences of electrodeposition parameters such as current density, temperature, pH value, cobalt sulphate and saccharin concentration on composition and current efficiency were investigated in detail. The morphology and the microstructure of deposits were analyzed by SEM and XRD, respectively. The results indicated that the optimum parameters were current density 3-4 A/dm2, pH 2-3, temperature 40-50?C, cobalt sulphate 20 g/l and saccharin 2-3 g/l. Chemical analysis of the deposits by EDS revealed anomalous Ni-Co codeposition occured in this system. The SEM showed that hydroxide particles were not present on the surface and that fine-grain, smooth and compact Ni-Co alloy deposits were obtained. The crystallographic structures of Ni-Co alloy foils were the fcc Ni solid solution. The Ni-Co alloy foils with Co content 17.3-37.2 wt% and thickness of 20-45 μm were bright with low residual stress and super toughness.

Abstract: In this paper, a classification method based on Support Vector Machine (SVM) is given in the digital modulation signal classification. The second, fourth and sixth order cumulants of the received signals are used as classification vectors firstly, then the kernel thought is used to map the feature vector to the high dimensional feature space and the optimum separating hyperplane is constructed in space to realize signal recognition. In order to build an effective and robust SVM classifier, the radial basis kernel function is selected, one against one or one against rest of multi-class classifier is designed, and method of parameter selection using cross- validation grid is adopted. Through the experiments it can be concluded that the classifier based on SVM has high performance and is more robust.

Abstract: Effective fetal monitoring is an important guarantee for fetal health and early treatment. Fetal movement is one of critical indicators of fetal monitoring, which plays an important role in fetal health. Counting the number of fetal movement by pregnant women is a traditional method for long-term monitoring. However, there are many defects in pregnant women’s feeling count, which cannot meet the accurate requirements of modern perinatal medicine. With the rapid development of biological and electronic technology, various sensors are used to probe the fetal dynamic monitoring, but not on fetal movement. This research proposes a monitoring method for fetal movement via three electrodes. Briefly: first, three electrodes are used to extract electrical signals in the abdomen of pregnant women; second, these signals are amplified and filtered; third, A/D converter with microprocessor is used to make analog digital conversion, which can be stored in the SD card under the control of the microprocessor; finally, the SD card data are processed by computer software and the fetal movement information is analyzed.

Abstract: Diabetic retinopathy is one of the most serious complications of diabetes, which is also one of the most important causes of blindness around the world. Autofluorescence of flavin protein in retinal pigment epithelial cells is considered as a marker of early tissue damage. This study was designed to image spontaneous fluorescence of falvin proteins in fundus macular center area. The average intensity of the fluorescence signal and the characteristics of the histogram distribution were obtained and the significant differences in the fluorescence signals between the diabetic and the normal people were also compared with statistical methods, and then a rapid and non-invasive screening method and equipment for early detection of diabetic retinopathy were developed.
