Near-Infrared Spectroscopy Combined with Partial Least Squares Discriminant Analysis Applied to Identification of Liquor Brands  [PDF]

Abstract: The identification of liquor brands is very important for food safety. Most of the fake liquors are usually made into the products with the same flavor and alcohol content as regular brand, so the identification for the liquor brands with the same flavor and the same alcohol content is essential. However, it is also difficult because the components of such liquor samples are very similar. Near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy combined with partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA) was applied to identification of liquor brands with the same flavor and alcohol content. A total of 160 samples of Luzhou Laojiao liquor and 200 samples of non-Luzhou Laojiao liquor with the same flavor and alcohol content were used for identification. Samples of each type were randomly divided into the modeling and validation sets. The modeling samples were further divided into calibration and prediction sets using the Kennard-Stone algorithm to achieve uniformity and representativeness. In the modeling and validation processes based on PLS-DA method, the recognition rates of samples achieved 99.1% and 98.7%, respectively. The results show high prediction performance for the identification of liquor brands, and were obviously better than those obtained from the principal component linear discriminant analysis method. NIR spectroscopy combined with the PLS-DA method provides a quick and effective means of the discriminant analysis of liquor brands, and is also a promising tool for large-scale inspection of liquor food safety.
Towards Collaborative Master Student Talent Development with E-CARGO Model

Abstract: Education for master student is being paid great attention by colleges and universities due to its special role in high quality service to the society and great support to academic research. Unlike the undergraduate students, master students have individually different career path and the talent development should be conducted accordingly. This study proposes a collaborative talent development model to develop the professional skill of master students. In such model, master students and undergraduate students take different but coupling development activities in several R and D projects. Hierarchical talent development is realized when mentors guide master students and master students guide undergraduate students. During the collaborative talent development, some projects may have insufficient resource allocation if related students are mistakenly allocated in multiple projects for a special time slot. When too much work is assigned to some students, they may work overtime, which is not good for either the software quality or the talent development. Two algorithms based on E-CARGO model are described in this study to indicate the project resource lacking risk and the student overworking.
General holographic superconductor models with Gauss-Bonnet corrections

Abstract: We study general models for holographic superconductors in Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity. We find that different values of Gauss-Bonnet correction term and model parameters can determine the order of phase transitions and critical exponents of second-order phase transitions. Moreover we find that the size and strength of the conductivity coherence peak can be controlled. The ratios $\omega_g/Tc$ for various model parameters have also been examined.

Abstract: The molecularly imprinted technology and the self-assembly technique were used together on the calixarene surface acoustic wave (SAW) chemical sensors to detect organophosphorus compounds. 25-(thioalkyl-alkoxy)-p-tertbutylcalix[4] arene with self-assembled monolayer character was the sensitive coating of the sensors. The sensors had a special response to organophosphorus compounds and the response frequency shift of this sensor to organophosphorus compounds in 0.1 mg/m3 was 350 Hz. The response frequency increased linearly with the increase of the concentration of DMMP in the range from 0.1 to 0.6 mg/m3. The possible explanation of the interaction between the coatings and organophosphorus compounds was discussed.

Abstract: The isolation and culture of conventional detection method of salmonella can not meet the testing requirements of quick and easy detection at the grassroots level. In this study, we prepare the fluorescent nanoparticles as a marker, covalently conjugate with monoclonal antibodies of Salmonella pullorum. The whole Salmonella pullorum antigen and goat anti-mouse antibody sprayed on the nitrocellulose membranes are used as test line and control line. The fluorescence nanoparticles immune based lateral flow strips are made according to the principle of antigen-antibody immune response. The test strips may interpret results within 30 min. The results of the salmonella A, S. agona, S. chester and S. arechavaleta are positive, including, S. agona for weakly positive. After analysis, it is found that in addition to the salmonella of group A, the other positive salmonella are in group B. But it is negative of S. derby, S. rissen, and other 6
An Improved Equivalent Simulation Model for CMOS Integrated Hall Plates

Abstract: An improved equivalent simulation model for a CMOS-integrated Hall plate is described in this paper. Compared with existing models, this model covers voltage dependent non-linear effects, geometrical effects, temperature effects and packaging stress influences, and only includes a small number of physical and technological parameters. In addition, the structure of this model is relatively simple, consisting of a passive network with eight non-linear resistances, four current-controlled voltage sources and four parasitic capacitances. The model has been written in Verilog-A hardware description language and it performed successfully in a Cadence Spectre simulator. The model’s simulation results are in good agreement with the classic experimental results reported in the literature.

Abstract: Our study constructs mathematical model to predict the demands of teacher in primary school and middle school by analyzing education data of Sichuan Province, PRC, in years past. The study pointes out that, it is in urgent need to adjust the strategic layout of teacher development in Sichuan Province of China due to decrease in demand and increasingly fierce competition among teacher for compulsory education, shortage of teacher for senior high school, backward development of teacher for vocational education and serious structural contradiction. In order to keep teacher sustainable development, we must adhere to demand-oriented training orientation and mainly adopt mixed-type open training mode. Besides, establishing teacher development school, improving teacher certification system, strengthening teacher training in rural areas and minority areas and achieving all kinds of teachers’ balanced development are basic countermeasures on bettering the quality of teacher training in Sichuan Province of China. Key words: Sichuan province; Sustainable development of teachers; Strategy Résumé: Notre étude construit un modèle mathématique afin de prédire les exigences de l'enseignant dans le primaire et le collège d'enseignement en analysant les données de la province du Sichuan, en Chine, dans les années passées. L'étude souligne que, il est urgent besoin d'ajuster la configuration stratégique du développement enseignant dans la province du Sichuan à cause de la baisse de la demande et la concurrence plus féroce parmi les enseignants de l'enseignement obligatoire, la pénurie d'enseignants pour le secondaire supérieur, en arrière de développement de la Chine enseignants pour l'éducation professionnelle et sérieuse contradiction structurelle. Afin de maintenir le développement durable enseignante, nous devons adhérer à l'orientation de formation orientée vers la demande et surtout d'adopter le mode de type mixte de formation ouverte. En outre, l'établissement de l'école de perfectionnement des enseignants, l'amélioration du système de certification des enseignants, le renforcement de la formation des enseignants dans les zones rurales et les régions des minorités et de réaliser toutes sortes de développement des enseignants sont équilibrés de base sur les contre-mesures améliorant la qualité de la formation des enseignants dans la province du Sichuan de la Chine. Role of chemotherapy in stage IIb nasopharyngeal carcinoma

Abstract: The efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy and adjuvant chemotherapy on stage IIb nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) remains unclear. Conventional two-dimensional radiotherapy combined with concurrent chemotherapy can improve the overall survival, progression-free survival, recurrence-free survival, and distant metastasis-free survival of patients with stage IIb NPC. Intensity-modulated radiotherapy without concurrent chemotherapy also provides good outcomes for patients with stage IIb NPC. This article summarizes the features of stage IIb NPC and reviews the role of chemotherapy in this subgroup of NPC.
Holographic superconductor developed in BTZ black hole background with backreactions

Abstract: We develop a holographic superconductor in BTZ black hole background with backreactions. We investigate the influence of the backreaction on the condensation of the scalar hair and the dynamics of perturbation in the background spacetime. When the Breitenlohner-Freedman bound is approached, we argue that only one of two possible operators can reflect the real property of the condensation in the holographic superconductor. This argument is supported by the investigation in dynamics.
Holographic superconductor models with the Maxwell field strength corrections

Abstract: We study the effect of the quadratic field strength correction to the usual Maxwell field on the holographic dual models in the backgrounds of AdS black hole and AdS soliton. We find that in the black hole background, the higher correction to the Maxwell field makes the condensation harder to form and changes the expected relation in the gap frequency. This effect is similar to that caused by the curvature correction. However, in the soliton background we find that different from the curvature effect, the correction to the Maxwell field does not influence the holographic superconductor and insulator phase transition.
