Research on High Density Oil-Based Drilling Fluid and Application in the Southern Edge of Junggar Basin, China  [PDF]

Abstract: The southern edge of the Junggar basin has broad exploration potential. However, high-frequency complex drilling accidents in this area lead to the reduction of the average drilling speed and the extension of the drilling cycle. The main geological reason is that this area was affected by the process and developed high and steep geological structure. The nappe formation with a large dip angle and poor stability developed along faults. The major rock type of this E2-3a formation is mud-stone which has strong water sensitivity and can be hydrated and dispersed easily, which leads to the wellbore shrinkage and the borehole collapse. In order to improve the drilling speed in the southern edge of the Junggar basin and accelerate the exploration and development process, the drilling fluids associated with drilling problems in this area were investigated in this paper by combing the geological information and historical drilling records. Because of the special characteristics of this formation, it is concluded that the water-based drilling fluids previously used in this area are not suitable to solve the complex drilling conditions; a high density oil-based drilling fluid system has been developed for this area by conducting studies in the laboratory initially and being tested in the field later. In addition, its rheology, stability and pollution resistance performances were evaluated. Results show that, the rheology, the stability and pollution resistance capacities of the drilling fluid satisfy the drilling requirements. The fluid was applied in well H101 and the results show that the ROP of section 311.1 mm of the well was increased by 763% compared to the wells drilled in the same area and the total drilling time of well H101 was reduced by more than 80%, which was a historic breakthrough of the drilling speed in the southern edge.
Bringing evidence to policy to achieve health-related MDGs for all: justification and design of the EPI-4 project in China, India, Indonesia, and Vietnam

Abstract: Background: The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) are monitored using national-level statistics, which have shown substantial improvements in many countries. These statistics may be misleading, however, and may divert resources from disadvantaged populations within the same countries that are showing progress. The purpose of this article is to set out the relevance and design of the “Evidence for Policy and Implementation project (EPI-4)”. EPI-4 aims to contribute to the reduction of inequities in the achievement of health-related MDGs in China, India, Indonesia and Vietnam through the promotion of research-informed policymaking. Methods: Using a framework provided by the Commission on the Social Determinants of Health (CSDH), we compare national-level MDG targets and results, as well as their social and structural determinants, in China, India, Indonesia and Vietnam. Results: To understand country-level MDG achievements it is useful to analyze their social and structural determinants. This analysis is not sufficient, however, to understand within-country inequities. Specialized analyses are required for this purpose, as is discussion and debate of the results with policymakers, which is the aim of the EPI-4 project. Conclusion: Reducing health inequities requires sophisticated analyses to identify disadvantaged populations within and between countries, and to determine evidence-based solutions that will make a difference. The EPI-4 project hopes to contribute to this goal.
Phacoemulsification combined with goniosynechialysis in the management of chronic primary angle-closure glaucoma

Abstract: AIM: To investigate the clinical effects of phacoemulsification combined with goniosynechialysis in the management of chronic primary angle-closure glaucoma(CPACG). METHODS:Totally 57 cases(57 eyes)with CPACG and cataract were treated with phacoemulsification combined with goniosynechialysis. Intraocular pressure(IOP), anterior chamber angle, best-corrected visual acuity and central anterior chamber depth were monitored during follow-up for 8-15 months in these eyes. RESULTS: The IOPs of 52 eyes were normal without any medications. The IOPs of 4 eyes were normal with a single antiglaucomatous eye drops. The IOP of 1 eye was normal with two kinds of antiglaucomatous eye drops. The anterior chamber angles became wider and the synechial angle closure were reopened after surgery in all eyes. The best-corrected visual acuity were improved except 1eye with optic atrophy. The postoperative central anterior chamber depth became deep. CONCLUSION: Phacoemulsification combined with goniosynechialysis is able to safely effectively control IOP and also improve the visual acuity of CPACG.
Responses of Bacterial Communities in Arable Soils in a Rice-Wheat Cropping System to Different Fertilizer Regimes and Sampling Times

Abstract: Soil physicochemical properties, soil microbial biomass and bacterial community structures in a rice-wheat cropping system subjected to different fertilizer regimes were investigated in two seasons (June and October). All fertilizer regimes increased the soil microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen. Both fertilizer regime and time had a significant effect on soil physicochemical properties and bacterial community structure. The combined application of inorganic fertilizer and manure organic-inorganic fertilizer significantly enhanced the bacterial diversity in both seasons. The bacterial communities across all samples were dominated by Proteobacteria, Acidobacteria and Chloroflexi at the phylum level. Permutational multivariate analysis confirmed that both fertilizer treatment and season were significant factors in the variation of the composition of the bacterial community. Hierarchical cluster analysis based on Bray-Curtis distances further revealed that bacterial communities were separated primarily by season. The effect of fertilizer treatment is significant (P = 0.005) and accounts for 7.43% of the total variation in bacterial community. Soil nutrients (e.g., available K, total N, total P and organic matter) rather than pH showed significant correlation with the majority of abundant taxa. In conclusion, both fertilizer treatment and seasonal changes affect soil properties, microbial biomass and bacterial community structure. The application of NPK plus manure organic-inorganic fertilizer may be a sound fertilizer practice for sustainable food production.

Abstract: The program to replace the business tax with a value-added tax has been taken for three years since 2012 and it is a great success. Moreover, the transport industry is not only a basic and ser-vice one, but also a “bridging” institute between social production and consumption, wherefore it turns itself into a focus and forerunner industry of the program. Under the condition of a comprehensive program about business, tax changes to the value-added tax in the overall industry for 2016 (shortened as “program” below). This essay attempts to probe what the program would impact upon the transport industry along with the causes in respect of tax incidence and so forth in the model of DID (Difference-in-Difference model). Based on this, further relevant suggestions and reflections upon improvements and soluble schemes of the policies are going to be proposed.

Abstract:
Vendor-managed Inventory (VMI) is a new inventory operation pattern in the supply chain environment, breaking the traditional independent inventory management pattern. It is a kind of cooperative strategies that improving continuously inventory management, which aims at obtaining the lowest cost for both users and suppliers, manages inventory by suppliers under a common agreement, and continuously supervises the implementation of the agreement and amends the content of the agreement. This paper discusses the existing literature of VMI, and reviews the research of VMI from its connotation, theoretical basis and four stages of development, points out the defects and deficiencies, and puts forward suggestions for further research direction.

Abstract: As enterprise systems (ES) becomes increasingly pervasive and commoditized in organizations, its service value emerges as a critical issue. Drawing on the customer value theory, this paper studies the relationship between user participation and service value of enterprise systems in the stage of enterprise system improvement. A survey of 220 employees in a large-scale industrial enterprise was taken to investigate the relationship between them. User participation has direct positive impacts on service value in the process of system improvement. Furthermore, information service quality and non-monetary sacrifice serve as mediating variables of the relationship between user participation in system improvement and service value even after controlling for individual variables such as users’ age, education, and IT-related education. This paper contributes to the theory on whether user participation matters in the process of enterprise system improvement. The findings can also encourage managerial practitioners to exploit user participation in organizations, in order to enhance service value of enterprise system.

Abstract:
The product feature set of online reviews obtained by the current product feature extraction methods has a low coverage rate of review information. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a method of product feature extraction based on KNN algorithm. We establish the classification system of product feature set firstly. Then we extract part of product features as training set manually, and according to similarity between words and the classification system, the product features of all reviews are quickly classified and extracted. At last, the PMI algorithm is used to filter and supplement it to improve the correct rate and the review information coverage rate of product feature set. Through the examples of online clothing reviews data in the Taobao platform, we prove that this method can effectively improve the review information coverage rate of product feature set.

Abstract: DC motors are widely used in industry such as mechanics, robotics, and aerospace engineering. In this paper, we present a high performance control method for position control of DC motors. Fault-tolerant control model are also addressed to combine with neuro-robust control approach. It is shown that with the proposed control algorithms, external disturbances and coupled dynamics inherent in the system are effectively compensated using neural network unit in which no analytical estimation on the upper bound of the reconstruction error and uncertainties is needed. Simulations on various flight conditions also confirm the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

Abstract: Based on bipolar dynamic logic and bipolar quantum linear algebra, a causal theory of YinYang bipolar atom is intro-duced in a completely background independent geometry that transcends spacetime. The causal theory leads to an equilibrium-based super symmetrical quantum cosmology of negative-positive energies. It is contended that the new theory has opened an Eastern road toward quantum gravity with bipolar logical unifications of particle and wave, matter and antimatter, relativity and quantum entanglement. Information recovery after a black hole is discussed. It is shown that not only can the new theory be applied in physical worlds but also in logical, mental, social and biological worlds. Falsifiability of the theory is discussed.
