Abstract: En esta ponencia hacemos un enfoque de la ética del cuidado desde la perspectiva de la atención a la salud y al paciente desde la enfermería. Los enfoques de Milton Mayernoff y Jean Watson sirven de marco referencial al rescate de la relación enfermera paciente basados en el respeto a la dignidad de la persona como condición fundamental de la Bioética. Guilligan (1982), por su parte aborda el tema del cuidado como la acción de promover "el crecimiento y la salud, facilitando el bienestar, la dignidad, el respeto la preservación y la extensión de las potencialidades humanas dentro de las limitaciones y circunstancias de enfermedad". La dimensión ética (ethos), como el estudio de las costumbres humanas, es sustentada en el respeto de los valores fundamentales del hombre en relación con su contexto, haciendo énfasis en los valores y la dignidad.
Modeling and simulation of a triple effect evaporator for the concentration of natural juices

Abstract: the concentration process for evaporation on each effect was modeled in a system of nine differential equations and thirteen algebraic equations which allowed solving the system using the fourth order runge-kutta numeric method on the level, composition and temperature variables using a simulation program designed on visual basic 6.0 and experimental data from of peach juice concentration process. regarding primary conditions, in the effect one was used liquid level equivalent to 0.56m, feeding composition: 0.028° brix and temperature on the effect one: 32°c for starting. feeding composition variation to effect one was varied only within a rank of 2-5° brix, with a manometric pressure for the effect one of 34.5kpa, effect two and three vacuum pressure of 46.7kpa and 60.0kpa. the simulation program reports values in the temperature variables, liquid level and concentrated fluid composition, steam flowing and concentrated fluids, with a maximum relative error of 3.55% in the temperature variable and 9.75% in the concentration variable for the effect three.

Abstract: Son expuestas algunas de las definiciones más frecuentemente asignadas al concepto riesgo y su relación con otros términos, como "peligro" y "factores de riesgo". Se plantean diferentes dimensiones del riesgo con énfasis en su relación con el enfoque de las investigaciones sobre el tema y se subrayan las implicaciones que tiene para la investigación científica asumir una determinada definición del riesgo. Abstract: En el diagnóstico clínico y el tratamiento de pacientes, muchos parámetros biológicos deben ser medidos y monitoreados. Los sensores son los elementos encargados de adquirir estas se ales para su futuro procesamiento. Estos dispositivos se comunicaran usualmente de forma individual con el dispositivo de monitoreo a través de cables, esto limita mucho la movilidad del paciente y del personal médico. Introducir un sistema de red inalámbrica para sensores resultaría, por tanto, en una mayor flexibilidad tanto para el paciente como para el médico. En este trabajo se propone la utilización del estándar de radio 802.15.4 para la implementación de una red de sensores biomédicos. Para ello se construye un módulo de hardware de dimensiones muy peque as. Con este módulo se realizan pruebas de alcance de radio, mediciones de demora de transmisión de paquete y eficiencia en la transmisión.
Toward a Systemic Notion of Information: Practical Consequences

Abstract: Our main purpose in this paper is to start a process of a systemic definition of the notion of information and to provide some initial practical consequences of it. We will try to do that providing: 1) a conceptual definition, following Ackoff's (1962) description and method of such a kind of definition, and 2) following Peirce's (1931-5,1958) conception of "meaning", where the practical consequences should be included. To our knowledge, no attempt has been done up to the present neither to find a Peircean meaning to the notion of information, nor to start a process of describing a systemic notion of information. Consequently, we will try to integrate the different definitions made on information. But to integrate we should first differentiate what is to be integrated. Thus, we will typify information conceptions in subjective and objective, providing brief description and analysis of each type, integrating them in the context of a systemic notion of information, and drawing the respective pragmatic consequences, as required by Peirce, for any meaning description, and by a pragmatic-teleological systemic epistemology (Churchmann, 1971)

Abstract: El proceso de concentración por evaporación para cada efecto fue modelado en un sistema de nueve ecuaciones diferenciales y trece ecuaciones algebraicas por cada efecto que permitió resolver el sistema por el método numérico de Runge-Kutta de cuarto orden en las variables de nivel, composición y temperatura a través de un programa de simulación dise ado y elaborado en el lenguaje de programación de Visual Basic 6.0, utilizando datos experimentales de un proceso de concentración de jugo de durazno. Como condiciones iniciales o de borde en el efecto 1 se utilizo nivel del líquido equivalente a 0.56 m, composición de alimentación de 0.028°Brix y temperatura en el efecto uno de 32°C para el arranque. En el simulador solo se varía la composición de alimentación al efecto 1 en un rango de 2-5°Brix, con presión manométrica para el efecto 1 de 34.5 KPa, efecto 2 y 3 presiones de vacío de 46.7KPa y 60.0 KPa. El programa de simulación reporta valores en las variables de temperatura, nivel de líquido, composición del fluido, flujos de vapor y líquido concentrado, se alcanzó un error relativo máximo de 3.55% en la variable de temperatura y de 9.75% en la variable de concentración para el efecto 3. Abstract: A field experiment was conducted to evaluate the integrated nutrients effect on growth, yield and quality of maize (Zea mays L.) during spring, 2009, at the Agronomic Research Area, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. The ex-periment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) having three replications with following treat-ments: T1 (control), T2(recommended NPK @ 200-120-125 kg ha-1), T3 [single spray of multinutrient (a solution mixture of micronutrients i.e; Zn = 2%, Fe = 1%, B = 1%, Mn = 1%, Cu = 0.2% and macronutrients N = 1%, K2O = 2%, S = 2%) @ 1.25Lha-1], T4 (recommended NPK @ 200-120-125 kg ha-1 + single spray of multinutrient @ 1.25L ha-1), T5 (recom-mended NPK @ 200-120-125 kg ha-1 + two spray of multinutrient @1.25Lha-1) and T6 (recommended NPK @ 200-120-125 kg ha-1+ three spray of multinutrient @ 1.25Lha-1).The recommended dose of NPK in addition with single spray of Multi-nutrients substationally improved all growth parameters, ear characteristics and also enhanced macronutrients use efficiency up to 11.5% which induced significant increase in grain yield as compared to control and also in the treatment where recommended dose of NPK was applied alone. The quality parameter of maize (oil contents) significantly improved by foliar application of multinutrients solution but recommended dose of fertilizer in addition to single spray of Multi-nutrients was economical.

Abstract: When acute appendicitis is present and lately treated, further complications will occur against patients. This case report describes an unusual presentation of acute appendicitis in a young patient and demonstrates a unique late compli- cation of perforated appendicitis. A 15 year old female acute appendicitis patient had lapara- tomy accompanied systemic inflammatory re- sponse syndrome (SIRS) symptoms. After treatment of 6 days in the intensive care unit (ICU), the patient was healed. We emphasize the importance of early treatment for acute appen- dicitis and septic complications.
