Open Journal of Respiratory Diseases (OJRD) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/ojrd.2018.83004
Abstract: Intrathoracic mesothelial cysts are congenital lesions due to an abnormal development of the pericardial coelom. They are generally unilocular and can develop in various sites. We describe a case of multicystic lesions in the anterior mediastinum of a 53-year-old woman discovered in a context of an encysted pleural effusion. Chest computed tomography (CT) scan revealed multiple cystic lesions in the anterior and posterior mediastinum. Surgery was carried out and histopathology and immunohistochemistry confirmed the diagnosis of multiple coelomic cysts of the mediastinum.

Open Journal of Respiratory Diseases (OJRD) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/ojrd.2018.83005
Abstract: Papilloma is a rare benign tumor. Laryngeal location is the most frequent. The bronchial involvement remains unusual. It represents 0.38% of pulmonary tumors. We report the case of a 39-year-old, smoker man, who consulted for a cough following during six months with persistent radiological opacity despite antibiotic treatment. The physical examination was without particularities. Flexible bronchoscopy revealed a swollen endobronchial lesion completely obstructing the orifice of the intermediate trunk. Bronchial biopsies at this level showed inflammatory mucosa. The chest CT scan objectified an endobronchial tissular mass in the intermediate trunk. Pulmonary neoplasia was suspected. Diagnostic and therapeutic surgery was performed. Histopathological examination concluded to an endobronchial squamous papilloma.
How to differentiate mucinous eccrine carcinoma from cutaneous metastasis of breast carcinoma?

Our Dermatology Online , 2012,
Abstract: ccrine skin tumors are rare and represent only 0,05% of all cutaneaous neoplasms. They represent a pitfall especially with cutaneous metastases of carcinoma which are more frequent. We report the case of a 60-year-old woman presented with a frontal scalp mass whose histologic and immunohistochemical features concluded initially to a cutaneous metastasis of breast carcinoma. The diagnosis was reviewed because of the absence of a breast lesion. The final diagnosis was primary sweet gland carcinoma. Histologic distinction between cutaneous metastatic breast carcinoma and primary cutaneous adnexal neoplasms can be very challenging or even impossible. This case illustrates this difficulty and puts emphasis on the necessity of keeping in mind the distinctive features between these two entities.
Poroid hidradenoma: a case report

Our Dermatology Online , 2012,
Abstract: Introduction: Poroid hidradenoma is a variant of the eccrine poroma that belongs to the group of poroid neoplasm. It presents architectural features of hidradenoma and cytologic features of poroid neoplasm. To date, very few cases of this entity have been reported in the literature.Case presentation: An eighty-one-year-old man whose past medical history was consistent for a Parkinson’s disease presented with a presternal nodular mass. Physical examination revealed a 6 cm, painless, and pedunculated presternal tumefaction. Chest Ultrasound examination revealed a heterogeneous tumor with anechoic areas and cystic component. CT-scan showed a presternal subcutaneous mass presenting a dual component sloid and cystic with stigmates of recent bleeding. A total surgical excision was performed and histologic examination concluded to a poroid hidredenoma. Conclusion: Poroid hidradenoma is the newest variant added to poroid neoplasm. Histologic characteristics may be challenging necessitating a thorough sampling. Treatment is based on surgical resection in order to to prevent from a possible recurrence or malignant transformation.

Energy-Efficient and Reliable Transport Protocols for Wireless Sensor Networks: State-of-Art  [PDF]
Ahmed Ayadi
Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/wsn.2011.33011
Abstract: New wireless sensor network applications (e.g., military surveillance) require higher reliability than a simple best effort service could provide. Classical reliable transport protocols like Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) are not well suited for wireless sensor networks due to both the characteristics of the network nodes (low computing power, strong energy constraints) and those of the main applications running on those nodes (low data rates). Recent researches present new transport protocols for wireless sensor networks providing various type of reliability and using new mechanisms for loss detection and recovery, and congestion control. This paper presents a survey on reliable transport protocol for WSNs.
Heterogeneous Fleet Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows and Nonlinearly Penalized Delays
Kaddour Sadouni
Journal of Applied Sciences , 2006,
Abstract: This study presents a tabu search heuristic for solving Heterogeneous Fleet Vehicle Routing Problems with Time windows and Nonlinearly Penalized Delays (HFVRPTWNLPD) in distribution systems. The HFVRPTWNPD can be justified in practice and includes the well-known Vehicle Routing Problem with time windows (VRPTW) as a special case. For HFVRPTWNPD problems the objective cost function is expressed as the weighted sum of the number vehicles used, the total distance travelled and the nonlinear penalty function of delays. Preliminary computational results on well known benchmark test problems indicate that our heuristic is robust and can handle medium to large problems.
Molecular modeling of the TSR domain of R-spondin 4
Leila Ayadi
Bioinformation , 2008,
Abstract: R-spondin 4 is a secreted protein mainly associated with embryonic nail development. R-spondins have been recently identified as heparin-binding proteins with high affinity. Proteoglycan binding has been associated with both the TSR and the C terminal basic amino acid rich domains. In this paper, molecular modeling techniques were used to construct the model of R-spondin 4 TSR domain based on the structure of the F-spondin TSR domain 4 (30-40% sequence identity). Beside a positively charged surface in the TSR domain, presence of the basic amino acid rich domain which could forms a continuous heparin binding surface may explain the high affinity of R-spondins for heparin. Our results provide a framework for understanding the possible regulatory role of heparin in R-spondins signalling.
Technological and organizational preconditions to Internet Banking implementation: Case of a Tunisian bank
Achraf AYADI
Journal of Internet Banking and Commerce , 2006,
Abstract: This paper explores the importance of some prerequisite factors in developing Internet Banking (IB) services. According to the emergent case of Web services in the Tunisian banking sector, two types of preconditions are investigated: technological preconditions and organizational preconditions. Based on a case study, a set of qualitative and quantitative research methods were carried out beside the bank direction, the commercial staff and subscribed customers to IB services. The research illustrates that centralised architectures, fragmented Information Systems (IS), organizational rigidity and disregarding user's implication could be factors of slowness (or failure) in implementing IB.
Equipartition of energy for the wave equation associated to the Dunkl-Cherednik Laplacian
Fatma Ayadi
Mathematics , 2008,
Abstract: This paper is concerned with energy properties of the wave equation associated to the Dunkl-Cherednik Laplacian. We establish the conservation of the total energy, the strict equipartition of energy under suitable assumptions and the asymptotic equipartition in the general case.
