Female Sexual Dysfunction in Elfayoum Governorate  [PDF]

Abstract: Introduction: female sexual dysfunction (FSD) is a complex and poorly understood condition that affects females of all ages. Female sexual dysfunction has been a cyclic rather than a linear process that emphasizes biologic, psychological, social, hormonal, and environmental factors. Female sexual dysfunction is a high prevalent disorder reaching up to 60% of females with reported higher levels in postmenopausal. Aim of the work: was to estimate prevalence of FSD and its related factors in Elfayoum city. Subject and Method: This study was a cross sectional descriptive study conducted in Elfayoum city included 508 married females (above 21 years old) during the period from September 2016 to March 2017. Results: The prevalence of FSD among studied group was 61.2% versus 38.8% had normal sexual function, desire dysfunction was 42.3%, arousal dysfunction was 39.2%, lubrication dysfunction was 25%, orgasm dysfunction was 58.5%, satisfaction dysfunction was 58.1% and pain was 43.3%. There was statistically significant negative correlation between Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) score and each of female and husband age, duration of marriage, and number of children. Low mean of FSFI score was found among females with irregular menstrual cycle, using contraceptive, not pregnant, mutilated and females who’s their husband had erectile or ejaculation disorders. Conclusion and recommendation: High prevalence of FSD among females in Elfayoum governorate. Many factors are found to affect FSD as FGM, each of female and husband age, duration of marriage, and number of children.
Parallel Graph Transformation based on Merged Approach

Abstract: Graph transformation is one of the key concepts in graph grammar. In order to accelerate the graph transformation, the concept of parallel graph transformation has been proposed by different tools such as AGG tool. The theory of parallel graph transformation used by AGG just allows clarifying the concepts of conflict and dependency between the transformation rules. This work proposes an approach of parallel graph transformations which enables dependent transformation rules to be executed in parallel.
Energy-Efficient and Coverage-Aware Clustering in Wireless Sensor Networks  [PDF]

Abstract: Energy efficiency and sensing coverage are essential metrics for enhancing the lifetime and the utilization of wireless sensor networks. Many protocols have been developed to address these issues, among which, clustering is considered a key technique in minimizing the consumed energy. However, few clustering protocols address the sensing coverage metric. This paper proposes a general framework that addresses both metrics for clustering algorithms in wireless sensor networks. The proposed framework is based on applying the principles of Virtual Field Force on each cluster within the network in order to move the sensor nodes towards proper locations that maximize the sensing coverage and minimize the transmitted energy. Two types of virtual forces are used: an attractive force that moves the nodes towards the cluster head in order to reduce the energy used for communication and a repulsive force that moves the overlapping nodes away from each other such that their sensing coverage is maximized. The performance of the proposed mechanism was evaluated by applying it to the well-known LEACH clustering algorithm. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed mechanism improves the performance of the LEACH protocol considerably in terms of the achieved sensing coverage, and the network lifetime.
Systematic vs. Non-Systematic Search for 3D Aircraft Conflict Resolution  [PDF]

Abstract: A conflict is an event in which two or more aircraft experience a loss of minimum separation. In this paper, we formulate the problem of solving conflicts arising among several aircraft moving in a shared airspace as a Constraint Satisfaction Problem (CSP). The constraint satisfaction problem being NP-complete, the algorithms developed to solve it have been of two types: non-systematic and systematic search methods. In this paper, we have considered a breakout algorithm as an example of non-systematic search methods and a backtracking procedure that maintains Arc Consistency (MAC) as an example of systematic search methods. The performance of these algorithms was compared experimentally and the Breakout algorithm is shown to be clearly superior.
Rockfall Hazard in an Old Abandoned Aggregate Quarry in the City of Tétouan, Morocco  [PDF]

Quarries are places of high instability due to blastings, if left without rehabilitation they become sites of great risk of rockfall, which are the case of the Carian quarry, a small abandoned aggregate quarry, which turned into a slum neighborhood in the north western part of the city of Tétouan, and that has a long history of rockfall incidents since it was shut down in the 60’s. Using rockmass characterization techniques, kinematic study and stability analysis, it was confirmed that many instability mechanisms are found on the walls of the quarry and cause a high risk of rockfall during the rain season, especially that the study area is inhabited. Rockfall trajectory modelling techniques allow the calculation of vertical distribution of rocks falling from the quarry’s walls along different profiles in the area and therefore the determination of a safety perimeter from the quarry wall.

Abstract: [Fran ais] Les démarches d’évaluation de l’enseignement par les étudiants se heurtent à des difficultés de mise en uvre qui nuisent à leur efficacité. La procédure de collecte et de traitement de l’information, et de consultation des résultats est en particulier très lourde à gérer quand elle concerne plusieurs milliers d’étudiants, plusieurs centaines d’enseignants et de nombreuses formations différentes. Le système Qualiense est un logiciel d’évaluation des enseignements fonctionnant sur Internet et sécurisé, mis en place pour optimiser le processus d’évaluation. L’utilisation des réseaux permet de mettre à disposition et de gérer les questionnaires en temps réel. Les résultats sont consultables sous forme d’indicateurs et de tableaux de bord, mais aussi de réponses aux questions ouvertes. Le système est aujourd’hui utilisé par l’ensemble des composantes de l’Université d’Auvergne (France), qui compte environ 10 000 étudiants. [English] Specific difficulties affect the efficiency and effectiveness of student evaluations of teaching. In particular data collection, analysis and reporting involves complex management when several hundred or thousand students are concerned and several hundred teachers and different formations. Now that new technologies are in place, the question is how to use them as a tool for optimising the process. The Qualiense system is an assessment program designed to serve both the institution and the individuals concerned. It is a software operating on the Internet. Using the network means being able to provide questionnaires immediately and to manage them readily. Indicators and trend charts enable comparison of the results. Lastly, qualitative data are available through the answers to open-ended questions. The profiles make the system secure but results obtained immediately offer many perspectives for the development of teaching practices. The system is now extended to the whole University d’Auvergne (France) with 10,000 students involved.
