Journal of Agricultural Chemistry and Environment (JACEN) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/jacen.2014.31002
Abstract: The genus Tagetes is a possible source of essential oils for the biorational control of pests and diseases in Mexico. The aim of the present study was to assess the distance between plants (PD; 15 × 80, 30 × 80 and 60 × 80 cm) and urea fertilization (0, 60 and 120 kg·he-1 N) for biomass production and essential oil in Tagetes terniflora HBK. Oil was obtained by the aerial part hydro-distillation and its chemical composition was analyzed by gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry. Factors N, PD and their interaction did not change plant height or the number of branches per plant; however, PD factor modified fresh tissue (FW) and dry tissue (DW) weights and the amount of oil per plant (p ≤ 0.05) which represent a good biomass production (30 to 72.5 ton·he-1 FW, 11 to 27 ton·he-1 DW) and oil producing (168 to 383 L·he-1 ) potential in the field. Urea did not have effect on both biomass and oil response per plant but interaction of 15 x 80 DP and 120 N could favor higher biomass and oil production potential (78 ton FW, 28 ton·he-1 DW and 608 L·he-1 , respectively). Essential oil yield varied from 0.3 to 2.1% according to the management conditions. A total of 11 major compounds were identified in essential oil, the relative quantity was constant in different agronomic management factors: E- tagetone (22%), cistagetenone (20.4%), transtagetenone (20.4%), dihydrotagetone (13.4%) and cis-β-ocimene (10.3%), trans-β-ocimene (5.0%), propenyl anisole (4.3%), sphatulenole (1.1%), allyl anisole (0.7%), Z-tagetone (0.5%) and limonene (0.5%).
Morató, Arturo Rodríguez;
Sociedade e Estado , 2005, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-69922005000200005
Abstract: after its inception in the 1960's and until the economic turn of the 1980's, the cutural policy has completed a cycle of increasing debasement. however, at the same time, this evolution has also entailed an important enhancement of the local cultural policy. afterwards, this trend has been even more exacerbated by the entrepreneurial turn of the urban policy, which has turned culture into a central element of the new strategies of territorial development. thanks to this impulse, a new model of cultural policy is lately taking shape in the local sphere substituting the declining classical paradigm of cultural policy of national scope. the article shows the logic of this substitution process and examines, in particular, the cultural policy recreation process in the local sphere. this analysis focuses on the case of barcelona, which is an exemplary case in the this regard.

Cuadernos de Gestión , 2004,
Abstract: The present work aims at the diagnosis of the capacities of firms from Biscay/Spain to absorb results of R+D generated by universities and other research centres. First of all, in order to identify core characteristics of firms linked to the above mentioned capacity of absorbing results from R+D, an examination of the current theoretical and empirical literature on this issue has been carried out.The work continues with analysing the impact of those characteristic by means of two random samples: One about 26 firms characterized by their advanced management methods; another deals with firms with more than 10 employees. Finally, those characteristics are identified where firms from Biscay appears satisfactorily capacitated for absorbing external results of R+D and those, that ought to be enhanced because they still have not reached levels satisfactory.
Serious Game Design Process, Study Case: Sixth Grade Math  [PDF]
Francisco J. álvarez-Rodríguez, Arturo Barajas-Saavedra, Jaime Mu?oz-Arteaga
Creative Education (CE) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/ce.2014.59077
Abstract:

The way in which students are being educated is evolving; the traditional teaching paradigm, where formal and non-formal education are treated as a mutually exclusive, must be changed and turned into a new learning paradigm where formal and non-formal education are treated as one in order to achieve a meaningful and relevant learning. In Mexico, it is clear that educational level of students is barely improving in elementary school students, considering basic topics on Math, Science, and Spanish. There is a need to integrate more efficient mechanisms, like serious video games, in non-formal environment for students and increase learning opportunities beyond the classroom. Therefore, it is envisaged as a possibility, the large scale production of video games to address this problematic. But, a reason why it is not often carried out the large scale development of digital resources is the lack of well-defined development processes and documented experiences. This research will provide solution to the lack of well-defined development processes for large scale production of serious video games, presenting a proposal for a development process with fundamentals in software engineering. The overall findings of the research show that there is an improvement in the knowledge acquisition of the students.

Optimización del Algoritmo Genético para la Solución Integral de Enrutamiento en Redes Fotónicas
Rodríguez,Arturo B; Saavedra,Fideromo;
Información tecnológica , 2010, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-07642010000300014
Abstract: in presented article, it looks for a new form to solve to the problem of routing and allocation of wavelength in networks photons (rwa - routing wavelength assignement). this problem has been solved dividing it in 2 subproblems, and applying to different algorithms optimizers, among them are the genetic algorithms, he himself who is used in this investigation, nevertheless has seted out the solution without dividing it, solving it of integral way. the investigation analyzes some parameters of the genetic algorithms, and they are optimized for the later use in the resolution of problem rwa. for it, simulations were made in scenes of dynamic traffic in network nsfnet. it was managed to determine the position of the reproduction, the size of reproduction and the loss of life, that optimizes the algorithm, in this work was not used mutation, due to its little relevance in improving the algorithm. later simulations of the optimized algorithm were made in the same network, under dynamic traffic, these results will be shown in a next publication.

La Sanidad Militar Cubana y el Derecho Internacional Humanitario
Rodríguez Llópiz,Pedro Arturo;
Revista Cubana de Medicina Militar , 2003,
Abstract: this paper is aimed at contributing to the knowledge of the humanitarian, ethical and patriotic traditions of the combatants of the military health corps of the cuban patriots during the ten years' war and of the liberating army as the armed brace initiator of the cuban revolution in 1868 that always respect the most universal laws relating to the wounded, sick, prisioners and civil population involved in one way or another in the armed conflict between the government of the republic in arms and the spanish colonial regimen. a historical investigation was made to study the upsurge and development of the internaltional humanitarian law and of military health in cuba in the context of the ten years' war, starting from the honorable position of carlos manuel de céspedes, the father of the homeland and the way he managed the situation. the precepts that have characterized the principles of the international humanitarian law since the initial time that marked the birth of the cuban nation are stressed. it is underlined the need of conveying these values and knowledge to our military medical professionals and students so as to contribute to the present battle of ideas.
In the lot located at the Cra. 5 No 2-41 of Madrid, Cundinamarca an archaeological site was rescued, consisting in a funerary mound and a ceremonial complex. The fi rst one consisted in a collective burial of 11 spread individuals, excepting #11 that was found in lateral right position with its head looking towards the east; it suffered of Treponemathosis and it has a date of 150±20 b.C. The funerary offerings consisted in ceramic fragments of the Herrera period and animal parts. The dolichocephaly, the sturdiness degree and the dental attrition approaches us to the preceramic groups (Tequendama, Sueva, Checua, Chía) and early planters (Aguazuque) of the Bogotá savannah. The ceremonial complex consisted of a channel and pyramidal structures to the west and conical to the east heading between 22-25° NW, with three individual burials (one of them with cephalic deformation), a human foot articulated over a metate and a possible dwelling base of palaphytic type over the borders of the ancient lagoon. In here, Herrera type ceramic and bovid horns as presents, marking the site importance until the colonial era.
