Green’s Function Technique and Global Optimization in Reconstruction of Elliptic Objects in the Regular Triangle  [PDF]
Antonio Scalia, Mezhlum A. Sumbatyan
Applied Mathematics (AM) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/am.2011.23034
Abstract: The reconstruction problem for elliptic voids located in the regular (equilateral) triangle is studied. A known point source is applied to the boundary of the domain, and it is assumed that the input data is obtained from the free-surface input data over a certain finite-length interval of the outer boundary. In the case when the boundary contour of the internal object is unknown, we propose a new algorithm to reconstruct its position and size on the basis of the input data. The key specific character of the proposed method is the construction of a special explicit-form Green's function satisfying the boundary condition over the outer boundary of the triangular domain. Some numerical examples demonstrate good stability of the proposed algorithm.
Quantization and Stable Attractors in a DissipativeOrbital Motion  [PDF]
Daniel L. Nascimento, Antonio L. A. Fonseca
Journal of Modern Physics (JMP) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/jmp.2011.24030
Abstract: We present a method for determining the motion of an electron in a hydrogen atom, which starts from a field Lagrangean foundation for non-conservative systems that can exhibit chaotic behavior. As a consequence, the problem of the formation of the atom becomes the problem of finding the possible stable orbital attractors and the associated transition paths through which the electron mechanical energy varies continuously until a stable energy state is reached.
Analysis of Formation in Communicative Competences for the Medical Act in Universidad de Antioquia Medicine School Undergraduate Program  [PDF]
José Antonio García Pereá?ez
Journal of Biosciences and Medicines (JBM) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/jbm.2016.412012
Abstract: This research study was conducted at the undergraduate program of the Medicine Faculty of Universidad de Antioquia. Its main purpose was to analyze the training in communication skills for the medical act. To this purpose, a triangulation between a representative survey of the students, some interviews and focal groups between students and professors, and an analysis of a curricular document on the contents of communication as a generic skill were done. This study allowed us to conclude that the definition of generic competence in communication cannot be established without the participation of the medicine curriculum actors, and that it is paramount to integrate this learning to this university program. The result of the present study is a proposal to include the communicative competence for the medical act in the curriculum of the Medicine Faculty of Universidad de Antioquia.
Ethical and Legal Arguments about Telemedicine in Colombia  [PDF]
José Antonio García Pereá?ez
Journal of Computer and Communications (JCC) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/jcc.2017.53013
This paper makes a reflection of humanistic approach about telemedicine in the cyber culture context, including a debate on the “digital era” and the nature of human communication. It is aimed at interpreting the influence of the technological era in the communication between the emitting subjects and receptors that emerge from communicative relations in telemedicine. This is the result of the analysis on legitimacy and legality of Communication for Health among individuals interacting in the cyberspace, mediated and conceived by modern technologies such as computer science, telematics and cybernetics. Telemedicine, according to ethical and legal proposals, can be subject of criticism because of the displacement of the medical doctor-patient relationship. Bigger distance and asymmetries in the medical act are established, being exposed to the inter-subjective relations of the cyberspace that immerses the patient into a deeper vulnerability, mediated by the technology that overflows him. A literature review through the empirical-analytical method, aimed at describing the impact of telemedicine in users, was done. This technology of recent use in Colombia promises to become a tool to support the solution of some health problems. Its development must be linked to the use of regulations that involve the “must be”, and its application must be decided according to legal principles that take on responsibility on medical doctors and technicians. The inevitable development of medical technology and its application in telemedicine may lead to the vulnerability of ethical principles, and consequently, the harm and misinterpretation of the medical act.
The Consequences of a Forced Migration: The Return Home of WWII American Veterans  [PDF]
Isabel María García Conesa, Antonio Daniel Juan Rubio
Advances in Historical Studies (AHS) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/ahs.2016.51004
Abstract: The end of the Second World War was a serious problem of rehabilitation, not only for the country but also for the huge mass of veterans returning home after the military conflict. And in order to avoid the unrest and social tension that followed the First World War, the US administration sled firstly by President Franklin D. Roosevelt and secondly by Harry Truman were commissioned to design a specific plan for rehabilitation and reintegration to civilian life of veterans. The Service Readjustment Act of 1944, informally known as the G. I. Bill, was an important law that provided a range of benefits for returning veterans of World War II. This law was passed in June 1944 in the United States, turning further into Public Law 78-346, being available to all veterans who served on active duty during the war years. Maybe it was the most representative and striking measure of the many related ones which were rushed by the US administration. Throughout this article we will focus primarily on the major consequences or repercussions that the adoption of the various measures undertaken had on American society in the late 40s, especially after the return home of the Second World War veterans.
O Plano nacional de educa??o e as tecnologias da informa??o e comunica??o
Zuin, Antonio A. S.;
Educa??o & Sociedade , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-73302010000300016
Abstract: technology holds an increasingly essential position in today's society: it can no longer be defined as the sum of new operational techniques. it has become a modus vivendi, a social process that determines both the identity configurations of individuals and the educational process. in this context, the authors reflect on the way information and communication technologies, the so called ict, were treated in the final resolution of the national conference of education whose notes will serve as a basis to elaborate the guidelines and action strategies of the new 2011-2020 national plan for education.
Educa??o a distancia ou educa??o distante?O Programa Universidade Aberta do Brasil, o tutor e o professor virtual
Zuin, Antonio A. S.;
Educa??o & Sociedade , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-73302006000300014
Abstract: using technological resources to develop the educational process of professionals in the area of education currently raises a few questions as: how can these resources be used in the process? how does the relation between pedagogical authority and authoritarianism develop in an environment of virtual learning? this paper aims at pondering these questions through an analysis of the program "open university of brazil" mainly focused on the role of the tutor and of the so called "virtual teachers" in the educational process of these future distance-trained professionals.
Sobre a atualidade dos tabus com rela??o aos professores
Zuin, Antonio A. S.;
Educa??o & Sociedade , 2003, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-73302003000200005
Abstract: this paper intends to argue that the current averse representations students have of their teachers, the so called taboos, follow from the symbolic violence teachers exert on them, mainly in the university. if this violent attitude initially causes a sensation of discomfort, it is soon identified as something "inherent" to the teaching and learning process. therefore, it is often highly prized by teachers and by the students who identify themselves with the professor as an aggressor, while these students look for opportunities to let go of the resentment generated by their daily relationships to their masters.

Bicentenario: reflexiones sobre nacimiento, desarrollo y caída de un sistema político
Martino,Antonio A.;
Revista SAAP , 2011,
Abstract: the celebration of the bicentenary is a good opportunity to reflect on the birth, development and collapse of a political system. regarding the latter there is not considerable literature and i think that is one of the reasons for which the fundamental political changes in history, as the implosion soviet world, have taken us off guard. the general system theory is a suitable methodology for to anticipate a possible ending. it is used here in its classic form to analyze the argentine political system. the purpose of this paper is to draw attention to the system's functional problems that have not been resolved so far. a model that consists on the description of the composition (c), environment (e), structure (s) and mechanism (m) of the system will be constructed. the mechanism is the collection of processes that occur within a system and makes it change in any way.
