Scardua, Anderson;Souza Filho, Edson Alves de;
Psicologia & Sociedade , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-71822010000200018
Abstract: the aim of this study was to present a method of analysis for social representations (sr) based on grammatical elements. this method was described through a research about sr of music among musicians (n=57) and listeners (n=234) from the city rio de janeiro. questions were asked about the definition of music and the description of likes and dislikes regarding music production and consumption. drawing on grammatical/thematic content analysis many categories were described and clustered in three groups according to the prevalence of grammatical elements: descriptive/objective - based on nouns; effects/uses - prevalence of verbs and expressions (e.g. "it is to", "it makes me"); and rhetorical - based on adverbs and adjectives. these categories allowed us to observe more specifically the processes of objectivation (descriptive), and anchoring (effects/uses), as well as attitudinal elements (rhetorical). further, the process of analysis, and its implications and limits were discussed.

Psicologia: Reflex?o e Crítica , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-79722006000300017
Abstract: the objective of this work was to study the social representations of homosexuality among college students, according to sexual orientation and sex. one free association question about the word homosexuality and another about is possible causes were answered. the data was analyzed according to the principles of content analysis. there were significant differences among the groups, allowing us to find out different ways of understanding/dealing with homosexuality and facing prejudice/discrimination. the homosexual men publicly justified/legitimated (rights, freedom) homosexuality with the argument/representation that it is uncontrollable/natural, while the homosexual women preferred to build and improve interaction agreements on the interpersonal level (family, love affair) to obtain social recognition. yet the heterosexual men and women, with many references to normality and others contents that reinforce the social conventions, pointed out less possibility of recognition towards homosexuality.

Abstract: We examined the relationships between self-representations and moral decision. We worked with the formulations about self-representations according to psychosocial approach. Secondary students in Rio de Janeiro took part in this research. They answered about two moral dilemmas of accusation of cheating on a test school and teasing a colleague. In addition, they were asked the question: who are you? Could you introduce yourself? They were asked to make a decision whether to keep promise (KP) to a friend (who cheated or lied) or to tell the truth (TT) to teacher/colleagues. We found different self-representation patterns, mainly to the moral decision with colleagues. TT was associated to group identity, moral value, collective category, meanwhile KP to positive interpersonal relation and collective category. Furthermore, we found association between TT and Evangelical identication and non-White ethnic identification. The results were discussed as self-representations which strengthen/weaken autonomy, differentiation and delimitation of interindividual and intergroup boundaries.

Abstract: an epidemiological analysis of the forms and distribution of dengue fever in brazil and worldwide was carried out. the national program of dengue control (npdc) was evaluated based on the data available at "diagdengue" an official computerized information system allowing to follow-up the implantation and impact of the program. a factorial analysis was performed by means of a set of indicators contributing to variability. the indicator scores were added and the cities demanding for prior attention of the npcd were classified for the construction of an index, which is presented three-monthly for every state, with intervals distributed between 0 and 9. the implantation of the ncpd is irregular. cities with bad implantation are predominating in the north and northeast of the country. in the second analysis, socio-economic variables of the selected cities were added. for the association tests these cities were classified into two groups: "bad" and "good/very good", based on the association of the index of building infestation informed in the fad (yellow fever and dengue) database and the constructed index. associations were verified based on variance analysis, trend test and trend estimate. it was observed that cities with low rates of illiteracy, efficient garbage collection and high ratio of sanitary installations are correlated with a good classification of the city according to diagdengue.

Psico , 2010,

The experiment was carried out at the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG), Patos, Paraiba, Brazil. The objective of this study was to evaluate the search for water and shade by Boer goats crossbreeds finished in native pasture under different supplementation levels. Twenty-eight Boer goats crossbreeds, non castrated, with 120 days old and an initial live body weight of 15.52Kg, were used. The treatments were randomly assigned to the animals according to a completely randomized design, with 4 feeding supplementations levels (0.0; 0.5; 1.0 and 1.5% of live body weight on Dry matter) and seven replications (goats). Data were obtained through the observation of the search frequency for water and shade by the animals during the daily grazing in three times: June, July and August. There wasn’t difference among treatments for search for water and the frequency observed was of 71.43, 80.95, 88.89 and 77.78% for the treatments 0.0; 0.5; 1.0 and 1.5% of feeding supplementation, respectively. There wasn’t effect of the treatments in the search for shade and the frequency observed was of 71.43, 85.71, 94.44 and 94.44% in the treatments 0.0; 0.5; 1.0 and 1.5% of feeding supplementation, respectively. The feeding supplementation level doesn't alter the search frequency of water

Abstract: The objectives of this study were to profile morphological and kinanthropometric in school (children) aged between 09 and 10 years of age, participants in Project Athlete of the Future (PAF). Thus, we evaluated 44 children, aged between 09 and 10 years. We can infer that children are within normal in height and body mass. For the tests kinanthropometric children were the best in the test run of 9 minutes and showed good levels of cardiorespiratory fitness. As for the tests with anaerobic speed test run of 20m and agility of the children assessed had an index lower than expected for their ages. Was also shown to be stronger in the test of abdominal and throwing medicineball compared to the test of horizontal jump. To test the flexibility of the index children showed lower than expected for their ages. These considerations will be presented to coordinate the FAP, which will be reflected and discussed for the better targeting of activities in classrooms, as well as the project itself.
