Jornal da Sociedade Brasileira de Fonoaudiologia , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S2179-64912012000300004
Abstract: purpose: to investigate the association among types of breastfeeding, presence of child development risk, socioeconomic and obstetric variables. methods: the sample was composed of 182 mother-child dyades. data were collected through an initial interview about breastfeeding; obstetric, socioeconomic, demographic and psychosocial aspects; and mother-child interaction analysis by the child development risk inventory. the data were organized in categories related to breastfeeding, presence or absence of child development risk, obstetric and socioeconomic variables, and were analyzed in statistica 9.0 software for statistical analysis. results: the mixed breastfeeding type shows statistical correlation between presence of child development risk as well as to variables such as prematurity, low weight, birth intercurrences and mother's domestic profession. conclusion: the results show that factors such as low weight, prematurity and presence of birth intercurrences can be associated to mixed breastfeeding, even if the mothers present physical and time availability for breastfeeding. these variables can be associated to mother-child initial interactions detected by child development risk inventory.

PURPOSE: to analyze the association between depression and anxiety maternal emotional states, whether combined or isolated and its relation with child development risk in children with zero to four month old. METHOD: this is an observational, analytic and a cohort research. We utilized the Beck Depression and Anxiety Inventories and Child Development Index Risks Inventory for data collection with 182 pairs of mother-child as for their interaction. RESULTS: the percentage of babies with at least one development risk and maternal and maternal anxiety emotional states when combined (34,2%; p<0,001) was significantly higher than with mothers without altered emotional states. There was a significant correlation between depression and anxiety (G= 0,83; p< 0,01e), that shows that mothers with higher degrees of depression also have anxiety states. CONCLUSION: there was association between maternal depression and anxiety and presence of risk for child development, a fact that shows the need for public health programs in order to care and to treat such pairs, when needed.

Scherer, Sabrina;Souza, Ana Paula Ramos de;
Revista CEFAC , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S1516-18462011005000058
Abstract: purpose: to comparatively analyze the change in types and tokens and the rate of type / token in children of both genders, aged between 18 and 36 months, native speakers of brazilian portuguese, as for grammatical category and total measure and segmental aspect. method: the speech of sixty children with typical language acquisition was recorded while playing with their mothers or teachers. the type/token ratio (ttr) and the total and segmental types and tokens were calculated, as for their grammatical distribution. the results were submitted to statistical analyses by student test and variance analysis (anova). results: the total number of types and the tokens is more effective to describe children grammatical evolution, among 18 and 32 months age, than the segmental one. substantives emerge first than verbs, adverbs, adjectives and others grammatical categories. all of the grammatical categories are in production at the 32 months of age. conclusion: no statistical differences were found among genders. the analysis of types and tokens is more effective than ttr and differentiated statically the ages: 18, 24 and 32 months. the segmental numbers of types and tokens is a less effective measure for the grammatical description in ages and genders.

Revista CEFAC , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S1516-18462010005000073
Abstract: background: language in autism. purpose: the data obtained through two protocols and also from the dialogical analysis of the pair mother-son were analyzed comparatively and the therapeutic implications of these analysis were discussed. methods: the sample was made of three children between 2 years and 1 month and 4 years and 6 months with diagnosis within the autistic spectrum. the collect was carried out through video recording of mother-child play interaction sessions during 30 minutes. data analysis procedures were: video transcription and checking, application of two protocols, one concerning mother-son interaction analysis and another one child communicative behaviors, and a qualitative analysis of the linguistic function with the pair. results: the mother-child interaction protocol showed similar category frequencies between the three mothers, and elevated frequency of questions and intrusive directivity. in the same protocol, children demonstrated exploratory and functional play, verbal and non-verbal stereotypes, which were also observed in the child communicative behaviors protocol. the mother-child interaction protocol allows to better show the mother-child behavior linkage than the communicative one, but only qualitative analysis exposed the nature of this linkage. conclusion: the interactional protocol showed better information for therapeutic plan than the child communicative behaviors did. that protocol, with qualitative analysis, permitted more qualified election of therapeutic strategies.

Revista CEFAC , 2011,
Abstract: TEMA: Linguagem no Autismo. BACKGROUND: Language in autism. Revista CEFAC , 2012,
Abstract: TEMA: entrevistas continuadas com m es e pais de sujeitos com espectro autístico no processo terapêutico em Fonoaudiologia. PROCEDIMENTOS: as entrevistas com os pais dos sujeitos foram feitas quinzenalmente por 24 meses consecutivos e o conteúdo foi anotado logo após sua realiza o, para análise posterior. Os dados foram analisados considerando o contexto global de cada caso. RESULTADOS: o espa o aberto pelas entrevistas continuadas foi fundamental para que os pais debatessem suas dúvidas sobre as limita es dos filhos e para que refletissem sobre aspectos como o brincar, a comunica o e o estabelecimento de limites com os filhos. Ou seja, os pais puderam refletir sobre o próprio exercício da fun o parental. Esse processo foi mais intenso no grupo de m es do que no de pais. Como efeito houve melhora dialógica e do brincar entre os pais e seus filhos. CONCLUS O: a entrevista continuada apresentou-se como aspecto fundamental do processo terapêutico realizado sob a perspectiva teórica que inclui a psicanálise e a concep o interacionista de aquisi o da linguagem. Rechia, Inaê Costa;Souza, Ana Paula Ramos de;
Psicologia em Estudo , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S1413-73722010000200010
Abstract: the current study analyzed possible relation between the dialogic interaction of the duo mother-child with praxic limitations and the exercise of maternal function. it tries, specifically, to categorize the types of dialogic interactions found, to analyze the interference or not of praxic limitation of children on the interpretation process by the mother and the reflexes of maternal function over the mother-child dialog. five mother-child diad took part on the study, with the interaction of these duos being filmed, on which the play, the relation mother-child, as well the exercise of maternal function were filmed. precarious bonds on the relation mother-child, difficulty on the exercise of maternal function, directive, intrusive or apathetic and away mothers were observed. for subjects, children of mothers that could evolve on the exercise of maternal function, cases which the bond had a significant improvement, it was observed a greater language evolution. the dialogic analyzes demonstrated that verbal dyspraxia doesn't prevent the interpretation process, it can only limit it. however, the exercise of maternal function seems to have a more important effect on the mother-child dialog.
