Disciplina, infantiliza??o e resistência dos pais: a lógica disciplinar dos livros de ocorrência

Abstract: this text deals with the narratives existing in the recent "occurrence books" of a public school to focus especially on the relations between school authorities and parents in the field of discipline. such books record children's behaviors that are considered undisciplined, in order to correct them. by bringing in the children's parents or caregivers, this school not only requires them to guarantee the kind of control demanded, but also (and especially) inserts them in the disciplinary logic of "occurrence books". although children are the main targets of discipline, everybody, to some extent, according to each situation or correlation of forces, is inserted in scenarios of infantilization or surveillance, examination and normalization and becomes permanently culpable and punishable.

Abstract: this text, based on narratives registered on an "occurrence book" employed by an elementary public school (1st to 4th grades), intends to discuss the level of surveillance exerted by type of disciplinary logic that inspires them, articulating it with a kind of pedagogic tradition, which is strongly attached to the school's routine. the point to be made is that this tradition, supported by ideas that infantilized the children by considering dependency, immaturity and discredit as universal traits of infancy, end up promoting the need of continuous surveillance and control over them by school authorities. the more to survey, more surveillance is in need and more ample the area for transgressions and for the constitution of the undisciplined children.

Abstract: the text identifies relations between the theme of confession and the narration extant in the recent registers of occurrences of a public school in curitiba, based on post-structuralist analytical references. these registers relate cases of students considered by the school as problematic and undisciplined and contain 517 occurrences for the years 1998 and 1999. in the records of the registers, we focus on elements that produce criminal and sinful scenarios in daily school life, with regard to that which they may express in terms of confessional practices of a juridical and religious type. from the juridical point of view, confession is seen in some of its possible articulations with other elements present in the narrative of the registers, like evidence, proof, clues, making part of a kind of daily mini-inquiry of the school, and in so doing producing accusations, crimes and punishment. from the religious point of view, the confessional dynamic is seen through these registers as a part of the process of "circulation of sins", in which the traditional battle between good and evil, between god and the devil, is presented and, in a certain way, taught.
