Abstract: Actualmente, en Brasil, dentro de las diversas técnicas de propagación in vitro, la micropropagación ha sido la que mayor interés científico y económico ha despertado en el campo forestal. De hecho, es la técnica más difundida por sus aplicaciones prácticas. Los primeros estudios fueron realizados en la década de los 50's. Entre 1970 y 1980 fueron establecidos algunos laboratorios de cultivo de tejidos. El presente trabajo es una revisión y una síntesis de la información de las aplicaciones de la micropropagación en la clonación de Eucalyptus en los programas de silvicultura clonal de Brasil.

Abstract: the aim of this work was to evaluate the dynamics of microcutting and minicutting techniques during rooting process, by monitoring root emergence and development in microcuttings and minicuttings of four eucalyptus grandis clones. microcuttings were obtained from in vitro rejuvenated plant-derived sprouts, whereas minicuttings from rooted sprouts derived from plants propagated through conventional cutting technique. the results suggest the greater rooting ability of the microcuttings as compared to the minicuttings, evidenced by the number of roots/cuttings, total root/cutting length, largest root/cutting length, mean length of roots/cutting and dry weight of roots.

Abstract: O presente estudo teve por objetivo avaliar a dinamica de enraizamento de microestacas e miniestacas, mediante o acompanhamento da emiss o e do desenvolvimento de raízes de quatro clones de Eucalyptus grandis. Foram utilizadas microestacas provenientes de brota es coletadas em plantas rejuvenescidas por micropropaga o e miniestacas oriundas de brota es coletadas de miniestacas enraizadas originadas de mudas propagadas pelo processo de estaquia convencional. Os resultados indicaram a maior habilidade de enraizamento das microestacas em rela o às miniestacas, evidenciada através do número de raízes/estaca, comprimento total de raiz/estaca, comprimento da maior raiz/estaca, comprimento médio de raízes/estaca e peso de matéria seca de raízes.

Abstract: the objective of this work was to evaluate the efficiency of the in vitro grafting in the propagation of two eucalyptus urophylla and e. grandis hybrid clones. juvenile stocks obtained from seeds of e. grandis and e. urophylla germinated in vitro were used. the grafted plants showed success up to 93% at 50 days for the scion and stock combinations. the highest final plant height values were observed when the stock was e. urophylla. histologic analysis showed that cicatrized callus in the connection region was successfully followed by vascular recomposition in different combinations among scion with rootstocks.

Abstract: four eucalyptus grandis clones were used to evaluate the effect of iba application (0, 1000, 2000 and 4000 mg/l) on the survival, rooting and vigor of microcuttings and minicuttings. regarding greenhouse exit survival and shade house exit rooting and survival at 50 days of age microcuttings and minicuttings, diverse clone responses were observed in relation to iba dosages. however, for all the tested clones no growth regulator effect was observed on height and root collar diameter for both microcutting and minicutting techniques. increased rooting indexes and survival of the minicutting were observed in the dosages of 1000 and 2000 mg/l iba in most of the clones. in general, no effect was observed on rooting and survival of the microcuttings; however similar or higher values to those obtained by minicutting technique were observed suggesting greater microcutting vigor, as compared to the minicutting.

Abstract: with the objective of testing in vitro regeneration through organogenesis from stem explants of three hybrid clones of eucalyptus grandis x eucalyptus urophylla, the effects of the growth regulators tdz [1-phenil-3-(1, 2, 3-thiadiazol-5-il)urea], bap (6-benzilaminopurine) and naa (naphthalene acetic acid) were evaluated. in general, a differentiated clone response in relation to intensity, texture, color and oxidation degree of calli was observed due to growth regulator treatments. the best results in callus formation were recorded for the treatments with the combination tdz (0,5 mg l-1) and ana (0,1 mg l-1), achieving 100% of callus formation from the stem explants. compact node structures appeared mainly in the extremities of the stem explants, being those areas responsible for the regeneration of adventitious buds. the best regeneration response was obtained with 1,0 mg l-1 bap.

Abstract: the objective of this work was to evaluate the efficiency of clonal gardens in the microcutting and minicutting techniques of four eucalyptus grandis clones regarding the survival, vigor and productive capacity of the microstumps and ministumps in successive collections of microcuttings and minicuttings. the microstumps were obtained from rejuvenated tissue explants through subculture in vitro, and the ministumps by minicuttings derived from conventional rooted cuttings. the ministumps and microstumps of e. grandis exhibited similar performance, i.e., high survival rate, vigor and productive capacity of vegetative propagation material.
Aclimatiza??o ex vitro de plantes propagadas pela enxertia in vitro de clones de Eucalyptus urophylla x E. grandis

Abstract: this work aimed to evaluate the survival and growth of two eucalyptus urophylla x e. grandis clones obtained by in vitro grafting technique during the ex vitro acclimatization stage. grafted plants were obtained from rootstocks from seedlings of in vitro-germinated eucalyptus grandis and e. urophylla, and apexes from stem tips (average 10 mm) of two micropropagated eucalyptus urophylla x e. grandis clones. after 50 days of in vitro culture, the plants were transferred to ex vitro conditions and plant survival and growth were evaluated. high grafting survival rates (87%) were recorded at 70 days in the ex vitro condition, as well as good height growth. clones showed similar performance in relation to the used stocks, indicating that the chosen acclimatization process was efficient.

Abstract: the objective of this paper was to evaluate the effect of dicamba and picloram on the induction of somatic embryogenesis in mature zygotic embryos, cotyledons and hypocotyls of eucalyptus grandis. callus induction was obtained in ms culture medium with dicamba (0.25; 0.5; 1.0 and 2.0 mg l-1) or picloram (0.5; 1.5; 5.0 and 10.0 mg l-1). treatments of cotyledonary explants with dicamba (0.5 mg l-1) or picloram (5.0 and 10.0 mg l-1) resulted in structures similar to somatic embryos, which appeared in different development stages. the histological analysis confirmed the presence of independent structures with an independent vascular system, suggesting that the structures are somatic embryos.
Multiplica??o in vitro de clones híbridos de Eucalyptus globulus

Abstract: the present study aimed to evaluate the response of hybrid eucalyptus globulus clones in ms and jads culture media during the in vitro multiplication phase. the explants were originated from the in vitro establishment phase of 21 eucalyptus urophylla x e. globulus clones, being 11 clones with three in vitro introductions, and of six eucalyptus grandis x e. globulus clones, being two clones with three introductions. the clones were subcultivated monthly in ms and jads culture media, with 0.5 mg l-1 of bap (6-benzylaminopurine) and 0.01 mg l-1 of naa (naphthaleneacetic acid). it was concluded that: the ms culture medium was superior in terms of the multiplication rate; most of the clones were established in the in vitro multiplication phase, whereas some clones appeared recalcitrant in this phase of the micropropagation; the multiplication rate presented a tendency to increase in the first subcultures with a subsequent fall for most of the clones.
