Exigências de treonina digestível para leitoas mantidas em ambiente termoneutro dos 30 aos 60 kg

Abstract: this study was carried out to evaluate the requirement of digestible threonine in diets of gilts from 30 to 60 kg, maintained thermoneutral environment. seventy crossbreed gilts with an initial weight of de 30.0 ± 0.61 kg were used in a randomized blocks design, with five treatments (levels of digestible threonine), seven replicates and two animals per experimental unity. the treatments corresponded of the levels of 0.50; 0.53; 0.56; 0.60; and 0.63% of digestible threonine. no effect was observed of digestible threonine level on daily weight gain of animals. feed:gain ratio improved in a quadratic way with the digestible threonine level, and the linear response plateau model estimated in 0.52% the level of amino acid, from which the feed conversion did not change. daily feed intake was reduced with the increase of digestible threonine intake. fat deposition linearly reduced, while protein deposition did not change with the increase of digestible threonine. the absolute and relative weight of kidneys and the absolute of intestine increased in a quadratic way with the digestible threonine levels, however, the relative weight of intestine increased in a linear way. it was concluded that the calculated level of 0.52% of digestible threonine, corresponding to a daily intake of 9.18 g and a relation with the digestible lysine of 63% provided better feed:gain ratio for gilts maintained in a thermoneutral environment from 30 to 60 kg.

Abstract: this trial was conducted to evaluate the effect of the environmental temperature on performance, carcass composition and physiological parameters of swine from 15 to 30 kg. thirty-six barrow (landrace x large white) averaging initial weight of 14.97 + 0.56 kg were assigned to a completely randomized experimental design with three treatments and six replicates of two animals. the experimental period lasted 23 days. the treatments were as follows: t1 animals on heat stress (35oc) fed ad libitum; t2 animals on thermal comfort (22oc) fed ad libitum; t3 animals on thermal comfort (22oc), pair feeding with treatment 1. decreasing effects of treatments 1 and 3 feed intake, weight gain, carcass yield and decrease on feed:gain ratio were observed. it was also observed decrease on daily protein and fat depositions in carcass of the animals of treatments 1 and 3 compared of those in the treatment 2. no effects of treatments on relative weights of evaluated organs were observed, except for the relative weight of kidney and stomach that were smaller in the animals of treatment 1 than those of treatment 2. the physiological parameters (rectal temperature, surface temperature and respiratory rate) were negatively influenced by high temperature (treatment 1). it was concluded that in the initial phase the environmental temperature by decreasing feed intake, reduce the weight gain, feed:gain ratio, and protein deposition and increase the respiratory rate and rectal temperature of swine.

Abstract: an experiment was conduced to determine the crude protein (cp) level in diets with amino acids supplementation for gilts maintained in a thermal comfort environment. fifty crossbreed crossbred gilts (landrace x large white) with initial average weight of 30.1 kg were allotted to a completely randomized experimental design, with five treatments (19, 18, 17, 16 and 15% of cp with supplementation of lysine, methionine, tryptophan, threonine and valine to maintain the same protein quality) five replicates and two animals per experimental unit. the experimental rations were fed ad libitum until the end of the experiment, when the animals reached the average weight of 60.3 kg. the cp level of the ration influenced the daily weight gain and the feed:gain ratio however the treatments did not influence the daily feed intake. the protein deposition (pd) did not change from 19 to 16% of cp of the diet. however the animals that fed diet with smaller level showed the lowest value of pd. the treatments did not influence the absolute and relative weights of all evaluated organs. it was concluded that the crude protein level, for gilts from 30 to 60 kg, maintained in thermal comfort environment can be reduced from 19 to 15% with no negative effect on performance since rations are supplemented with limiting essential amino acids

Abstract: sixty crossbred piglets, with average initial weight of 15.1 ± 0.50 kg and 56 ± 3.6 days old were used to evaluate the dietary crude protein levels, for barrows in the initial growing phase, under low temperature environment (15oc). the animals were allotted to a randomized blocks design, with five treatments, six replications and two animals per experimental unit. the treatments consisted of diets with 17.0, 18.0, 19.0, 20.0, and 21.0% crude protein (cp). the dietary crude protein levels affected daily weight gain, that increased in a quadratic way up to 19.6%. feed:gain ratio also changed in a quadratic way, increasing up to 20.0%. daily feed and digestible energy intakes were not influenced by the treatments. the best fit was obtained with the lrp discontinuous model, which estimated the crude protein level at 20%, when the data reached a plateau. the treatments influenced the protein deposition rate, that increased linearly, while the fat deposition rate did not change. it was concluded that the dietary crude protein level of 20.0%, associated to a daily intake of 10.7g total lysine, showed the best results of performance for barrows from 15 to 30 kg, under low temperature environment.

Abstract: sixty swine (landrace x large white) with initial weight of 14.97 ± 0.33 kg and 50.36 ± 3.29 days old were allotted to a blocks randomized experimental design, with five treatments (0.465, 0.511, 0.558, 0.605, and 0.652% digestible methionine + and cystine)and six replicates of two animals, to determine the sulphurous amino acids requirements for barrows on a high temperature environment from 15 to 30 kg. diets and water were fed ad libitum until the end of the experimental period, when the animals reached the weight of 29.87 ± 0.52 kg. the average temperature inside the room was maintained in 30.9 ± 0.7oc and the relative humidity in 67.5 ± 7.2%. the black globe humidity index calculated in the period was 81.2 ± 1.2. linear increasing effect of dietary digestible methionine + cystine levels on daily weight gain and linear decreasing effect on feed:gain ratio were observed. no effects of treatments on daily feed intake were observed. quadratic effect of treatments on fat deposition rate, that decreased by 0.508%, and increasing linear effect on protein deposition rate were observed. it was concluded that the dietary digestible sulphurous amino acids requirement for barrows on a high temperature environment from 15 to 30 kg is of 0.558% digestible methionine + cystine, that corresponds to 60% digestible methionine and cystine:digestible lysine ratio.
Soja integral processada (fermentada e extrusada) e farelo de soja em substitui o ao leite em pó em dieta de leit es desmamados aos 14 dias de idade

Abstract: O experimento foi realizado para avaliar o efeito da utiliza o de soja integral fermentada (SIF), soja integral extrusada (SIE) e farelo de soja (FS), em substitui o ao leite em pó (LP) da dieta, sobre desempenho e altera es morfológicas do sistema digestivo de leit es dos 14 aos 35 dias e dos 14 aos 56 dias e o seu efeito residual dos 36 aos 56 dias de idade. Foram utilizados 96 leit es machos, mesti os (Landrace x Large White), desmamados aos 14 dias de idade, em delineamento inteiramente casualizado com quatro tratamentos, quatro repeti es e seis animais por unidade experimental. A fonte de proteína influenciou o desempenho dos leit es dos 14 aos 35 e dos 14 aos 56 dias de idade. Os animais que receberam dieta com LP apresentaram maior ganho de peso nas três primeiras semanas após o desmame e no período total. No entanto, no período de 36 aos 56 dias, n o se observou influência dos tratamentos sobre o desempenho dos animais. Verificou-se efeito da fonte de proteína na altura de vilosidade (AV), na rela o vilosidade: cripta dos leit es abatidos aos 21 dias de idade e na AV dos animais abatidos com 35 dias de idade. Os animais que receberam dieta com LP apresentaram maior AV que os dos demais tratamentos. Concluiu-se que o LP pode ser substituído pela SIE e pelo FS nas dietas de leit es desmamados aos 14 dias de idade e os altos níveis de fatores antitripsina na SIF comprometeram os resultados.

Abstract: Foram utilizadas 360 codornas fêmeas, com idade inicial de 45 dias e peso médio de 137,0 g, durante quatro períodos de 28 dias. O delineamento experimental foi em blocos ao acaso, com seis rela es metionina mais cistina digestível: lisina digestível (0,60, 0,65, 0,70, 0,75, 0,80 e 0,85) e seis repeti es de 10 animais cada. As variáveis estudadas foram: postura (%), peso do ovo (g), massa de ovos (g de ovos/codorna/dia), consumo alimentar (g), convers o alimentar (g de ra o/g de ovos e g de ra o/dz de ovos), peso final (g) e porcentagem da casca do ovo (%). Os tratamentos experimentais n o influenciaram a convers o alimentar e o peso final das codornas, apresentando efeito quadrático sobre a taxa de postura, peso dos ovos, massa dos ovos e porcentagem da casca dos ovos e efeito linear para o consumo alimentar. A exigência em metionina mais cistina digestível foi estimada em 0,727%, para consumo diário de 164 mg de metionina mais cistina digestível, e a melhor rela o metionina mais cistina digestível: lisina digestível para as codornas japonesas em postura foi estimada em 0,80.

Abstract: Foram utilizadas 300 codornas fêmeas, com idade de 49 dias e peso médio de 138,0 g, durante quatro períodos experimentais de 28 dias. O delineamento experimental foi o em blocos ao acaso, contendo seis níveis de lisina digestível (0,80, 0,90, 1,00, 1,10, 1,20 e 1,30%) e cinco repeti es, com 10 animais cada. As variáveis estudadas foram: postura (%), peso do ovo (g), massa de ovo (g de ovos/codorna/dia), consumo alimentar (g), convers o alimentar (g de ra o/g de ovos), peso final (g) e porcentagem da casca do ovo (%).Verificou-se efeito quadrático sobre a taxa de postura, massa de ovos e convers o alimentar, e efeito linear sobre o peso dos ovos e consumo alimentar, n o tendo sido verificado efeito significativo sobre o peso final das codornas. A exigência em lisina digestível, para codornas japonesas em postura, foi estimada em 1,117% da ra o, correspondendo ao consumo diário de 254 mg de lisina.
