Caracteriza o fenológica da videira cv. Itália (Vitis vinifera L.) sob diferentes épocas de poda na regi o norte do estado do Rio de Janeiro

Abstract: O experimento foi instalado no município de Cardoso Moreira, regi o Norte do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, durante o ano de 2001, com o objetivo de descrever a fenologia da videira 'Itália' e estimar a necessidade térmica em graus-dia (GD), sob diferentes épocas de poda (abril, maio, junho e julho). Avaliou-se o comportamento fenológico para os seguintes períodos: poda à gema algod o, gema algod o à brota o, brota o ao aparecimento da inflorescência, aparecimento da inflorescência ao florescimento, florescimento ao início da matura o e início da matura o à colheita. Foi determinada a soma térmica, em graus-dia, para o ciclo poda-colheita. A dura o do ciclo foi de 138; 151; 150 e 157 dias para podas realizadas nos meses de abril, maio, junho e julho, respectivamente. A soma térmica necessária foi de 1727GD para poda realizada em abril, 1564GD para poda realizada em maio, 1702GD para poda realizada em junho e 1840GD para poda realizada em julho, utilizando-se de temperatura-base de 12oC.

Abstract: the experiment was carried in yellow podzolic at itaocara, rio de janeiro state, brazil, (latitude 21o 39' 12" south and longitude 42o 04' 36" west, with climate, conform k?ppen, classified as awi,), to evaluate the nutritional status and the development of the banana cultivar "prata an?" in relation to five nitrogen fertilization levels (0, 150, 300, 450 and 600 kg ha-1 year-1 of n). in general, the analyzed nutrients contents in the leaf dry matter were not modified by the increase of n dosage, being exception mn and cl. the levels of leaf nutrients differed between sampling seasons, with the exception of ca. there was no variation in the levels of n in the leaf dry matter, in relation to nitrogen fertilization. lower levels of k were observed in the leaf dry matter during the blooming and bunch development. in the first growing cycle, the nitrogen fertilization had no effect either on blooming time or in the bunch height. there was a decrease in the number of offshoots with the increasing of n levels.

Abstract: O experimento foi instalado num Argissolo Amarelo, no município de Itaocara-RJ (Latitude de 21o 39' 12" Sul e Longitude de 42o 04' 36" Oeste, com clima conforme K ppen, classificado como Awi, temperatura média anual em torno de 22,5oC e precipita o anual de 1041 mm), com o objetivo de avaliar o estado nutricional e o desenvolvimento da bananeira cultivar Prata-An em fun o da aplica o de cinco doses de nitrogênio (0; 150; 300; 450 e 600 kg ha-1 ano-1 de N). Os teores dos nutrientes na matéria seca foliar n o foram alterados pelas doses de N, exce es feitas ao Mn e ao Cl. Os teores foliares dos nutrientes variaram entre as épocas analisadas, com exce o do Ca. N o houve diferen a nos teores de N na folha analisada, em fun o do incremento da aduba o nitrogenada. Foram encontrados menores teores de K na matéria seca foliar, na época da inflorescência e forma o do cacho. A aduba o nitrogenada n o afetou a época de florescimento e a altura do cacho. Observou-se diminui o na emiss o de filhotes com o incremento das doses de N.

Abstract: the objective of the present work was to study the effect of number of productive branches on the leaf area development and green fig tree yield of roxo de valinhos cultivar. the experiment using six year-old plants was carried out between november/2002 and april/2003 at pesagro-rj, campos dos goytacazes, rj (21o19'23" south latitude, 41o19'40", west longitude, altitude of 20 a 30 m and aw koppen climate). the treatments consisted of plants conducted with 16, 20, 24, 28 and 32 productive branches in a randomized block design with five replicates. the lai incresead linearly in function of productive branches, whereas the yield showed a quadratic response pattern to the treatments, probably, limited by shading in canopy that decrease the fruit bud formation. the highest green fig yield was observed in the treatment which had plants conducted with twenty four branches, where the mean leaf area was 6,2 m2.

Abstract: the experiment was installed in cardoso moreira, north area of rio de janeiro state, during the year 2001, with the objective of describing the fenology of 'itália' grape and determinate the degree-day (gd) required, under different pruning dates (april, may, june and july). the phenological behavior was evaluated for the following periods: pruning to bud swell, bud swell to shoots, shoots to pre-bloom, pre-bloom to blooming, blooming to the beginning of maturation and beginning of the maturation to the harvest. the thermal characterization was determined, in degree-day, for the cycle pruning-crop. the duration of the cycle was 138, 151, 150 and 157 days for prunings carried out in april, may, june and july, respectively. the thermal demands of plants were 1727gd to pruning carried out in april, 1564gd for pruning carried out in may, 1702gd for pruning carried out in june and 1840gd for pruning carried out in july, being used the temperature-base of 12°c.
Efeito da aduba??o com boro e esterco bovino sobre a produtividade da figueira e as propriedades químicas do solo

Abstract: the objective of the present work was evaluate the effect of fig tree orchard fertilization with boron and cattle manure on the green fig yield and soil chemical properties. the treatments were five boric acid levels (0, 20, 40, 60 and 100g plant-1) combined with two cattle manure fertilization levels (without cattle manure and 10kg of cattle manure/plant). the experimental design was that of randomized blocks in a split-plot scheme and four repetitions. the boric acid fertilization did not affect the fig productivity whereas the cattle manure one increased it. the p and k content increased significantly and the al content decreased significantly in function of the cattle manure fertilization. the b soil content, extracted by hot water methodology increased linearly in function of the boric acid levels.

Abstract: O objetivo deste trabalho foi verificar o efeito da aduba o da cultura da figueira com boro e esterco bovino sobre a produtividade de figos verdes e as propriedades químicas do solo. Os tratamentos foram cinco doses de ácido bórico (0, 20, 40, 60 e 100g planta-1) combinadas com dois níveis de aduba o de esterco (sem esterco e 10kg de esterco/planta). O delineamento experimental foi o de blocos casualizados em esquema de parcelas subdivididas e quatro repeti es. A aduba o com ácido bórico n o afetou a produtividade de figos, enquanto que o esterco bovino aumentou-a. Os teores de fósforo e potássio no solo aumentaram significativamente e o teor de alumínio diminuiu significativamente em fun o da aduba o com esterco bovino. O teor de B no solo, extraído pelo método da água quente, aumentou linearmente em fun o das doses de ácido bórico.

Abstract: a field experiment was carried out, in campos dos goytacazes, rj, brazil, from december, 1995 to june, 1997, to evaluate the effect of nitrogen fertilization, under different irrigation depths, on yield and fruit quality of yellow passionfruit. four nitrogen levels (50, 250, 450 and 650 g plant-1 year-1 of n) were tested, using urea as the source of n, under six irrigation depths (0, 25, 50, 75, 100 and 125% of et0 - reference crop evapotranspiration for grass), at 4 x 6 factorial scheme with three replications. a dripping irrigation system was used. there was no yield response due to increasing nitrogen levels when 0, 25, 100 and 125% of et0 were applied. maximum fruit yield (41.3 ton ha-1) was obtained when 290 g plant-1 year-1 of n was applied under an irrigation depth close to 75% of et0, which corresponded to a total of 1,293 mm of applied water (irrigation + effective rainfall). nitrogen fertilization influenced the number of fruit and did not show any effect on either average weight or other fruit qualitative characteristics. irrigation depth had great influence on fruit yield, average weight, length and diameter.

Abstract: the appropriate evaluation of the nutritional state of a pineapple plant and the fulfillment of its nutritional needs are important factors to improve fruit quality and production levels. this study aimed to evaluate the effect of the application of boron on its contents, distribution in the plant and fruit characteristics, in addition to discussing the range of b considered appropriate for pineapple. boron concentration in different parts of the 'd' leaf was determined along the growth cycle of pineapple plants. the experiment was carried out in s?o francisco de itabapuana-rio de janeiro. the experimental design was completely randomized blocks, with 4 replicates and 5 treatments: no b application; monthly foliar sprays of borax, for 6 months before floral induction; monthly foliar sprays of borax, for 6 months after floral induction; monthly foliar sprays of borax, from 6 months before until 6 months after floral induction, and b application, in the axils of the basal leaves of the plant, at 30 days before the floral induction. each sample consisted of five 'd' leaves, collected at 230, 300, 370, 450 and 520 days after planting. a foliar application of b determined the trend of increasing the total soluble solids content of the pineapple fruit. the weight and size of the fruit were not significantly affected by the treatments. b distribution along the 'd' leaf was not uniform. in general, the largest b concentration was observed in the apical portion of the leaf and the smallest in the non-chlorophyllated portion of the leaf. borax foliar application increased b concentration in median and apical portions of the leaf but had no effect on basal and non-chlorophyllated portions of the leaf. the lack of symptoms of boron deficiency associated with a b concentration below the minimum limit suggests that the minimum limit is higher than the real limit of pineapple plants.

Abstract: the standardization of the sampling for foliar analysis in pineapple is important to obtain reliable results. in this aspect this work seeks to identify the variation of the mineral composition of pineapple leaf, in plants developed in sandy soil, without irrigation. the leaves were collected, cleaned and divided in 4 parts: non-chlorophyllated, basal, medium and apical. after the drying, the samples were weighted, digested, and analyzed by the appropriate methodology for each nutrient. a great variation in the concentration of the nutrients was found along the pineapple leaf. a reliable comparison of the analysis can be established between the whole leaf and the chlorophyllated portion of the leaf; the same does not apply to the non-chlorophyllated portion of the same leaf. this paper confirms the need of the standardization of leaf sampling for mineral composition evaluation.
