Scale of Teaching Strategies for Collaborative Learning: Design, Validation and Evaluation of Its Psychometric Properties in High School Education  [PDF]
Magaly Cárdenas Rodríguez, Luz Marina Méndez Hinojosa, César Alejandro Ortiz Páez
Psychology (PSYCH) , 2019, DOI: 10.4236/psych.2019.102019
Abstract: Most of the educational programs worldwide have focused on the diverse competences of the students, but in all of them, collaborative learning plays an important role. It is likely that many institutions are unaware of the teaching strategies that can produce collaborative learning in the classroom. Therefore, the present study aimed to design and evaluate the psychometric properties of a scale that examined the frequency of use of teaching strategies that led to collaborative learning in students. Nine subscales were designed, each one measuring a different strategy, these were evaluated by expert judgment and subsequently, they were applied to a sample of 200 high school teachers. Based on the data obtained, it is possible to provide evidence, through exploratory factor analysis and Cronbach’s alpha, of the instrument’s validity and reliability.
López, Alejandro;Cárdenas, Enrique;
Política y gobierno , 2009,
Abstract: 2006 was the first election for president in mexico that took place under an administration that was not controlled by the pri, and these elections were characterized by a hard-fought competition and the strong presence of the candidates in mass media. three citizens' organizations, dialogues for mexico, citizens' magnifying glass, and evaluate and decide stood out because they tried to limit the tendency of the candidates and parties to exaggerate their electoral promises. the proposed initiatives of these groups included first, reducing the negative consequences of sloppy party platforms (improvisation); and second, offering information that would promote a more reasoned decision on the part of the voter by following through on the electoral promises so that they could answer questions such as, "are these solid proposals? did they improve?" the objective of this project is to allow citizens and political actors to evaluate the performance of elected officials in the next elections. because of this experience and by examining the initiatives to be able to influence general policies, these citizen-based groups were able to present suggestions for civic organizations to monitor more effectively representative institutions in mexico.

Abstract: Visual anosognosia or Anton-Babinski syndrome is a rare neurological condition related to cortical blindness. The patients deny their blindness and affirm adamantly that they are capable of seeing. The clinical presentation includes confabulations and sometimes confusional states. In this article we report two patients with anosognosia related to ischemic stroke in two different sets of etiology and pathogenesis. We describe the major clinical manifestations of this syndrome and review the current medical literature. Two patients were identified, a 96-year-old male with visual anosognosia secondary to a right posterior cerebral artery thrombosis, and a 56-year-old female with the same syndrome but related to central nervous system angiitis in relation with multiple sclerosis and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Visual anosognosia or Anton-Babinski syndrome is a rare neurological condition, however the ischemic vascular cerebral disease is a frequent etiology. We believe that this is the first report of this syndrome in relation to angiitis with a clear autoimmune pathogenesis.

Abstract: the objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the self-administration of 600mg of misoprostol by the vaginal route up to three doses every 8 hours in a period of 24 hours so as to induce abortion in up to 9-week pregnancy. a group of pregnant volunteers with gestation times ranging from 35 to 63 days participated in the study. all the patients who had abortion received an additional dose of 600mg of misoprostol. a patient decided not to continue in the study after the first interview but her data were included in the general characteristics of the sample. the method was considered to be efficient when it caused complete abortion without requiring further surgical or causing secondary effects. fifty seven patients (64%) had complete abortion. the time of expulsion was 7,4 ± 3,8 h (median 7,2h, range 3-20h) for all the patients who had abortion in the first 24 hours of misoprostol administration. thirsty two cases failed, 28 were due to problems with the method after administering the third doses and 4 cases were due to medical decision. the obtained results in this study allowed us to conclude that the dose of 600mg of misoprostol is not the adequate dose to produce high or acceptable abortive efficacy

Abstract: misoprostol is similar to prostaglandins with uterotonic properties. a group of 141 patients with gestational time under 70 days received 3 doses of 800 mg of misoprostol every 48 hours. failure was defined by the need of performing a surgical abortion and success by the complete removal of the outcome. generally speaking, 132 cases (93,6%) had normal abortion, 9 cases failed for 6,4%. the decrease in hemoglobin rates was statistically significant (p=0,001) but without clinical impact, before treatment: 11,9 mg/dl with standard deviation=1,19 and after treatment: 11,1 with a sd=1,20. there were no statistically significant differences among success rates and failure rates in relation to parity, pregnancy, previous abortions, race or age, but they were found in pregnancies over 9 weeks (p=0,01). the third dose of misoprostol showed very low efficiency. the benefits that the reduction of treatment time plus the use of more frequent doses of this medicine, combined with different ways of administration, might bring are under research.
Influence of Measured Scattering Parameters on the Convolution Simulation of Nonlinear Loaded High-Speed Microstrip Interconnects
Carlos Manuel Figueroa Cárdenas;Alejandro Duenas Jimenez
PIER M , 2011, DOI: 10.2528/PIERM11050608
Abstract: The simulation of nonlinear loaded high-speed microstrip interconnects by means of a convolution-based procedure is described when both, analytical and measured scattering parameters are used. Closed-form equations are employed to obtain the analytical scattering parameters. The influence of measured scattering parameters, when these are used instead the analytical ones, is investigated to know how the microstrip interconnect responses are affected. The convolution procedure is complemented by including the transmission line linear equation and the microwave circuit reflection theory.

Misoprostol is similar to prostaglandins with uterotonic properties. A group of 141 patients with gestational time under 70 days received 3 doses of 800 mg of Misoprostol every 48 hours. Failure was defined by the need of performing a surgical abortion and success by the complete removal of the outcome.
