Abstract: Estudo comparativo de anticorpos IgG e IgE antileishmania como marcadores de infec o e doen a em área endêmica de leishmaniose visceral na ilha de S o Luis, MA no período de maio de 1999 a maio de 2000. A casuística foi composta de 1.016 menores de 16 anos. Destes, foram randomizados 85 para dosagem de IgE antileishmania pelo ELISA. A prevalência de soropositividade por IgG foi de 17,1% (174 menores) e 0,4% da popula o evoluiu para leishmaniose visceral doen a. A positividade para IgE antileishmania, foi de 43,5% dos 85 indivíduos estudados. Dos 7 casos de calazar no passado analisados, observou-se que todos apresentavam positividade para IgG e 4 (57,14%) permaneciam positivos para IgE, mesmo 7 anos após a cura. Os 3 menores com leishmaniose visceral doen a, apresentaram positividade para IgG e IgE antileishmania. A detec o de IgE antileishmania demonstrou ser marcador de infec o para Leishmania chagasi em área endêmica, n o sendo entretanto, marcador de doen a.

Abstract: comparative study regarding igg and ige anti-leishmania as markers of infection and illness among residents of a visceral leishmaniasis visceral leishmaniasis endemic area, s?o luis, ma in the period from may 1999 to may 2000. all the 1,016 individuals younger than 16 years old were tested for the presence of igg by elisa. a total of 174 (17,1%) children revealed a positive igg test and 4 children showed symptoms of classical visceral leishmaniasis during the time of the survey: 85 ige anti-leishmania elisa tests with positivity of 43,5% were realized. in this sample, all 7 children with past-visceral leishmaniasis in the sample were igg positive and 4 (57,1%) were ige positive, even after a 7 year post treatment period. three children with current visceral leishmaniasis were evaluated, and all of them were positive for both tests. the detection of antileishman ige antibodies presented as a good marker for infection by leishmania chagasi in endemic areas but not as a disease marker.

Abstract: this study is an attempt to discuss the social construction of adolescents' love relationship through under the perspective that, in each historical period, the sexual and love manifestations, claimed or not as an ideal, are also a reflection of the social and cultural everyday life transformations. the fact that i have coexisted with children and adolescents in classrooms and observed some attitudes and behaviors related to their love and sexual life has been the source of food for though, which resulted in a proposal of an educational work in this area. the text arise some questions as the influence of the instrumental action of the seduction and the necessity of technical quality in the sexual and love performance in the training of youth nowadays.

Abstract: Michel Foucault aborda os temas da loucura, saber, poder e ética, tendo como pano de fundo uma crítica à sociedade disciplinar e à normaliza o operada pela Psiquiatria e Psicanálise. Partindo sobretudo de Joel Birman, o presente artigo argumenta que resgatar o caráter crítico de Foucault em rela o à Psicanálise é possibilitar uma prática clínica renovada em rela o à psicose e à quest o da cidadania. A absor o pela Psicanálise das críticas foucaultianas possibilita uma a o voltada ao cuidado efetivo da loucura, em detrimento de sua a o enquanto saber e exercício de poder sobre a mesma. Michel Foucault approach the subjects of madness, knowledge, power and ethics from critical perspective about disciplinary society and the normalization produced by Psychiatric and the Psychoanaliysis. This article argues, mainly through Joel Birman’s contribuition, that the recover of critical point of view of Foucault in relation of Pychoanalysis could make possible a renovated clinical practice in relation of psycotic disorders and the question of citizenship. The absorption by Psychoanalysis of the foucault’s criticism turn easier the adoption of a new attitude towards an effective action to the care of madness, in detriment of yours action while knowledge and exercise of power over these practice.

Abstract: The democratic management of educational practices is a theoretical and practical matter, which has been discussed in several institutional spheres (PARO, 2003; BORGES, GIUBILEI & OLIVEIRA, 2006). This paper deals with education management and is based on a case study about technical and professional education of agents of Municipal Guard (SILVA, 2005). This kind of education is affected by structural problems in the public institution (SANTOS, 1987) and in the macro judicial system (PINHEIRO, 1997), also being harmed by a process of social and work precariousness (ANTUNES, 1999; 2005). All these aspects represent challenges that have to be overcame. Thus, our propose of democratic professional education management (SILVA, 2005; HELOANI & SILVA, 2006) opposes the bureaucratic and alienating management. It demands listening to the collective subject and assuming a reflexive praxis about the professional activities and the socio-institutional reality. We consider that the challenge of creating a democratic professional management and a critical collective conscience, articulated with innovative actions, is part of a horizon of possibilities, even when it is mediated byinstitutional, organizational and cultural dimensions (SILVA JúNIOR & FERRETTI,2004).

Abstract: Prop e-se uma crítica radical às práticas educacionais a partir de uma interlocu o interpelante entre Foucault e a psicanálise. Foucault aborda os temas da loucura, saber, poder e ética, tendo como pano de fundo uma crítica à sociedade disciplinar, às institui es e à normaliza o operada pela psiquiatria e psicanálise. Freud aborda a dinamica dos conflitos psíquicos contrapondo-se ao saber médico de sua época, de modo a elaborar uma teoria sobre o inconsciente. O resgate das críticas de Foucault a Freud é fundamental à proposi o deste artigo. O diálogo entre as críticas foucaultianas e psicanalíticas à educa o e suas possíveis contribui es às transforma es de suas práticas só se faz possível e potencializado quando se leva em conta as pertinentes críticas de Foucault à psicanálise. Por outro lado, faz-se necessário admitir que o campo psicanalítico, interlocutor permanente de Foucault, pode, em certa medida, vir a ser um aliado ao projeto filosófico deste último, quer seja em fun o do descentramento em rela o à vis o do sujeito racional, quer seja pela crítica às institui es, de modo a promover formas de se pensar e agir diferentes das que geralmente se objetivam nas práticas escolares e na vida cotidiana. Abstract This paper proposes a radical criticism of educational practices from an interpellant interlocution between Foucault and psychoanalysis. Foucault deals with themes like insanity, knowledge, power and ethics, having as a background a criticism of disciplinary society, institutions and normalization performed by psychiatry and psychoanalysis. Freud discusses the dynamics of psychic conflicts, opposing to the medical knowledge of his time, so that he could develop a theory of the unconscious. The retrieval of the criticisms of Foucault to Freud is fundamental to the proposition of this paper. The dialog between the foucaultian and psychoanalytic criticisms of education and their possible contribution for the transformation of its practices is only feasible and potentialized when it takes into account the pertinent Foucault’s criticisms of psychoanalysis. On the other hand, it is necessary to admit that the psychoanalytic field, as a permanent interlocutor of Foucault, can become, to a certain extent, an ally of his philosophical project, as due to its decentering concerning the view of the rational subject as to the criticism of the institutions. It may thus promote ways of thinking and acting differently of those generally aimed in the school practices and in everyday life.

Abstract: O presente texto é uma tentativa de discorrer sobre a constru o social do relacionamento amoroso dos adolescentes, através da perspectiva de que, em cada época histórica, as manifesta es sexuais e amorosas, proclamadas como ideais ou n o, também s o o reflexo das transforma es sociais e culturais que os indivíduos vivem. A convivência diária em sala de aula, com crian as e adolescentes, e a observa o de algumas de suas atitudes e comportamentos relacionados à vida amorosa e sexual foram subsídios para uma reflex o dessas quest es e para aventar a proposi o de algum trabalho educacional nesta área. Abstract: This text is mainly aimed to address essential aspects of teacher formation in the light of education-work relations in the higher education, from our systematic experience in higher education teaching, particularly teaching and research in the field of Didactics discipline. This formulation is justified considering our concern in seeking to situate this discussion in the context of bringing together knowledge areas and the field of teaching knowledge. Still, our choice to develop such an approach in the light of work-education relationship is due to the belief about the possibilities of seeking to overcome the requirements imposed by capitalism to our educational system, within the possible contradictions of these relationships. In this context the teachers’ formation in higher education gains social and strategic importance, taking on the task of forming individuals of “action-reflection-action” in a society established historically based on the social relations which settle in the light of capital’s multiple determinations. It appears that, in this sense, the major confrontations have been given within the discussions about what to prioritize or combine in the list of criteria and content for teacher’s formation. In Didactic, we seek to emphasize discussions that we consider with a philosophical background, referring to the orientation of teaching practice in knowledge of contemporary ideological struggle; socio-historical, referring to the possibility of formation of disciplines, among them Didactic, and curriculums and references to support its guidance in the process of teacher’s formation. This context of discussion is based on the concrete teaching practice with a view to transformation and to search for new syntheses in terms of knowledge and in terms of historical reality. Then therefore, our methodological approach grounded in the dimensions of the same unit: historical materialism as posture, method and as praxis.
