LEVANTAMENTO NUTRICIONAL DOS BANANAIS DA REGI O NORTE DE MINAS GERAIS PELA ANáLISE FOLIAR

Abstract: O trabalho objetivou avaliar a situa o do estado nutricional das bananeiras irrigadas da Regi o Norte de Minas Gerais, utilizando os resultados das amostras foliares enviadas por produtores, para serem analisadas no Laboratório de Solo e Folha da EPAMIG/CTNM, no ano de 1999, totalizando 1099 amostras. Foram determinados os teores de N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, B, Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn e Na. Observou-se que 97% do total das amostras avaliadas apresentaram alguma deficiência, sendo que 36% para macronutrientes e 95% para micronutrientes. A ordem decrescente de porcentagem de amostras deficientes em macronutrientes foi K = S > P > N > Mg > Ca. Para os micronutrientes, a porcentagem decrescente de amostras que apresentaram deficiência foi Zn > Cu > Fe > Mn > B. O Ca e Mn foram os que se apresentaram em maior porcentagem das amostras avaliadas com teor adequado de 98 e 87%, respectivamente. O B foi o micronutriente mais freqüentemente encontrado em teor excessivo com 94% das amostras foliares. Para o Na, o teor foliar entre 10 a 1348 mg kg-1.

Abstract: the work objectified to evaluate the situation of the state nutricional of the irrigated banana tree of the northerm of minas gerais, using the results of the foliar samples sent by producers, for they be analyzed in the epamig/ctnm soil and leaf laboratory in the year of 1.999 in a total of 1,099 samples. there were analysed the contents of n, p, k, ca, mg, s, b, cu, fe, mn, zn and na. it was observed 97% of the appraised samples presented some deficiency, and 36% of macronutrients and 95% of micronutrients. the decreasing order of percentage of deficient samples in macronutrients was k = s > p > n > mg > ca. for the micronutrients the decreasing percentage of samples that presented deficiency was zn > cu > fe > mn > b. the ca and mn were the ones that they appraised in larger percentage of the samples evaluated with appropriate content of 98 and 87%, respectively. the b was the micronutrient more frequenty found in excessive content with 94% of the foliar samples. for the na, the foliar content among 10 to 1,348 mg kg-1.

Abstract: this survey represents the first part of a program for the evaluation of the general nutritional level of coffee fields in main soil groups of the state of s?o paulo and it reports the data concerning the massapê-salmour?o area of soil (ortho red-yellow podzolic soils, ortho red-yellow latosol and gravelly podzolized soils). a total of 107 leaf samples was taken for analyses in three seasons during 1964: summer (january-february, when the coffee fruit is developing); autumn (april-may, during fruit ripening), and in the spring (september-october, when flowering occurs). the sampling was made in 20 different counties in 5 to 10 years old coffee fields of "mundo novo", "bourbon" or "caturra" varieties. analyses were performed for 12 elements. the results obtained were then compared with the threshold level and frequency distribution curve, previously obtained in a general survey of coffee plantations under a wide range of conditions in the state. leaf analyses of n, b, zn, mg, and fe confirmed the deficiency symptoms observed in the field. some differences in potassium, manganese and molybdenum content of the leaves from different varieties were found. the percentage of deficient coffee fields changes with the sampling season for most elements. fluctuations must be taken into account for the foliar diagnoses. the results of this study indicate that for the improvement of the coffee production in these soils, attention should be given to nitrogen and boron.

Abstract: a leaf analysis survey of orange groves in s?o paulo was carried out to provide better acquaintance with the nutritional levels of citrus trees in several areas. samples of leaves of the spring cycle 6 to 7 month old were collected from 40 locations and analysed for twelve essential plant nutrients. these included n. p, k, ca, mg, s. fe, mn, cn, zn, 11 and mo. records were tahen on variety, sni! type, fertilizer practices, production, malnutrition symptoms, spray practices, and tree appearance. soil samples were also collected at the time of leaf sampling and analysed. the results of this study showed a wide range in the leaf content of any nutrient-element. the lowest values of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, zinc and manganese obtained indicated deficiencies of these nutrients. in one case boron deficiency occurred. some orchards with supposed molybdenum deficiency will be studied separetely. the data indicated generally satisfactory levels of calcium, sulphur, iron and copper.

Abstract: trials were established on four soil types (latosolic b terra roxa - lr; ortho dark red latosol - le and red yellow podzolic laras variation - pvls in the state of s?o paulo and textural b terra roxa - te in parana to study varietal and soil effects on macronutrient composition of sugarcane leaves and to do a nutritional survey of varieties by foliar analysis. a randomized block designwas used with four replications of 16 varieties (cb 41-76; cb 45-155; cb 47-355; cb 49-260; cb 56-171; cb 61-80; iac 50/134; iac 51/205; iac 52/150; iac 52/326; co 740; co 775; cp 51-22 and na 56-62). varieties were planted under the same conditions of climate, fertilization, tillage and age, sanitation and source. a central 20 cm portion of each +3 leaf was taken (except for midrib for determining amounts of n, r, k, ca, mg and s, expressed -on a dry weight basis. leaf samplesof 20 leaves per plot were selected at four months of age, for analysis. from the results obtained it was conclued that: a) there is a varietal effect on leaf composition of major elements, independent of soil type; b) soil type has an influence on leaf composition of different varieties; c) the higher nutrient levels in the leaves did not always result in the highest production intpol/ha; d) because of soil and varietal influence on leaf composition it is rifficult to generalize critical nutrient, levels obtained from foliar diagnosis; e) critical levels of nutrients obtained from foliar diagnosis for une variety do not represented the same levels for all varieties.
Levantamento de cafèzais do Estado de S?o Paulo pela análise química foliar II: Solos Podzolizados de Lins e Marília, Latossolo Roxo e Podzólico Vermelho Amarelo-Orto

Abstract: roughly, coffee fields are distributed on. the main types of soil in the state of s?o paulo as follows: podzolized soils of lins and marilia, 70%; latosolic b "terra roxa", 15%; ortho-red yellow podzol, 10%; other types, 5%. this paper presents and discusses data on foliar analyses of coffee, plants cultivated on the 3 first soil types. it complements a previous survey made on red-yellow ortho podzol. leaf samples were collected in the spring, summer and fall, from 134 "mundo novo" coffee fields. besides the content of 12 essential elements, amount of na and al were also determined in these samples. fe, zn, mn, and cu were determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. the first 3 elements were determined in a wet digest of 0.5 g of dry plant material with a mixture of hno3-h2so4-hc104, in a final volume of 20 ml. determination of cu, on the other hand, required an extract obtained by dissolving in 10 ml of 0.25n hc1, ashes from 1.25 g of dry leaf tissue, incinerated at 500°c for 2 hours. the same extract used for fe, zn and mn analyses served for na and al determination. however, content of al was estimated by colorimetric method of aluminon (1) whereas amount of na was determined by flame emission photometry (2). the remaining elements - n, p, k, ca mg, s-s04, b and mo - were determined according to the process described by lott et al (4, 5). evaluation of the nutritional condition of the coffee fields in each soil type was based upon the amount of the elements present in the leaf tissue sampled in the summer, compared to the levels considered as critical (4). the results of these evaluations showed a high proportion of plants defficient in nitrogen, in all soil types, indicating the importance of nitrogen fertilization. in podzolized soils of lins and marilia, attention should be given to fe, ca and zn defficiency; there is also the possibility of toxic effects induced by excess of mn in such soils. besides n defficiency, latosolic b "terra roxa" had frequent
Análise química do pecíolo e limbo foliar como indicadora do estado nutricional dos mamoeiros 'solo' e 'formosa'  [cached]

Abstract: A ausência de um consenso na literatura sobre qual parte da folha, limbo ou pecíolo, seria a mais indicada para avalia o do estado nutricional do mamoeiro, dificulta o uso da análise foliar como ferramenta de diagnose para a cultura. Assim, foi conduzido um experimento para comparar a diagnose do estado nutricional efetuada pela análise do limbo e do pecíolo foliar de mamoeiros pertencentes aos grupos 'Solo' e 'Formosa'. Foi adotado o delineamento em blocos casualizados para avaliar seis variedades de mamoeiros, três de cada grupo. Foram retiradas amostras foliares em cinco épocas, a cada três meses. A folha recém-madura foi dividida em limbo e pecíolo, onde foram determinados os teores de N, NO3-, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, B, Cl, Fe, Mn e Zn. Estes teores foram comparados com os citados na literatura como adequados para a cultura. A diagnose do estado nutricional do mamoeiro quando efetuada por meio da análise do limbo ou do pecíolo foliar levou a diferentes diagnósticos mostrando a necessidade de defini o de um único padr o. A análise do limbo foliar mostrou-se mais efetiva que a do pecíolo para diagnosticar o estado nutricional, diferenciando melhor as variedades de mamoeiro, em rela o a N, P, K e Cl, n o diferindo em rela o aos demais nutrientes. Sendo assim, o limbo foliar deve ser utilizado como indicador do estado nutricional do mamoeiro.

Abstract: O presente trabalho, caracterizado como pesquisa exploratória, foi realizado com o objetivo de apresentar, de forma cronológica, a produ o de conhecimentos sobre Educa o Nutricional no período de 1990 a 2005, destacando contribui es possíveis à área. Por meio de levantamento bibliográfico, buscamos artigos e trabalhos que discutissem a educa o nutricional identificando a princípio rela o direta dos mesmos com a educa o em saúde. A seguir, adentramos a educa o nutricional, destacando sua evolu o histórica e conceitos fundamentais. Apresentamos alguns campos de aplica o da educa o nutricional e como a implementa o de programas de educa o nutricional beneficia-se das práticas de educa o em saúde. Por fim, sugerimos a necessidade de prosseguimento de investiga es desta natureza, em fun o de avan os que tal aprofundamento poderá proporcionar à área da Educa o Nutricional. Abstract: Como um dos requisitos para a operacionaliza o do Sistema de Vigilancia Alimentar e Nutricional (SISVAN) no município de Curitiba, PR, Brasil, foi realizado um levantamento epidemiológico retrospectivo com dados de 1988, que buscou através do exame antropométrico conhecer a prevalência e as formas de desnutri o calórico-protéico de crian as menores de cinco anos atendidas pela Rede Municipal de Saúde de Curitiba. Numa amostra de 4.213 crian as encontrou-se pela Classifica o de Gòmez 28,1% de desnutridos, sendo que 3,6% destes situam-se no grau II e III. A Classifica o de Seoane e Latham modificada por Batista Filho revelou que 19,7% das crian as apresentam alguma forma de desnutri o. O perfil antropométrico revelou maior concentra o de crian as no primeiro decil a partir do sexto mês de vida, sendo esta mais acentuada no grupo etário de 12 a 24 meses para os índices: peso/idade e altura/idade.

Abstract: Los extractos foliares (EF) son utilizados como complemento nutricional en países como Nicaragua y Tanzania. Se evaluaron hojas y EF de yuca, fríjol, batata y alfalfa, y se cuantificó los componentes nutricionales, antinutricionales y biodisponibilidad por métodos in vitro. En promedio (DE), el EF de fríjol tiene una elevada concentración de hierro (1006,23 (8,49) mg/kg); el EF de yuca tiene alta concentración de zinc (110,65 (6,72) mg/ kg) y proteína soluble (34,23 (3,81) g/kg). Así mismo, la digestibilidad in vitro de proteína en los EFs de yuca, fríjol y alfalfa fueron superiores a 71,18%; hierro dializable in vitro menor a 2,29%; la relación molar fitato:zinc inferior a 0,08 y la bioaccesibilidad all-trans-β -caroteno superior a 23,85%. Estos valores sugieren una alta asimilación de proteína, zinc y all-trans-β -caroteno, y una baja asimilabilidad de hierro. Los EFs pueden ser una alternativa nutricional en la alimentación en países que carecen de diversificación alimentaria. Foliar extracts (FEs) are an alternative to address food and nutrition insecurity. FEs and leaves of cassava, bean, sweet potato and alfalfa were evaluated for nutrient and antinutrient composition and in vitro nutrient bioavailability. Bean FE had a high average ± (SD) iron concentration (1006 ± 8.49 mg/kg), as did cassava FE for zinc (110.1 ± 6.72 mg/kg) and soluble protein (34.23 ± 3.81 g/kg) concentration. For the cassava, bean and alfalfa FEs in vitro protein digestibility was greater than 71.18%; in vitro iron dialyzability was less than 2.29%; the phytate:zinc molar ratio was less than 0.08, and the in vitro all-trans-β-carotene bioavailability was greater than 23.85%. These values suggest a high protein, zinc and all-trans- β -carotene bioavailability and a low iron bioavailability. FEs can be a nutritious alternative for those countries with low dietary diversity.
