Molecular characterization of PCN populations from Serbia  [PDF]
Oro Violeta,Oro-Radovanovi? Vesna
Genetika , 2012, DOI: 10.2298/gensr1201189o
Abstract: The morphology of potato cyst nematodes (PCN) was until recently almost the only way to identify these quarantine organisms. In the last two decades, molecular analyses contributed to faster and more efficient identification of two Globodera species (Globodera pallida and G. rostochiensis) and allowed insight into the genetic structure of those parts that were practically inaccessible by morphological studies. Molecular characterization was performed in ITS1-5.8S-ITS2 region. The comparison was made with sequences of different foreign PCN populations via NCBI GenBank database. The results of molecular studies showed similarities and differences between local and foreign PCN populations in the part of genome that was studied.

Physics , 2013,
Abstract: Background: The cross section for forming a heavy evaporation residue in fusion reactions depends on the capture cross section, the fusion probability, PCN, i.e., the probability that the projectile-target system will evolve inside the fission saddle point to form a completely fused system rather than re-separating (quasifission), and the survival of the completely fused system against fission. PCN is the least known of these quantities. Purpose: To measure PCN for the reaction of 101.2 MeV 18O, 147.3 MeV 26Mg, 170.9 MeV 30Si and 195.3 MeV 36S with 197Au. Methods: We measured the fission fragment angular distributions for these reactions and used the formalism of Back to deduce the fusion-fission and quasifission cross sections. From these quantities we deduced PCN for each reaction. Results: The values of PCN for the reaction of 101.2 MeV 18O, 147.3 MeV 26Mg, 170.9 MeV 30Si and 195.3 MeV 36S with 197Au are 0.66, 1.00, 0.06, 0.13, respectively. Conclusions: The new measured values of PCN agree roughly with the semi-empirical system- atic dependence of PCN upon fissility for excited nuclei.

The hydrogen storage properties of two kinds of metal organic frameworks (MOFs),PCN-61 and PCN-66, have been studied by the grand canonical Monte Carlo method. Their pore size distributions are analyzed by the Horvath-Kawazoe (HK) method. It is found that at 77K and 12MPa, the hydrogen storage weight densities of PCN-61 and PCN-66 can reach 6.2% and 7.0%, respectively. When the pressure is less than 5000kPa, the hydrogen storage capacities of PCN-61 and PCN-66 are not much different. With the increase of pressure, the hydrogen storage capacity of PCN-66 is better than that of PCN-61. This is because when the pore size is less than 8 ?, both of them have almost the same pore volume, while if the pore size is increased from 8 ? to 25 ?, the pore volume of PCN-66 is much larger than that of PCN-61.

Pesticidi i Fitomedicina , 2012,
Abstract: Increased content of pesticides in food chain resulted in using microorganisms asagents of biological control. The potato cyst nematodes (PCN) - Globodera pallida and G.rostochiensis belong to the group of the most important parasites - the quarantine organisms. The external and internal area of a cyst harbor numerous fungal and bacterial species. The aim of this study was to identify antagonistic fungi associated with some PCN populationsfrom Serbia. Fungal antagonists of potato cyst nematodes have not been previouslyinvestigated in our country. The diversity of PCN fungal antagonists is not reflected only atthe species level but also at the level of higher taxonomic categories.
Analytical Study of Pre-Congestion Notification (PCN) Techniques  [PDF]

Abstract: Maintaining the quality of service (QOS) and controlling the network congestion are quite complicated tasks. They cause degrading the performance of the network, and disturbing the continuous communication process. To overcome these issues, one step towards this dilemma has been taken in form of Pre-congestion notification (PCN) technique. PCN uses a packet marking technique within a PCN domain over IP networks. It is notified by egress node that works as guard at entry point of network. Egress node gives feedback to communicating servers whether rate on the link is exceeded than configured admissible threshold or within the limit. Based on this feedback, admission decisions are taken to determine whether to allow/block new coming flows or terminate already accepted. The actual question is about selection of right algorithm for PCN domain. In this paper, we investigate the analytical behavior of some known PCN algorithms. We make slide modifications in originality of PCN algorithms without disquieting working process in order to employ those within similar types of scenarios. Our goal is to simulate them either in highly congested or less congested realistic scenarios. On the basis of simulation done in ns2, we are able to recommend each PCN algorithm for specific conditions. Finally, we develop a benchmark that helps researchers and scientific communities to pick the right algorithm. Furthermore, the benchmark is designed to achieve specific objectives according to the users’ requirements without congesting the network.

Concerning the teaching of a foreign language, one of the most controversial guidelines on the PCN EFII has been the focus on the teaching of reading. Considering that over ten years have passed since the PCN have been published, this article analyses a coursebook from one of the two only English series approved by the PNLD 2011 for the teaching of English in the second part of Ensino Fundamental, trying to understand how this book approaches the teaching of reading. Before the analysis, it is necessary to discuss not only the PCN discourse and its readings, but also the concept of critical literacy, and the PNLD 2011 criteria to teaching reading. Since the analysis aims at critical literacy, the article takes as analytical categories the topics of the texts, the work with discourse genres and the nature of the proposed activities. The analysis intends to discuss how the texts and reading activities establish a dialogue with the theoretical principles of the PCN and the PNLD 2011.
