Abstract: Este trabajo da cuenta del tránsito de Mauricio Ramia (1930) por la carrera de investigador en el campo de la ecología de sabanas en Venezuela. Tras más de cincuenta a os de labor destaca una obra construida y decantada con base en disciplina, intuición y perseverancia.Su esfuerzo constituye un aporte reconocido y valorado por los estudiosos de esta rama en el país, como contribución básica para el establecimiento de análisis posteriores en la ecología de este ecosistema en Venezuela. Su legado se expresa en un considerable número de publicaciones, además de formación y motivación de un significativo grupo de estudiantes y profesionales acerca de estos estudios. This manuscript examines Mauricio Ramia’s career as a researcher in the field of savanna ecology in Venezuela. Abstract: Jose Angel Valente’s work provides an essential reference to comprehend the actual literary fact in Spain. Not only his poetry and essays, but also his thought and his sthetic definition, occupy a very relevant place, in a wider artistic sense. As a result of a large and close relationship -in a musical and personal field- this poet gets also an important presence in the composition of Mauricio Sotelo. In this short text, I seek to overview the way in which the verse of Jose Angel Valente and his poetic and sthetic notions are revealed in Mauricio Sotelo’s compositions. This will lead us to identify also the most important features -like a deep convergence of interdisciplinary references- that define Sotelo’s music.

Abstract: El presente trabajo sobre el cuento Excesos del escritor chileno Mauricio Wacquez, propone una lectura a través de las concepciones de simulacro y travestismo, siendo el primero de ellos redefinido desde sus primeras fuentes en la Antigüedad hasta el siglo XX, siglo en el cual se inicia una proliferación escritural sobre la imagen del travesti. La tesis central de este trabajo postula una incapacidad del encuentro amoroso, a partir del concepto rector en la simulación: la diferencia. Esta diferencia sitúa al travestismo sobre la fisura discursiva o limen, en que el error y la imposibilidad de ser, el desajuste entre los fragmentos del cuerpo, desembocan en una fractalización o pérdida de las componentes fragmentarias y corporales de la simulación. Por esta razón, el concepto de an-atomía reviste características que lo desplazan desde una óptica clásica hacia una ruptura con el pensamiento atomista: la an-atomía del cuerpo en Excesos es la posibilidad de su movimiento hacia la desaparición, concepto que este trabajo pretende establecer, al final, en su lectura concluyente. This paper has been based on the short story Excesos by the Chilean author Mauricio Wacquez. The paper proposes a reading that considers the concepts of simulacrum and transvestism. The former is evaluated in the light of its development from ancient times through the 20th century, period which sees a proliferation of the image of the transvestite in written media. The main thesis lies on the incapability of the loving act as the central term present during simulacra is considered: difference. This difference situates transvestism on a discursive fissure, where both error and the impossibility of being, the disparity between bodily fragments, give rise to a fractalization or a loss of the fragmentary and bodily components of simulation. This is the reason why the concept an-atomy bears features which displace it from a classic viewpoint toward a rupture with atomist thought: the anatomy of the body present in Excesos allow for its movement toward disappearance, concept which will conclude the development of this paper.
