Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Research of Goal Attainment of Green Transportation Development Policy —Take Dongguan “Motorcycle Ban” Policy as an Example  [PDF]

Abstract: Launching the evaluation research of green transportation can grasp the green transportation implementation accurately and diagnose the existing problems. From the perspective of green transportation, this research chose Dongguan “motorcycle ban” policy as the research object, and constructed secondary evaluation index system in transportation and environmental harmony, transportation and future harmony, transportation and society harmony, transportation and resource harmony, four dimensions. Then it used fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model to do the evaluation and found that the policy’s positive effect on the Dongguan green transportation development was average. Finally, based on the evaluation results, measures and advices were proposed.
The decentralized spatial pattern of the financial service industry in Dongguan: a perspective of consumer behavior of enterprises'' financial services

Abstract: This paper analyzes the spatial pattern of financial services industry and the impact of enterprises' financial service consumer behavior on that by using first-hand data obtained through questionnaires and in-depth interviews.The city and second-hand data are from socioeconomic statistics(1991-2004)and second basic units census(2001).The results are as follows: Firstly,a decentralized spatial pattern of financial services industry in Dongguan has been formed as nearly the same as that of secondary industry,which means that these two industries are linked closely to each other. Secondly,the enterprises invested by Hong Kong's and foreign capital are now searching the opportunity for supplying the financial services in Dongguan,Pearl River Delta(PRD) and the whole country.Except PRD,Hong Kong and other areas are becoming the main sources of financial services for enterprises located in Dongguan. Thirdly,the producing bases of multinational corporations,successful Hong Kong enterprises and town-owned industrial firms facilitate the spread of financial services in the town by making the consumption standard and the financial services normalized.As a result,the decentralized spatial pattern of financial service industry has come into being. Finally,the consumer behavior of different enterprises is dissimilar,so is its spatial effect.Comparatively,the 'park-style' consumer behavior of financial services of town-owned firms mainly represents the distinction of less out-of-town consumption and its facilitation to the development of financial services is limited to the scale of township.While the multi-spot style' consumer behavior of multinational corporation producing base plays a key role of causing the spatial centralization and decentralization of financial services with different spatial dimensions at the same time.The 'twin-spot style' consumer behavior of enterprises in Hong Kong,oriented by extensive and in-depth investment and trade between Hong Kong and Guangdong Province,is the micro behavior basis of two processes,which are the industrialization of Pearl River Delta and the transformation of Hong Kong's economy from manufacturing to services industry and the medium for establishing closer financial linkage between Hong Kong and Pearl River Delta.

Abstract: All instructors would all like to be a “Dream Come True” but unfortunately many come across to their students as a ‘nightmare’. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics in effective and successful online and/or face-to-face instructors. Characteristics as perceived by pre-service teachers in each setting were investigated in the survey. Results reveled that students in both types of learning environments desire and appear to need communication (or contact) with the instructor in order to be considered effective and successful in their studies. However, students held face-to-face instructors to higher standards on their knowledge than the online instructors. Survey information was divided into five categories and provided very different information. Although this was a limited study, it provided valuable information that instructors cannot view teaching both online and face to face classes as one-fits all type approach.

Epidemiological feature of syphilis in Houjie of Dongguan,2009-2014

Abstract: 目的 了解厚街镇梅毒疫情流行特征,为制订有效的预防控制措施提供依据。方法 运用描述性流行病学方法,对2009-2014年厚街镇梅毒疫情资料进行统计分析。结果 6年全镇共报告梅毒1 174例,年均报告发病率为44.84/10万,最高为2011年(54.12/10万),最低为2009年(37.20/10万),各年份发病率比较,差异有统计学意义(χ2=20.019,P<0.01)。报告病例以流动人口为主,占78.36%,病例分期以隐性梅毒居多,占68.40%,报告病例主要为20~49岁青壮年,占68.91%,男女比例为1.03∶1,职业分布以工人为最多,占35.26%,时间分布以5月和3月发病例数较多,分别占11.33%和10.76%,区域分布呈中部社区发病例数较多,周边社区较少的情形。结论 厚街镇梅毒处于较高发病率水平,应采取综合防治措施,重点加强流动人口及工厂员工的性病防治知识宣传教育和行为干预工作,提倡安全性行为,增强人们主动筛查、主动防治的意识,有效控制梅毒的流行。

Rationality of City Railway Planning Based on Land Use: A Case Study in Dongguan City, PRC

Abstract: The land along railway route is an important source area of passengers.The land use structure and intensity along railway route will influence both the volume and stability of passengers.This paper analyses the rationality of city railway planning,taking the impact of land use to passenger volume and its stability as criterion.The study area is divided into 14 parts of zones which the railway passes through.GIS data is used to analyses the rationality of railway planning of the city. Two categories of indicators are used in the process of analysis.One is related to land use structure including landscape diversity index,dominance index and the contagion index;the other is used to describe the land use intensity including population density,structure density and floor area ratio.According to the urban land use classification system,the land use along Dongguan city railway route can be classified into 13 categories and 26 sub-categories,that is,residential land,commercial land,industrial land,land for storage,transportation,road and square,public green space,specially used land,agricultural land,water area,open space and hill land.The Fragstats 3.3 is used to analyze landscape indices. Based on the analysis,it is concluded that land use along the railway route is intent to a high diversity,and the structure and intensity of local land use suitable for the operation of transit.The land of the study area can steadily provide large amount of passengers for the city railway transport in the future and the planning of the Dongguan city railway route has a higher rationality.Some part of the railway transit,i.e.Guancheng,Nancheng,Houjie,Chang'an and Dongcheng are planned more rationally.As for Mayong and Daojiao,because of their low landscape diversity,population density,structure density and occupied by a large proportion of agricultural land and water area,the rationality of the planning is relatively lower.Some indices especially the land use intensity indices are favorable to the operation of the transit,but they are with uncertainty for building of the transit due to great amount of compensation to the residents and the land owners living in the buffer.So we should dialectically understand the value of the indices.
Landscape ecological security dynamics in a fast growing urban district: the case of Dongguan City

Abstract: Based on the "pressure-state-response" conceptual framework, an evaluation system is proposed to study landscape ecological security dynamics from 1988 to 2005 in Dongguan City, a fast-growing city in Guangdong Province, China. The pressure index, which describes the pressure that human activities exert on the environment, consists of urban development intensity, population density, distance to major transportation routes, distance to nearest city center and distance to nearest town center. The landscape security state index, which relates to the quality of the environment, is composed of landscape patch density, ecological service value, and landscape vulnerability. The response index, which reflects the reaction of human beings to landscape dynamics, is defined as adjusted intensity of natural reserve districts, forest, park, and crop lands. The evaluation units are Landsat TM pixels and the fundamental data set is obtained by classifying raw TM data. Transportation and city-center location data are obtained from topographic maps. Population, environmental protection, planning, and other data are obtained from the Dongguan statistical yearbook and the Dongguan Department of Environmental Protection. The results for Dongguan City indicate that the pressure index was 0.317, 0.394, and 0.472 in 1988, 1997 and 2005 respectively, which means the landscape pressure increased from 1988 to 2005. The landscape security state indicator was 0.473, 0.406 and 0.365 in 1988, 1997 and 2005, which means landscape security became more insecure. The response to ecological security dynamics was steady from 1988 to 2005. The weighted sum of the pressure index, the landscape security state index, and the response index is the integrated ecological security index which was 0.497, 0.436 and 0.395 in 1988, 1997 and 2005. In short, ecological security declined from 1988 to 2005. The districts with middle-low ecological security expanded outwards from primarily town center locations in 1988 to outlying urban areas and along major transportation routes by 2005. The high ecological security districts, which consist of reservations, forest land, parks, and rivers, were steady from 1988 to 2005. The study indicates that the pixel evaluation unit based on 1 km×1 km neighborhoods is useful for calculating urban development intensity and landscape patch density, and in smoothing the ecological security grade boundary.

Abstract: Recently there has been a great evolution of new diagnostic and therapeutic methods of cardiovascular diseases. However, they still remain the most common death cause in the Western countries. Despite the fact that new methods of dealing with cardiovascular diseases like for example percutaneous coronary interventions or coronary artery bypass grafting are constantly being improved, there is still a group of patients that can not undergo the routine treatment. It is a good stimulus for searching different ways of dealing with cardiovascular diseases. New vascular methods based on interfering in processes of vessels' creation and regression, seem to be an interesting direction of current studies. This article reviews the basis of vasculogenesis, angiogenesis and arteriogenesis and angiogenic therapies, learned from the latest trials. Vascular therapies offer a promise as a novel treatment for ischemic heart disease, particularly for patients who are not candidates for current methods of revascularization.
